They arrived and were installed very professionally in the time promised. The shutters are absolutely beautiful and very good quality.

They showed up on time for my consultation and because my 3 windows that are across the back of my house are stair step in height with an arched top I was puzzled how to make these shutters function and look pleasing as well. They came up with the perfect solution and the price was less than I received from one of my other bids. They gave me the right advise for the size of the louvers as well. The installation was awesome as well. I definitely recommend Sewell Shutters.

First, let me say I met with two vendors prior to meeting with Kris. Lowe's made me question whether I went with them because the date the installer told me to go back to to store to pay for the shutters, the McKinney store could not find my order. It wasn't until 5 days later that they got my order from the installer (Graber). By that time, I thought maybe it wasn't a good idea to go with them. I contacted Sewell via Angie's List. Got a call from Kris to schedule an appointment (apparently Kris is with another division of Sewell). And would you believe it... he arrived before I got to the house! Which is wonderful because customer service now-a-days is sketchy. We had to meet during my lunch hour because my work schedule is crazy. He was highly knowledgable about their product, made recommendations and did a rough measurement to get me a quote right then and there. The quote was reasonable, it was $200 lower than Lowe's and that's with a Lowe's sale/discount. I immediately wrote a check for 50% down for three (3) shutters. I thought I would go with them because they manufacture their shutters locally. I then scheduled an appointment with the installer (Steve) for actual measurements that week. The installer came, measured all the windows, and researched my advice further on making the shutters work to my specifications for a tricky bedroom window, got answers to it and went with it. All my front windows have an eyebrow arch so blinds would not look attractive there. Steve was patient with all my questions and was thorough with answers (considering I had detailed questions). Both Kris and Steve said my shutters should be ready in 5 weeks. At my first appointment with Kris, he indicated they do blinds and roman shades as well. I'm tickled because that is exactly what I need. I'm working on trying to get Kris to the house on a Saturday to make my selections (no, they don't work on Saturday, but my work schedule does not permit me to do it on weekdays and I want my husband present. That's the only problem with not going with big box stores.) He was smart to have Steve measure all the windows this way Kris has all my measurements on file and can give me a quote on the rest of the house. I'm looking forward to meeting with Kris soon. I'll write more once I get the shutters installed and purchase treatment for the rest of the house.

WOW what a great job! The 12 feet tall window fits the wall and ceiling perfectly not an easy task as the window has an angle top and has to match the roof line exactly to fit. After this window the other window was easy. The workmanship is beautiful and they even used the same paint as our house painter so the shutters match the trim! On time delivery...professional installation...excellent customer service. If you are thinking of shutters, Sewell Shutters is the only way to go. Forget the big box stores!

Called Sewell and they came out to see what we wanted. They said it was not a problem and later sent us an estimate which we thought was a good price based on what we know others have paid for floor to ceiling shutters. Sewell came out for final measurements and gave us an approximate time for completion. We were repainting in the room and gave them the paint mixing stick we had used so they could match the color. Sewell brought the shutters and installed. The installation was quick. Everyone connected with Sewell was very professional, friendly, and easy to deal with. The shutters look great and we could not be happier with them. Would highly recommend Sewell Shutters.

Two shutters arrived and the measurements were wrong. But they escalated the delivery of the correctly sized windows.

I was very happy with their service. They came out at least twice to make sure the stain matched. They have since been out another time to make an adjustment on the shutters. They have been very responsive and the shutters look great. They were a little expensive but in line with others I checked out. Their service was just better.

Their service was wonderful. The shutters can open simultaneously when a lever is pulled. I watched as they worked, and as a woodworker, I could tell they knew exactly what they were doing. It was a very professional installation. They worked efficiently and got the work done quickly.

They did really good work. They showed up on time and the shutters fit perfectly. It’s kind of a smaller job and some companies wouldn’t be willing to do take it on, but they were willing.

Workmanship was excellent and they matched our window frames with exact paint. Install went very quickly, 3 hours. They were backlogged so it took 5 weeks from contract to install. We WILL use them again.

These guys are great, they came when they said they were going to and called even if they were only going to be ten minutes late. The shutters that they made matched the existing ones from an unknown source perfectly, and look great in the hallway. I had gotten several quotes and Sewell was very reasonable and the quality of the work was excellent. Everyone that I dealt with was very polite and knowledgeable; overall a great experience. I would definitely recommend them to anyone, and will use them again in the near future for additional work on the upstairs windows.

Sewell Shutters has done an absolutely fantastic job. Due to financial constraints I really pushed them to give me their best price and they came down a little bit. They were also willing to honor that price even though I was only doing one room at a time. The shutters look fantastic. One of the windows that was done, didnt come out exactly the way I wanted it and they were willing to come back out and re-do it at no additional charge. I will complete the rest of my house soon and any future homes that I have will have the cost of shutters from Sewell factored in.

I am very impressed with this company. They came out and measured then made the shutters and stained them to match the wood around my windows, then came out and installed them. The shutters are beautiful and look even better than I imagined. I had wood blinds on these windows before which did not match my wood trim and just never looked right, now my windows look elegant, the stain color is a great match and they fit like custom shutters should. Everyone from the company was professional and easy to work with

Their quote was $6,000. It was way higher than the other two quotes I got. They didn't gave me guidance at all. When he was having me chose all these different options, he wasn't providing any guidance for me or letting me know what was higher cost. I found another company that gave me guidance. I am new to this and I didn't know what I was doing and they do this every time so they should give me more guidance.

The bid was in line and it was about $8,000. He was very thorough and followed up extremely well. I am going to use him because the product is good, it is made in the area and it is natural wood. He has been doing it for a while. He seemed very knowledgeable. I looked online and I have not had anyone else out. But I have fit shutters in my house before. He was very professional and so I decided to go with them. A lot of companies don’t do the real wood; they do the PVC; I wanted real wood.

The company came out and measured, then custom made and installed them prior to Christmas, the busy season! They were all very courteous and professional. I highly recommend them to anyone considering the investment of custom shutters!

We keep using them because of the quality of their product. The shutters are made right here in Dallas, so it's a local company which I like supporting. Everyone that we have talked to or had in our home to do measurements or installation has been really very nice to work with. They're here when they say they're going to be here and do a great job.
