Workmanship was excellent and installers were friendly, efficient and professional. Two of the shutters were slightly bowed and they were repaired promptly and reinstalled without any hassle. Their cost was higher but the quality was much higher than that of another company which bid the work

I highly recommend Sewell shutters! I knew I was in good hands from the first moment I met Steve. He certainly knows exactly what he is doing! He helped me make difficult design decisions with regard to the shutter details and they look fabulous. They set the installation date the same time I placed the order and they stuck to it. They were here on time and did a beautiful installation in a timely manner. I would definitely hire them again!

Overall it was a good experience. All the people I dealt with were terrific. They did what they said they were going to do and at the time they promised. Excellent to work with. Would highly recommend. One suggestion though - Steve could benefit from some training on how to work with everyone and exhibit slightly less arrogance.

Our experience with Sewell Shutters was extremely easy and enjoyable. After having our home measured for shutters, they were completed in the exact amount of time promised. Their installers were very nice, personable and explained every step in the installation. Both after our order was completed and after the shutters were installed Doug Sewell, owner, gave us a call to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. We will be using Sewell Shutters again next year to complete the windows in the remaining rooms of our home.

OUTSTANDING !!!!! I can keep this short by saying you cannot go wrong with this company. I had them two years ago and was VERY impressed and just had them come a second time to do more rooms and again it was a perfect experience from A to Z. They are expensive but it was definitely worth it! Everyone I have interacted with has been very classy and professional. Steve is great at installation and is very meticulous!!

Our experience with Sewell Shutters was over the top. The entire staff, from the owner to the installation crew, was very professional. Truly a pleasure to work with. Their pricing is very competitive. The entire process, from our initial visit, which included a tour of the production facility, the price negotiations to the installation, was great. In our opinion, the quality of their product is equal to or better than anything on the market. Would definitely recommend this company to anyone in the market for plantation shutters that are made right here in America.

Everything went as planned. We bought a new home and it needed window coverings for all rooms. When we moved in we ordered plantation shutters for 12 windows. They showed up when scheduled and did what they said they would do. Very high quality of service and product. We were so pleased with the product and service that we ordered shutters for 11 more windows. If you want custom made plantation shutters, you won't find a better place to buy.

The shutters are beautiful. They matched my trim color to the shutters. Quickly installed. Then I had to have some slats replaced from my dog chewing them, they were able to replace the slats so I didn't have to replace the whole shutter.

We called Sewell Shutters back in December 2014 to get a quote on how much it would cost on putting in plantation shutters in 3 windows of our family room. The lady on the phone that took my call was very polite and set my appointment up with Steve for the following day. Steve Black arrived on time and got right to work taking the measurements. He was very friendly and very professional while in my home. He answered all my questions and concerns I had on how everything worked. He said if we were to go with them being that it was a few weeks before Christmas that they could not install them until sometime after the first of the year. He told me about the factory where the shutters were made and if we like we could come and take a tour of the factory to see actually how the shutters were made from start to finish. Before leaving he gave me a quote on how much the shutters would cost. After talking everything over with my husband that night we decided to go with them. I called the next day and placed my order. On 1/11/2015 I spoke with a lady on the phone about the status of the shutters. She told me our shutters were ready and I set an appointment for 1/12/2015 for them to come out and install the plantation shutters. My appointment time was for 11:00 but I received a call from Jeff one of the installers and he said that they would be out at 10:30 instead. When they arrived at our home, I greeted them at the door. They introduced themselves and came right in to start installing. There was another man with Jeff his name was Bryan. They were both very friendly and very professional. We love the price, quality, responsiveness, punctuality, and overall professionalism of the Sewell Shutter Company. We will definitely go with them again when we get ready put plantation shutters on the rest of the windows in our house. We will refer the Sewell Shutter Company to all our family and friends. Measured windows at new construction home once windows, sheetrock and window sills were in place. Called well in advance of installation date for information enabling exact paint match with builder's color and gloss. Called to confirm installation date and time. Moved in on a Saturday, and Sewell professionals arrived on-time the following Monday to install, minimizing time spent with uncovered windows. Installers were efficient and polite. Fit, function and finish were as good as or better than experience with shutters in previous home.

It was a really complicated project, and they did a great job. They were a lower price than another bid that we got. The interaction with them was fine, and the shutters are good.

Sewell Shutters did a fantastic job. From measuring and suggestions to the actual fitting the staff were fantastic. The blinds look great. We will definitely use them again and recommend to anyone. Great Job!!!!

A very courteous Sewell Shutter gentleman called and made an appointment to come over to the house to measure the windows for the shutters. A couple weeks later, the shutters were made and I received a call to set an appointment to come and install the shutters. Two installers showed up and quickly installed the shutters. They were very quick and they cleaned up the area better then when they found it. We love the shutters. They are very functional and easy to use. They block 99.9% of the light out. They are very decorative. I highly recommend them to anyone and we will continue to use them in the future.

The whole process was very easy. First, Chris came out for preliminary measurements, suggestions on what best fits our windows, and the estimate. It has taken my husband and I one year to finally decide on shutters, why you ask? Because he couldn't picture what they were going to look like on some our odd shaped moldings (there wasn't enough room for an inside mount). His questions and concerns were relieved because we went to the warehouse to see where our shutters were going to be made. Next came the exact measurements which took about half and hour and to review/confirm our choices (types of hinges, size of shutters...) and we set up an installation date (about 5-6 weeks out). Today Jeff and Brian came out for the install. I received a call that they were on their way and when they arrived, the work was done efficiently and neatly. It was a stress free experience and the shutters look fantastic!

They were punctual and professional. We are quite pleased with the appearance and the attention to detail. This is a quality company with a quality product and quality people.

We recently bought this home and our family room looked a little shabby. Most of the windows in the house had plantation shutters except for these areas. We were concerned because the windows in the family room are very large. They are floor to ceiling and there is a door to the patio. Our initial call was answered promptly. Their representative came to our home he brought samples and explained the process. He measured and told us the approximate installation date. He took a slat from our kitchen shutters to match the paint exactly. The Sewell team came and the install was completed in a timely and highly professional manner. They did a great job. They remembered to bring the kitchen slat they used for a paint sample and replaced it. We can not believe the difference the shutters make. They look beautiful, the transformation is incredible. This was the easiest home improvement project we have ever done. We found Sewell on Angie's list and we are so glad we went with them.
