So they have the $77 promo for 10 vent, and my mom live in a condo, so it is less then 10 vent. So we decide to call and give it a try. Since her duct had mold issue, it was expected to cost more, but guess how much it cost atthe end....? $7000! You read it right seven thousand dollars. So I am not sure if this is common, but for less than 10 vent, 1 intake, and some demolding, is it really suppose to cost $7000? I did some research online, and they only bring in a brusile with a small vacummn tube, hooked back to the car, unlike the big one I saw on youtube, they claim this is the "new technology", the big tube is old school. They did climb up to the attic and did some duct work cleaning, and supposly removed a lot of molds. Then they did spay some chemical on the duct work. So I think they did a good job on cleaning, but my questions is.... Is it worth $7000? And they also did a poor job after cleaning the dut, there are dust and mold on the ground everywhere.... we ask them to clean up, they said they already clean it. So they left with a lot of dust and mold on the carpet, floor, table, everwhere. Also, we asked the "professional" to remove their shoes or wear a booty, and they refused. This is the first time I ever got duct work done, can someone please tell me how much it suppose to cost?

Same story as every review I have seen on this company. They come in and explain that they cannot do the service they are advertising to clean your air ducts for $79.00. You have MOLD!!! Yikes, I better be worried. We can take care of it for $1700.00. Stay away from these scammers.

This went as well as you'd expect. Two people showed up at my house after calling to let me know how far out they were. That was great, and appreciated. When they arrived, Natasha, and a man who's name I did not catch were welcome into our home. The lady was very nice, personable and easy to talk to. The man didn't speak much English, so Natasha translated for us. Again, I appreciated that. However, they weren't in our home for very long before announcing they found mold. We were told that they 'needed' to do some proper mold cleaning, and it would be costly. We rent, so we had to get in contact with our property management people and let them know what was found. Natasha briefly spoke with them, herself, and came off slightly pushy and urgent. Informing them and us that their business is now based out of Houston, due to hurricane Harvey and all the work they have there. Understandable. She let us know it's illegal for the company not to fix the issue, however she failed to mention that it's also illegal for her to say it's definitely mold without testing it. We've had two other AC duct guys let us know that, since then. She quoted us for a little over $1,000 to fix the mold issue. Money that I did not have at the time. I had a coupon, as previously stated, for $77. I ended up paying $137.48. The coupon says it's for air duct cleanings, all the way to the unit, one air return and two free rooms of carpet cleanings. I was charged extra for two other air returns, $25 a piece. I asked Natasha to please talk to us before doing any work, that way I could make sure we had the money for whatever extra it may be, and give the okay to go ahead. She said sure, but this wasn't done. She had the man go ahead and clean the air returns and then asked me if it was okay. I was using a coupon, so clearly my money is tight and I'm on a budget, but sure, I guess since it was done, it was okay. So, at this point, we have mold, they're continuing to clean the air ducts despite said mold, I'm being charged more than I thought, and my house is stressed out about said mold. The man finishes up cleaning the vents and starts putting the covers back on them all, as the lady is talking to us about the process and what we should have done concerning the mold and something about getting an ultra violet light installed. They proceeded to do the carpet cleaning, as advertised on just the living room carpet because the square footage of the room equals two rooms according to Natasha. She let us know the carpet would take 5-7 HOURS to dry. FIVE TO SEVEN HOURS. When you steam clean your own carpet, it's common knowledge that you don't soak the carpet so much that it takes that long to dry. This was supposed to have been a professional cleaning, and that should NEVER take that long to dry. That could cause all kinds of issues within the carpet and it's padding. We told them to go ahead because I was already $137 in the hole and it was a free service. Sure enough when they left, after the man hurriedly cleaned the carpet, it was SOAKED. It was like walking through puddles in a parking lot, soaked. I plugged in two box fans, opened windows and turned on the ceiling fan, while I towel dried the floor. That was unacceptable. Fast forward to today (these people came out on 1/31/18 and today is 2/8/18), We had an Air Duct guy come out and look in our vents and at the unit itself. He let us know it was illegal for someone to tell us that we had mold without testing it first. He also let us know that the issue wasn't as bad it was made out to be, and that mold isn't the issue. He also told us about the dirt and dust bunnies he found in the unit that was supposed to have been cleaned, and the vents leading out. So, I paid $137 to be lied to about mold, to have them ever so kindly leave their hurricane Harvey flood waters on my living room floor, and for them to half clean the vents. They only cleaned what we could see. I don't understand how this company who claims to be only out in Houston because of Hurricane Harvey and how much work they have there, when they clearly don't know what mold looks like, and only know how to soak carpets. I don't know how this company stays in business and I would NEVER EVER suggest them to anyone I know.

