I purchased two Sanijet spa tubs from Sanijet's Hydrohealth company and paid in full, approximately six thousand dollars. There is no Sanijet showroom or dealer in or near my home location so I sent Sanijet measurements and photographs of the old bathroom bathtubs. I wanted to be sure Sanijet would see where the tub was located in the bathroom in reference to the other bathroom components so a new walk-in tub door would not be blocked by the toilet. I also specifically included location of the shower head and tub spout so I would not need to have plumbers re-route pipes. Unfortunately, Sanijet sent us a walk in tub with water outlet holes in the tub on the wrong side. Consequently, plumbers charged an unexpected, additional $1,800 dollars after they worked all day to add pipes in the crawl space that would now fit the opposite side. My contractor and plumbers attempted to explain how wrong this was to the Sanijet vendor by teleconference. The vender sounded sympathetic, as though he understood and asked that I send copies of my bill to verify I incurred huge and unexpected plumbing costs. I faxed the invoices and waited several weeks with no word. When I asked about the delay, the vendor said the boss was out of the office and we had to wait for his decision on reimbursement. Then much time transpired, I left several messages without response. I finally got the impression Sanijet was waiting for me to go away. Sensing defeat, I then wrote the vendor asking that Sanijet consider making a donation to their local food bank instead of reimbursing me for their mistake. I hoped that would make compensation more palatable to their interests and alleviate my distress by helping others, via my loss. But still no word to this day, almost a year later, so I am not pleased with Sanijet's customer service. Furthermore, the walk-in tub, of which installation timing was critical for a handicapped family member visiting for an impending family reunion, was delayed due to the walk in tub being badly damaged upon arrival. When we removed all the dense protective padding from the tub package, the contractor, plumbers and I found a deeply abraded tub spout, a cracked shower head, a cracked bottom panel, and paint scraped off the door hinge. I e-mailed photographs to Sanijet of all the damages. Waiting for mailed replacements of the damaged parts and fixing these items required time away from work and tolled highway travel of four hours to obtain parts. All that should not happen to a good customer. To make matters worse, at another cost of almost three hundred dollars, I did not receive all parts of jets that propel water, after being offered a free set of replacement jets to facilitate quicker cleaning, in between tub use, IF I bought a set for the first tub. So I made the purchase believing it was a good deal, but I received only thin plastic jet covers, not the complete units, for the walk-in tub, a surprise, which our family said appeared to be a "bait and switch" sales technique. Had I known I would experience this degree and extent of poor treatment I would not have proceeded. Although salesmen with whom I interacted were always pleasant, polite, very skillful keeping you at bay, I would ask potential customers to be wary of how you will be ultimately treated after you make a purchase. After the product was delivered and installed, the company offered no compensation or apologies.
Description of Work: The 10,000 includes all of the plumbing that was not expected. I spent 6,000 on the tubs and an unexpected 2,000 in plumbing.

I started researching my bathroom remodel about 6 months ago, and discovered a new way to remodel a small bathroom. I really wanted a new experience, but the jetted tubs were large, clumsy, and didn't fit my small space (basically a 5 ft X 5 ft bathroom). Also, I discovered during my research that the tubes that supplied the water to the jets became filled with dirty water that was a perfect place to harbor bacteria, viruses, and who knows what else! The Sanijet tub doesn't use tubes to supply water to the jets. I can even clean the jets in the dishwasher if I choose, but with just a twist from inside the tub, I can eject the parts and spray them with a cleaner of my choice. Yes, it's a pricey tub, but totally hygienic. Even if you have a small bathroom, you can get a spa bathtub that is now being used in super 4 and 5 star rated hotels and spas because of the hygienic value. Just imagine what kind of tub someone could put in with a larger space! Sanijet tubs are manufactured in NC, but I was able to visit a showroom here in Dallas on Maple Ave. What a great experience it is to see the tubs and visit with the experienced Sanijet people that really took the time to explain everything (thanks to Becky and Herb – we were advised to set an appointment for our visit). Because the tubs are custom, it did take 4 weeks for completion. The shipping was free from NC because of an online promotion. Sanijet calmed all my fears about ordering, shipping, delivery, and even advised us of a great contractor for installation (I'll submit my contractor's report soon – James was great!) I have pictures of the installation if anyone is interested.
