The Scott Roofing crew was great. I used them before for two smaller jobs (patching a hole that raccoons created, and replaced a broken skylight) and was pleased so I thought I would ask them to replace our entire roof. The work started shortly after I signed the contract. The crew showed up promptly both days, and worked quickly and efficiently. They did a great job cleaning up. A week later and I still haven't found any errant nails in the yard. The carpentry work was completed two days later. Their attention to detail was great (the satellite dish was even aimed back for perfect reception when they were done). I hope I don't have to replace the roof again while we're in this house, but I would certainly call Patrick at Scott Roofing if I ever need to.

It didn't go. The arrogance and rudeness of the sales rep made it a non-starter.

I found Scott's Roofing on Angie's List and noticed it was based in my old neighborhood of North Dallas. The call to get an estimate was the beginning of a wonderful experience. Jordan Wassel was the main reason that this major repair to my home was so painless, I fully expected major stress dealing with the roofing situation, but the stress never manifested itself, thanks to God. I always get several estimates before investing significant money for any job, but Jordan's knowledge of the business and his ability to help me understand how the process works when dealing with insurance companies convinced me there was no need to go anywhere else for this job. I felt complete trust in him and in the company for which he works. He set up an inspection date quickly, came to do an inspection and then I contacted my insurance company to file a claim. Jordan worked closely with me to arrange the insurance inspection so that he could be present to ensure the insurance adjuster did not overlook anything. It was obvious that my insurance adjuster felt the same level of confidence in Jordan, of which I was very surprised considering the expense involved in the decision to replace versus repair. The insurance company agreed to replace the roof and Jordan provided on a quote so we could begin the job. Jordan was always in contact with me throughout the process, was accessible and returned my calls promptly. To net it out, he treated me in a manner that he himself would want to be treated. All the activities happened like clockwork, just as he had committed. I have told anyone/everyone who gives me the opportunity that your company is the ONE I would recommend for roofing and any other service you offer. God bless you, I wish you many generations of future service in our DFW community.

Neighbor's tree branch fell and cracked our skylight over the weekend. I called first thing Monday morning to get an estimate to replace. Patrick the estimator was able to come out the same afternoon to measure and provide an estimate. His estimated cost for both time and materials ($200 to replace our 24"x24" skylight bubble and frame) was about half what I was expecting. He said the bubbles are fabricated custom here in town and typically take 5 days to make. We had the hole taped with plastic and tape, but rain was in the forecast for the end of the week. He said he'd ask for a rush. I was pleasantly surprised to get a call from Patrick Wednesday morning (just two days later) saying the part was ready and it would be installed the same day. The crew came out, removed the broken one and the materials I used for the temporary patch, installed the new one, and left no mess behind. I couldn't be more pleased.

Smooth, Jordan stopped by, looked at where our leaks were occurring and provided an estimate. Scheduling was convenient, I did not need to be there, and the final bill matched the estimate.

Our experience with them was excellent. They came out and did everything that they said they were going to do. They were very punctual and the price was great. I would rate them highly and would use them in the future, if necessary.

The estimator looked at my roof and decided the leaks were coming from the upper roof around my chimney which he said the original roofers had done incorrectly. It was repaired efficiently, but the majority of the leaks continued. I later figured out it was coming from a lower roof line and stopped them myself with caulk in the corner of the flashing. I don't fault the estimator for this error. My only concern was that the cost was a bit high--it only took about 3 hours for the repair.

The sales rep, Jordan Wassel, was our liaison, and told us exactly what to expect, from starting date to looking over everything with us at the end of the job.

Because the shingles were Class IV, we waited a week while they were ordered. Bruce kept in contact with me almost daily to make sure we knew what was going on. The roofing date was modified due to rain (which we appreciated). The final date of the roofing was bitterly cold and yet the crew showed up and worked hard. Roofing was completed on day 2 and a the area was cleaned up completely. A 'walk through' the next day by the boss gave us additional info and allowed us to share any concerns (there were none). Very experienced crew. Excellent communication.

They had done a good job. I don't have any complaints about them.

I scheduled an appointment with Greg, but through some timing mixup - he did not arrive at the scheduled time. I called the office 2 hours after the appointment was due, and he called back within 20 minutes. He rescheduled and promised to come back another day. I explained what I thought was wrong, and based on the description we thought it would be between $100-400, depending if shingles or sheathing had to be replaced - or if it just needed to be re-sealed. Greg told me that if it was just a seal job - he would fix it for FREE for my inconvenience! Sure enough, on his return visit, it turned out that all we needed was for the seals to be fixed and there was no charge! I have no leaks, and I will certainly recommend SCOTT ROOFING as a company who provide HONEST, if not always timely, service. They will go out of their way to make it right. In my case, they made me happy, and I have already recommended the company to three of my neighbors, and I hope they will call for estimates on their properties. Way to go Greg!

Terrific experience. Joe came out and the work was done quickly and professionally. I had another roofer (a drive by roofer) tell me the roof needed to be totally replaced ($11,000). Got on Angies list and chose Scott roofing to give me another bid. Nothing much wrong that $400 wouldn't take care of. Did not even turn it into my insurance. I'm a Realtor and will definitely recommend Scott Roofing to my clients.

Very thorough and professional. Visit to inspect the job and provide estimates was prompt. Rainy season made scheduling a challenge but Scott kept at it and got a crew over as quick as possible, and they did the work and cleaned up thoroughly.

