Our experience was a very good one. Roberta did everything to accommodate us. We love the granite and backsplash. I would definitely recommend them for your home.

Very pleased with the project. Employees are very courteous,professional and prompt. Interacted with 7 individuals of the company; project manager, template maker, granite installers, backsplash installers and accounting department. All were pleasurable. All estimates, timing and workmanship were impeccable. Entire project was completed within two and a half weeks from initial contact.

Mediocre. Bottom line: - Mis-leading in their representation of using discretion to make sure you are satisfied. - Hard to work with once job gets started. Won't start on time and won't return phone calls in a timely manner. - They know their business....to protect themselves and work quickly get their job done and for them to deem it "satisfactory". - Crappy work. Poor quality for a product that is suppose to be considered refined and high end. - I am willing to send pictures to anyone who wants them of our job. Pictures say a thousand words. My email is: change_in_stjoe@yahoo.com - Detailed issues on our job: Edgar the program manager was very good at selling their capabilities. He talked as if they will work with us and make sure that we were satisfied. He assured that any damage to the surrounding areas aside from minor dry wall rip from taking out the back splash would be repaired. He said he would make sure that the seams were minimized to just the sink and the induction cook top. Very presentable and had us sold. Acted as though he had discretion and would make sure things were done right and we would be satisfied. After my wife signed the contract to start then the trouble began. During the day of the job and they did not show up on time, he never returned phone calls in a timely manner. We had to physically go to their shop before someone would talk to us on the day when the job was to start. When they started it was late in the afternoon. The first guy that came out to install came with a sink cut out that was in the wrong place. It would have protruded into the dishwasher area. They spent about 3 hours that day and we were left with no sink to use for the Memorial day weekend because of their screw-up. When they were getting the seams to even up, they ground the stone inside our house and assured us that no dust would occur. There was dust everywhere and we spent the next day having to vacuum the whole house. They used epoxy to support sink to counter top even though they were instructed to use the provided brackets. They stated this was sufficient and used all the time, they also supported one side of the sink using thick cardboard. I question how well this is going to hold up over time when the epoxy ages. Screws and brackets would have taken more time to install, but they will last and it would have been the proper way to install (manufacturing instructions) Bought two slabs that was plenty of area to allow for minimizing the seams at the cooktop and the sink as instructed. They did the sink but took short cuts and did not cut out at the cook-top. Instead they left a huge seam that was at least 1/16" wide (see pictures). If they were to cut in a different location, they should have called us and told us if this was acceptable and allow us to make the decision on whether or not we wanted that big a seam or not. Their reasoning was that the slabs imperfection did not allow for the cuts to be where they were. Well, that should have been our call and not theirs. We said the seams were way to big and they need to fix it. They said its within acceptable limits and were unwilling to do anything about it. They damaged our trim that was not part of tear out and was not willing to fix it. Instead of cutting the trim, they used a chisel to try and cut the clearance which ripped the trim along its grain. Edgar said they were not handymen and would not fix it. We had to call them back in to provide more support in the back corners of the granite to make sure there was adequate support. This should have been done the first time. They left a big black filler spill on our side walk which we had to ask to have cleaned up. They did not line up the granite to the wood trim therefore there is a huge gap between the stove and the granite.

Everything went on well. I have to get a plumber to come and install it. They can take it out but can’t put them back together. The price is good.

I sent a request for quote to five fabricators that I found on Angie's List and Solid Stone Fabricators (SSF) replied that day with a quote for a turn key job. They were the lowest price (barely, most were within a few hundred dollars) and Roberta provided the best communication of the process. After giving SSF the project, they sent me a contract for the project, I paid 50% down and they promptly set me up with the granite distributor so I could pick out my slabs, worked with me on sink option, helped choose an edge, and scheduled an appointment to perform their own measurements. The install was scheduled far in advance and they were kind enough to push the install back later in the day because of a last minute scheduling conflict on my part. The two installers were very friendly (only one spoke english), efficient, and hard working. No time spent chit chatting or day dreaming, they went to work and didn't stop until I was happy with everything. They stayed late while I modified a cabinet so the countertop would be level (they will shim but not cut your cabinets). After the install they cleaned and sealed the countertops, vacuumed up and removed all debris from the job. SSF was very professional in all aspects and I will be using them again soon on a house I'm buying.