I ever used this company three times after receiving their coupons in mail. Every time they try to induce me to do something expensive or helpless. Last time when I rejected their offered extra service, the guy(that guy with long tail in his hair) was unhappy. After he finished his work and left, I found a lot of dust blown out from vents when turning on AC ! I think he intentionally blew dusts into my air ducts. Will never use this company's service again !

I joined Angie's List for the sole purpose of posting this review: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!! I went with them on price. They have come 3 times now to attempt to clean my sofa and loveseat and have yet to get out the original stains. On top of that, after their second visit, we noticed all of our cushions developed severe mold and mildew inside and out. We've followed the rules of their dispute resolution (joke) and have been told this has never happened and there is nothing more they can do. Now my calls are being ignored. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!

I expected a high tech "rotobrush" system that could extend thoughout my air duct structure. The guys basically came in, took off the vent covers and vacuumed the vent and the cover. The rotobrush was a brush with a 1-2 foot handle that the guy rotated with his hands. One guy tried to sell me a sanitizer treatment that would cost an additional $250. They also cleaned an area rug. The cleaning wand they used left residual brown water on the edge of the rug. I have tile flooring so the residual water made the floor very slippery. I had to clean up the excess water so I wouldn't fall. I will never use this service again. I have seen no benefits. There has been no decrease in the amount of dust I find on my furniture. There is no decrease in my allergy symptoms. I doubt if I will ever use a service like this one again.

Company hired for Air duct cleaning. Technician showed up on time. Price given over the phone was not the final price for the service, but technician explained that they charge per vent, so I agreed to pay. As soon as the he started opening the vents, his actitud was very unprofessional. He told me that my air ducts had mold ( in an almost 3 years old house) and every time he showed me a vent to prove that it had mold, he smiled in an very happy way as if it was the best new he was giving me. Then he told me that he would charge me $1800 for mold cleaning... I understood then why he was feeling so happy. I told him that all that was a surprise for me, and that I was not going to pay that kind of money at that moment so I declined to get the service. The technician got very upset and started to ask me if I didn't have any credit card, and also that if I was going to let my air duct to get more damaged. He was very rude, unprofessional and pushy... And I had to ask him to leave. I paid for the air duct "cleaning" $264.13, which still looked outrageous, and called to his supervisor who came to be the owner of the company, Mr. Bublil. I told him what happenned and his great idea of customer service was to offer me a split payment for the mold service, which I did not want to get done. I, then, worried about my air ducts, called two different companies to get their opinions about the mold, and to my surprise, both agreed that the air ducts weren't cleaned that they had a lot of dust and they were dirty. I was so upset, I called Mr. Bublil, then sent him a letter requesting a refund, they called me back two weeks after my first letter, saying that they would send a technician on a sunday, I waited all day long, nobody showed up, sent him a second letter, and haven't heard from them since. Here's what I think: This company lies over the phone when they give you the price for the service, they lie to you when they show up at your home. They don't perform the service, and charge you very high for not doing nothing. You can use any adjective for that. I feel I was robbed, and they are so irresponsible they don't even care to try to ammend it.

