Description of Work: Treat the yard with organic products to enhance growth and health. Treat for weeds as needed with pre-emergents. Very professional, leave a report of what was done on each visit with any instructions.

Description of Work: Used them for years. They should know what a weed is called, in some cases they don't. They can't control nutsedge or annual bluegrass. Treatment is spotty at best, lost of missed areas during application.

Description of Work: Provided organic products to fertilize the grass and shrubs. OK. It was too expensive for a monthly service.

Description of Work: Soils Alive has come to the house two times to fertilize and control for lawn pests and weeds. Both times I have received texts the evening before stating a technician would be at the house the following day. One day I was home and met the tech, Jorge, who was very professional and explained clearly what he was going to do. Since it was drizzling, he said he would return another day to spray for weeds. He came two days later. I am very pleased!

Description of Work: Lawn fertilization, weed control. Their service is on the expensive side as compared to others, but the results speak for themselves, plus it is more environmentally friendly application.

Description of Work: I have an annual contract with Soils Alive to treat approximately 12,000 sf of landscaping with their organic program. I have used them for a number of years; they do an excellent job and results are excellent. They always call the day before they come to let me know what they will be applying. They are always professional and courteous. Give them a try. You won't be disappointed.

Description of Work: I signed a contract for a one year service for organic pest control and turf enhancement for my yard. They were very professional and helpful. I did not see as great improvement in my yard as I had hoped. But perhaps it takes more than a year for significant improvement. The price was steep for me so that is the reason I would not use them again

Description of Work: I did not have a lawn before, just weeds and clay soil. I have been working with soil alive since 2009. Now I Have one of the best looking lawn in my neighborhood. I did some patches here and there and do not have to worry about fertilizing , weed control , etc I love soil alive and will |keep continuing service for years to come.

Description of Work: I have used Soils Alive for three years after going organic on my own. Their products and services are excellent. I get a statement with details about what was applied, whether I need to water it in and/or stay off the lawn. |My first season, I did not want pre-emergent applied in the fall. But then I changed my mind in spring when the weeds began popping up. Even though the weed killer was applied at the wrong time (with my permission), it halted the progress and reduced weeds to a manageable number. |The rest of the growing season, I get the soil builder program and they explained why they vary or rotate the organic products they use so my lawn and soil will continue to benefit and thrive. |I happy that I don't have to haul and store heavy bags of molasses, corn meal gluten, and organic fertilizer. The cost of having Soils Alive feed my lawn every two months is comparable PLUS I don't have to haul, lift, and apply it. It's a win-win. My soil and gardens are the best in the neighborhood and I am so happy to have earth worms and other beneficials after going organic. Also, their Blog provides timely and key regional information that I wouldn't get otherwise. |Joe always calls the night before he is scheduled to come. He is very fast, courteous, and (if I can catch him), he'll answer any questions I have. |Trust Soils Alive and pretty soon you'll have the best yard in your neighborhood, too!

Description of Work: I've used Soils Alive since early 2012. They are professional and they only provider of "organic" lawn care, though their weed treatments are not entirely organic as they admit, the organic weed control products have limited effectiveness. They are nearly twice as expensive as the standard products; however, my lawn looks great (much better than my neighbors) and I place significant value on using organic lawncare. Apart from their higher prices, I believe they provide high quality services and I feel they deserve consideration.
