 + 5 moreWe called Elizabeth because we were impressed with the job she had done at our neighbor's home. We also interviewed 2 other landscapers. She was the most reasonable and most appealing. She worked very closely with us to be sure we understood each other and were getting exactly what we wanted. She was very accomodating with our requests and changes. She and her crew were here on a rather cold and raw day but they stayed out there for several hours and worked diligently and thoroughly, checking with us all along the way.. Everyting was done perfectly,including clearing of old landscape, tilling in gardening soil and compost of our choice, planting large plants (several were our own from large pots), fertilizing all new plantings with organic root activator, adding sprinklers to get better coverage, moving and reinstalling stones, mulching our entire front landscape, and cleaning up all that they had done as well as other areas that needed it. All debris was hauled away. We couldn't be more pleased with the whole experience and the end result. We are recommending her to everyone.

She guarantees her work and works within your budget, offering money saving suggestions. Her invoices are always in line with her proposals and estimates. She sends email updates on their weekly maintenance, in addition to reminders about freeze warnings, etc. We are very happy with Splendid Gardens.
Description of Work: Extensive landscaping to a 5,000 square foot front lawn that was almost barren. Installed flagstone bed border from driveway to front walk, which is also a walk path. Prepared raised beds for 15 Encore Azaleas. Prepared three other extensive flower beds. Installed one 45 gal. Natchez Crape Myrtle, six 5-gal. Double Knockout Rose bushes, six 5-gal. Dwarf Purple Loropetalum shrubs, one 10-gal. Japanese Maple tree, multiple flats of annuals and perennials. Transplanted existing bushes to new landscaping. Top dressed all beds with mulch, pruned existing bushes, and provided a thorough clean-up. Top dressed barren lawn spots with Canadian Peat Moss. Watered in all plants with Miracle Grow. Consequently we hired them to do our complete lawn maintenance which includes: mowing all turf areas, edging and line trimming, clean-up, shrub and groundcover pruning, weed removal in beds, fertilization of lawn, weed control for lawn, fertilization of beds, seasonal color deadheading, irrigation system checks and minor adjustments, fire ant control, tree pruning and fertilization, leaf removal in beds and turf areas, insect control on plants and flowers, reccycle all debris at off-site locaton, fungicide of lawn.

 + 2 moreMy experience with Elizabeth (owner) and her crew has been excellent ! When Elizabeth gave the initial quote, she was in no rush, spent a lot of time with me, listened well and made recommendations. I did get one other quote and her prices are very competitive and extremely fair. When her crew came to do the work, they did an outstanding job - they pay attention to detail, work very hard, and do a superb clean up afterwards. Elizabeth is on site monitoring, advising, and getting her hands dirty too. I was so satisfied with the work I hired her company to do the weekly lawn maintenance and fertilization. And now, she is available for any questions I have, or if something needs additional pruning, or something needs transplanting or replacing, it can be added to the weekly maintenance.
Description of Work: Initially I had all the grass in my back yard replaced, 2 pathways made up of decomposed granite and flagstone stepping stones created from deck/driveway to access gates, 3 Italian cypress trees planted, plus various other smaller plants planted, some plants I had transplanted and various bushes pruned. On an ongoing basis, Splendid Gardens does my weekly lawn maintenance, fertilizes the grass and shrubs and prunes. After the initial job she also did 2 spectacular tall blue pots to put beside the pool and filled them with a beautiful selection of plants. They have also done some sprinkler repairs for me.