I was at work at the time with my husband at home 'supervising'. They RUINED my carpet that I had installed just 3.5 yrs prior. It has taken me 1 year to finally receive a settlement from their insurance company which does not even begin to cover the damage. Also, I was overcharged per the discount offer. Very creative accounting. I am now in negotiations with my credit card company and they are pursing reimbursement from SteamExpress bank.

We had a coupon for 69 cents per square foot for grout for tile cleaning. We needed to have the grout cleaned quickly and set up the appointment. They gave us a time window of 2:00 to 6:00 P.M. but said we could call on the day of service (today) and they would give us a better estimate of when they would be arriving. I called and was told they would be at our home at 4:00 P.M. So I started on another project I had at home. At 1:50 P.M. I got a call from the service technician that he would be at our home in twenty to thirty minutes. They arrived at 2:15 P.M. And then the "bait and switch" came. He told me that the 69 cent per square foot special coupon doesn't actual clean the grout well at all - it is just soap and water. In order to actually clean the grout, he needed to add a chemical to the soap and water that would make the price $1.15 per square foot. I asked what the chemical was and he said he didn't know but would get the name for me. He didn't. He was extremely evasive on all of my questions and I just had to keep re-asking them until I got answers. We are in a hurry to get the grout cleaned in order to show our home for sale, so I told him to to the work. But I stood at the kitchen counter and watched both of them do the work to make sure they actually did it. When it was done, he "assured" me that I had made the right choice in having the additional chemical cleaner added because of the beautiful job it would be when it dried. It does look fine, but the entire job took a grand total of 22 minutes from beginning to end. I know I should have checked Angie's List first and I think I should have just rented the little machine they had from Lowe's and did it myself. There is no way it would have cost $355. I was really glad to see them leave and they will not be coming back into any home we have. I highly recommend that no one use this company.

The owner of Steam Express came to my home and cleaned my carpets. He did a good job. He came when he was supposed to and worked hard.

I would not recommend this company to anyone that values their area rugs. I was almost not able to save my rugs...each had to be cleaned several times to get the odor and mildew removed. I will never use this company in the future ...nor, recommend them to anyone I know. I did receive the credit back but, it was a very expensive pick-up and delivery fee.

I decided to do three rooms and the stairway and they told me that it would $3.00 per steps. Before they started they gave me the estimate and then I got a 35.00 charge before they started. I questioned them about the charge and told me that my steps carpets were pretty bad, so that is the extra charge. I told them that the lady advised me that there would be no extra charge. When I called them, no one answered and left them a message. They cleaned the three rooms and steps in about 30 minutes. They didn?t even move my furniture; I had already moved that out of my rooms. I called the boss and left a message and my daughter went and looked at the rooms. We noticed the stains and they told me that they wouldn?t be able to get the stains out of the carpet and that I would have to hire someone else. My daughter questioned the workers about his bad job and he started yelling at her and they told her ?Why don?t you hire someone else to clean your carpets then?? I was told that they used a stain remover but it looks like nothing was used. The receptionist told me that I shouldn?t have been charge $35.00. My daughter noticed that there was a lot of water on the floor and she asked them to clean up the water. The worker told her to get a towel and he would clean it up. They told me that they don?t carry any towels with them to clean up the mess. I told him that I could get something else to clean it up and then he told me that he was going to be late for his next appointment. I also noticed that the workers didn?t wear any booties on their boots.

He said I had some duct material falling out that had mold and not dirt on it. A few days after they had left I had black flecks falling onto my carpet. I don't know if it was worth the trouble I went through to have it done. I thought it was costly for the work they did.

STEAM EXPRESS DID A THOROUGH CLEANING ON THE CARPETS AND WAS ABLE TO REMOVE TOUGH STAINS.

NICE MAN WHO CAME OUT, BUT NOT WORTH THE PRICE.
