+ -1 moreIt did not go so well. He was kind of slow and the paint job is not what I want it to be. The kitchen is small and it should have been an 8 hour job and he didn't complete within that time frame. I had to finish the job for myself. The price was good though.
Description of Work: I used Shawn Miller for painting services. He was painting my kitchen.

+ 1 moreWe had a hot water heater that leaked into a spare bedroom and walk-in closet for several days before it finally let go completely. Needless to say, it ruined a lot of things, caused mold and mildew and the carpet and part of the walls was sopping wet. The people that came out to dry everything out cut holes in the closet to dry out the area under the hot water heater and dried out the walls. After we removed everything from the bedroom, we called Shawn to come out and do his magic.
Description of Work: Shawn repaired the sheetrock perfectly, repainted the entire bedroom, including the ceiling. He had to repair and repaint the molding around the base of the wall, He also sanded and repainted the doors. Shawn is the ultimate professional. He has been a painter for over 20 years and takes great pride in his work. I don't think he charges enough, but in this economy, he takes every job he can.

+ 2 moreIf you want someone that is meticulous in his work, Shawn is your man. I sometimes felt he was taking too long, but when he was through, the job was perfect. His rates are extremely reasonable. You furnish the paint, he furnishes a top notch job. He sometimes has to come late because of his son, but his work is so good, we didn't mind. We've had painters that were faster, but we were not nearly as happy with their work and they were much more expensive.
Description of Work: Sheetrock repair, priming of walls, caulking all edges and spaces, sanding, taping off woodwork, etc. He worked the kitchen, breakfast room and two baths before painting all three. He even had to repair and paint some of the woodwork because it had been damaged when we had granite countertops installed. The sheetrock was damaged when we tried to remove the old wallpaper and it pulled off some of the sheetrock paper with it. He worked a total of 5 1/2 days.