I saw the website and thought these guys looked like a great place to buy granite. I'm sure they still are great fabricators and can provide excellent service. What I did not like was the manner to which we were given an estimate and a quote. We had a guy show up at our house and provided me with an over estimated size on our sq footage. Strike one. He provided no itemized quote or estimate, just a few numbers on the back of a business card. He also tried to play up the stone type we were going to purchase as if he was giving us a great deal and that a lady had a bunch of stone leftover and that we'd miss out if we didn't buy soon. Strike 2. Unfortunately I emailed the manager and got about the same price as his great deal price. The multiple phone calls afterward trying to ask if we were still interested didn't help either. Strike 3. Overall, before I even got to the services, I was turned off by the used car salesman tactics.

I dealt with Edgar, there were several major confusing things. He did tell me to go to office to view some samples for island but when I drove over to Dallas I found out no one in office had any information concerning my bid, which was a giant hour long waste of time driving over there. The receptionist was not very clued in and could not even give me a list of the prices that correspond with granite as shown on internet. They have several websites when you dod a google search so it becomes confusing which one is current. Also they promise a free vanity top if you have 70 foot or more, which I did, but they did not provide. They said I would have had to make sure that was on estimate, but I did not know if I would have 70 or more till they measured it. I did use them again, quality of work pretty good but they mis drilled one hole VERY badly on my sink and it is causing me many problems. Both times they were over two hours late for install and one time after waitiing 3 hours I called ot find out they would have to reschedule. Quality is okay, professionalism needs work. I marked down on punctuality because of installers, Edgar did show up for measuring when he said, he was on time. On my apron front sink, one side of sink versus otherside the granite is off by almost 1/2 inch so that on left side the cabinet is covered (correct) and on right side of apron front, the granite cut back to far and top of cabinet that should be covered by granite shows. I found that disappointing as well as fact that my faucets holes one is extra big and one too big. on the positive, they do excellent seams. Edgar is nice but there website misleading about free vanity top if you have kitchen with 70 or more sq feet. I feel bad being negative, as they are nice but the lateness, the botched holes, and fact they did not explain how I could get my free vanity even though I bought TWO kitchens from them with 70 plus and did not get a free vanity top as web site says.

It went great! We were very impressed with Edgar and Solid Stone. It came down to two fabricators and unfortunately you can only pick one. We chose another company only because they got better rates on the particular granite we chose. Solid Stone had great deals too with various suppliers but just not on what we had chosen in particular. I reccommend everyone call Solid Stone and Edgar when you are interviewing to update your home.

I met Edgar from Solid Stone Fabricators at the stone yard to pick my slab. He was very helpful and knowledgeable. After choosing the slab on a Thursday, the workmen came to template the job on Friday and my installation was completed on the following Tuesday. On installation day, the crew of two arrived on time and got started immediately. They worked quickly and cleaning, getting rid of our old countertop and backsplash. They cleaned up and swept after every step of the process. The counters went in smoothly and look fabulous. I purchased my sinks from Solid Stone Fabricators and they look great and were much less expensive than those found in the home improvement stores. My countertops are my favorite part of my new kitchen and I would recommend this company without reservation

I decided to have Solid Stone Fabricators install my glass backsplash tile after seeing what a wonderful job they did on my granite counters. I provided the tile, and the company provided all other materials - mastic, grout,etc. The job was completed in a timely manner and the work looks fantastic. The company contacted me to make sure I was happy with the work before running the job on my credit card, which showed me that this isn't the type of company to disappear when the job is done.

They had a lot of stone remnants and so we were able to get a reduced price on the stone that we wanted. I will use them again in the future.

The vanities came out GREAT! The templates were completed on time and the granite installation went smoothly. We had a choice of 8 edges to select from and the Sales Rep, Jason Anderson, was very customer friendly and helpful.This was a fantastic price since remnants could be used.

They were a little late for the job, but once they were here they were very professional and did a great job....
