Overall, the experience was poor. The estimate took forever to get and after a long time, they finally followed-up.

Another company gave us a more thorough estimate; Starpower left out a lot of items that we had told them that we wanted.

The installer arrived at our home without all the cabling necessary to complete the installation. Instead of calling for more, he dispatched me out to purchase the additional wiring. Additionally, his work order did not include every component we understood we had purchased. Finally, when you purchase the system and labor, the labor is estimated in terms of hours ($150/hour). Starpower calculates different labor functions separately. Installation is calculated as a certain amount of hours, along with programming the system remote control, etc. However, it turns out that these hours run concurrently with each other. Hence, you pay a certain rate for installation, plus a certain rate for programming during the SAME period (hours) of time. In our case we were paying as much as $300/hr for labor at one point. This was particularly annoying since the installer knew nothing about the device he was programming and simply reading the instruction manual as his assistant dozed.
Description of Work: We chose Starpower to provide and install surround sound components for our home theater system. We purchased both the equipment and the labor from Starpower.