It went well. The negatives first: 1. There was some discomfort that the representative was setting prices on the fly. For example, when we were initially discussing what may need to be repaired the representative thought it was the pipes leaking, then the valley, then the pipes and valley. Honestly, there was no way to tell, but what made us somewhat uncomfortable was that when the rep switched from thinking the problem was the pipes to thinking it was the valley he told me that they would seal the pipes at no extra charge. But once it came down to really pricing out the job the pipes were adding substantially to the price. We went ahead with that because I believed it could be the pipes or the valley (or both) and in spite of what the rep had said about throwing in the pipes at no extra charge I felt it was reasonable to expect to pay for that work. Still, the discrepancy between what was said to try to sell the job and what was actually in the proposal was never discussed by either party and I was left wondering what happened to the idea of throwing in sealing the pipes at no charge. 2. A gate was left open. 3. The time to complete the work was moved up without notice resulting in me not having time to schedule to be at home when the work was done. This is actually a plus and a minus. See #3 below. The positive: 1. I wanted to add more detail to the proposal and had no problem negotiating changes. 2. We have had quite a bit of rain since the work was done and it does seem like the repairs were done well. 3. They came out even faster than estimated and completed the work well within the time frame stated in the proposal. 4. I can't tell if they replaced any shingles, but if they did the color matching was extremely good. 5. Payment was after completion of the work. All in all I am happy with them and would use them again. The only advice I would give them is to be more careful on what is said about pricing before knowing the full picture. I don't mind paying for work done, but the representative had clearly told me, prior to drawing up the proposal, that if I contracted to have the valley work done the pipe sealing would be done without extra charge. Don't say something during the pre-sale that you don't intend to include in the final proposal.

The estimator, Patrick Pearson called the next day and made an appointment for that day. He showed up on time and was very professional as to informing me of the possible solutions and their costs. Patrick could have tried to sell me on some solution that might not have made much sense, but instead, he was honest and forthright on his opinions and suggestions. I chose not to do anything now because of the cost, but I would readily recommend Scott Roofing to anyone. Honesty and integrity go a long way nowadays!

I got estimates from a number of businesses and Scott Roofing gave me a good price. I chose them based on price and the quality of the windows that they were selling. They got the windows in pretty quickly, but we had to wait a couple of weeks for a sliding glass door. They disposed of our old windows and I am very satisfied with their work.

It went good. They were prompt and did a good job. I have tried to get them to come back out and I unfortunately cannot get them to return my calls.

Everything went very professionally. We called and received an estimate immediately. We had several estimates, but Scott's Roofing was higher than our lowest estimate. We called Scott's and asked them if they would match the lowest bid and they did! The had to remove wood shingles before they put on the asphalt roof. They completed the job in one day, cleaned up all nails and debris. We called the next day because we wanted documents for the radiant barrier materials to submit for tax purposes. They got the information to us immediately. We had one piece of siding that needed to be re-affixed and when we called, they immediately sent someone out. We would HIGHLY recommend this company to anyone wanting a professional job done, on time, on budget.

They responded to my phone call promptly and scheduled an estimate promptly then came out the next day to do the repairs and completed them the same day. They arrived on time for the estimate and the men they sent arrived on time for the repairs. My only two complaints did not involve the roof. One of the men left our side gate open when they left and our puppy almost got out and the men parked their truck in our driveway directly behind where our cars are parked instead of out front in the street where the workers always park. As a result, I backed out of the garage and directly into the truck causing extensive damage to my car and their truck...all of which could have been prevented had they been courteous enough to park in the street where they belonged. The owners were quite apologetic, but nonetheless, it has added several thousand dollars in expenses to what would otherwise have been a reasonable job...not the fault of the owners but rather of the employees who did not seem to understand that they had done anything wrong. They were very nice and did a great job on the roof...we would indeed recommend them and use them again ourselves...but we would be certain to make certain they were told in advance to keep the gates closed (something most workmen seem to do without being told!) and we would be sure they would not park in our driveway again (also something our other workers have never needed to be told).

He responded to our call within a day. I thought there was a problem when his crew was working on the roof. The owner of the company came out the next day and saw what his work man had done. There was indeed a problem and he got it fixed the same day. They were really nice.

Scott Roofing was prompt to respond to my email request for an estimate. They also quickly emailed me the estimate and then completed the work the day after I returned the estimate. Great service.

Scott Roofing did a great job at the price quoted. I know the repair was a success since we had serious storms and rain the next week! No leaks. Would recommend and use again.

I called Scott Roofing for a quote a few months ago, along with several other highly rated companies on AL. The staff in the office were very polite and professional over the phone. Scott Roofing was the only one of the three roofing companies I called who came out to inspect the roof exactly when they said they would (within a couple of days of my call), and "Chief" sent a detailed bid by email outlining different options, with the pros and cons of each. I ended up putting off the repair due to travel, and when I called them again last week, they came and made a second inspection right away, sent a revised bid (a bit higher due to additional rain damage during my procrastination), and came back to perform the job very soon after I sent them a signed contract. The new roofing looks great and matches the adjacent garage roof perfectly. They left the area around the garage so tidy that I didn't even realize they had come by until I saw the invoice. After a recent rainstorm with strong winds, I can say that the new roof is perfectly sound. A terrific job, and a pleasant experience. They could not have made it any easier.

A section of the soffit and fascia on my back patio showed signs of water damage. After inspection Scott's discovered that the problem was caused by three plumbing jacks on the roof that had deteriorated and was allowing water into this section of the roof. The repairs were made within a few days of initial inspection.

Jordan came out to inspect and determine what needed to be repaired. He showed me digital pictures of the problem areas and was very good in explaining what needed to be done. That was followed up by an email with job cost, which I signed and sent back. A couple of days later his team came to do the repairs. This company has a good reputation, so I assume the job was done well and thoroughly, but cannot get up on the roof to verify.
