We couldn't be happier with the brighter light that we now have in our kitchen. The fact that it's a quality energy efficient skylight makes it all the better. Chris did the install. So far no problems. We haven't had a good rain yet, but I don't expect to see any leaking issues. If you are looking to install or replace a skylight, please give Chris a call for a professional job. Chris was professional and friendly. The skylights were exactly the low profile design just as we had discussed during our initial meeting. I really did appreciate not only Chris's attention to detail but also his respect for our property during the installation of the skylights. Chris, owner of Southwest Skylights, came promptly to inspect the damage and discuss the options for skylight replacement. He was very straight-forward in his manner, and he took time to explain options thoroughly. He did the work soon after our agreement to have him do it. He was easily reached by phone, and he welcomed having the replacement observed and teaching what each element of the work entailed. He and his helper were very congenial in their manner and did not rush the work. His way of working elicits trust.

Chris was very responsive since my first inquiry. It was easy and quick to schedule an appointment and he arrived punctually, explained my options in a very courteous and professional manner and performed the work right away. The whole process was very straight forward and took about one hour or maybe a few minutes more. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the service provided.

Chris came out last night and checked on our skylight. It was an old patio skylight with a brown tint. He recommended a flat skylight because it was made out of better material than the dome skylight. He also recommended a white skylight versus the brown because it would make our living room brighter. He came this morning and it was done by 12:00 pm. We are so thrilled! It has lightened up our living room considerably. He was very knowledgeable and professional. I would definitely recommend them to fix or install a skylight.

Difficult to recommend a company who can't take the time to schedule an appointment for service.

Arrived promptly. Took necessary measurements. Worked seamlessly with the contractor who was building the studio. Ordered the skylight and solar powered shade and notified me when it was in. He then interfaced directly with the contractor. The installation was done with the same day. He then did the tutorial for operation and explained the energy credits applicable to our design. I enjoyed working with Chris and highly recommend him and Southwest Skylights without reservation. Most of all, I guarantee you will love the happy room the natural light produces. I needed a new skylight that would diffuse the light coming into my kitchen. Chris explained the type of skylight that I currently had -- and what he would replace it with -- Velux Skylight. He came when he said that he would to give me an estimate, and was actually able to do the work sooner than he estimated. I was very pleased.

Chris came out, reviewed the problem, explained the problem - previous roofer used wrong size skylight! We told him to replaced it and he did. Excellent job and service.

He spent time looking over our skylights to determine the cause of the leaks and informed us that the problem was not with our skylights, but with our roof. It went extremely well. I am more than satisfied with the service provided by Southwest Skylights. We discussed my service request in depth. A date was set and Chris, with one assistant showed up as scheduled. Work was done and completed in a very timely manner. The work area was cleaned and left with the new tubes in place. In addition, Chris noticed that my roof had a sloppy repair, asked me if I had any shingles; and if so he would repair it to meet both functional and esthetic standards. No charge! I got shingles and Chris did the repair! That's taking care of your customer!! I love my bright bathrooms so thank you Chris and Southwest Skylights.

Chris was very knowledgeable and communicated the process clearly. Installation was perfect, from framing through final install. Chris was very responsive to our phone calls and showed up on time, as scheduled. We are very happy with the new skylight and would definitely use this company again.

He was prompt to call me back from my first message, a little late to the appointment but called me right back, and considering every skylight in Coppell was busted I knew he was super busy and I really did not mind. He also had two appointments after mine and it was like 4 or 5 on Friday when he finished my house. He was super knowledgeable and worked fast. So far it isn't leaking lol 6-28-12 I had my roof done today. The roofer was thinking the Velux flashing kit I bought wouldn't work b/c the size of the new skylight Chris put in was a bit different than the one it replaced. Well, I called Chris, and although it was quite lucky, Chris was heading my way anyway for some other jobs (because people are smartly hiring him), he talked to the roofer on the phone to get them started while he was on the way, and came to my house to climb up on the roof with the roofers and make sure my Velux was installed completely correctly along with my new roof. He did not have to do that. He did not charge. This was already late in the day and he made time for the unexpected stop. He makes sure it is done right and does not leaving you hanging. If you want a skylight, hire this guy.

Call Chris and keep calling him. He is worth the wait assuming your skylight is not broke. If it is broke I would assume he would shuffle his schedule to take care of you; that is the type of person he is. Once we were on his schedule he promptly quoted the job, scheduled the job, and completed the job.

I contacted Chris to get an estimate on replacing my skylight in my bathroom. The same day he went to my house and called me with an estimate. After speaking with him I decide to hire him site unseen. There was a little confusion on the start date but everything worked out as planned. When he arrived, he took time to show me what he was installing, explained the product and the warranty and answered all my questions. He worked very fast and efficiently. Although we have not had a rain to test for leaks, I am confident that it will not leak and if it did, I am also confident that he will fix the problem immediately. I would recommend Chris for any of your skylight needs. He knows what he is doing.

Chris was very prompt in responding to my initial email. He met me at our house on a Monday, measured the correct size and gave me a quote. We agreed on installing Wednesday of that same week. Chris was on time and had all the proper equipement and parts. He even temporarily covered the opening while he corrected the frame size on our house to avoid any dirt or pieces falling into the house. Chris obviously is a pro at installing these, finished quickly and cleaned. I received a detailed receipt and warranty information. Chris's company provides an installation guarantee in addition to the mfg. warranty on the skylight. Great to know if there is a problem later. It was great to deal with an owner that does the work himself and is very focused on quality work. I would gladly have Chris perform more work in the future.

Everything went smoothly. Chris picked up the new skylight with me. Set up his operation in my back yard, removed old skylight, prepared the area so as to minimize debris getting into the house, assembled new skylight including the venetian blinds, installed new skylight. Was efficient, he did not waste time.

Chris came out to do measurements on our skylight while we were at work. We discussed options on the phone and he gave us a quote on what a standard skylight would cost to replace. He gave us great suggestions on going with a frosted, low E glass. We had viewed pictures of Velux skylights online so were informed on what we wanted as well. It was about a week later he came out and replaced our skylight one afternoon. He was punctual and did the replacement quickly. It rained a few days later which was a good thing and no leaks whatsover. We couldn't be happier with our new skylight.

Initial call got lost, Had to cal two or three times to get back on their radar. Once I had done that, the work was performed quickly and professionally.

Found Southwest Skylights on Angie's, he was accommodated our schedule and brought the various alternatives to both replace what we had and at our request the upgrades available. He demonstrated patience and understanding answering our questions discussing the pluses & minuses of each. We chose to upgrade which he had to order. After a week for the skylights to be built by the manufacturer, he installed promptly & showed excellant care and attention to detail. Just an excellant experience.
