He showed up on time for the appointment we set, explained how he would grind it up, and did a good job in leaving the area clean. I was pleased with everything about the experience.
Description of Work: I had a stump in my backyard that needed to be removed.

When my son discovered the size of the root, we started calling tree services. Most of the ones on Angie's List do not do this work (you really need a separate category for this), and most couldn't recommend anyone either. I did call three that I left messages with. They either did not return my call, or we were not able to wait until they had time to come. I found Sam's Stump Removal in the Yellow Pages. It took a couple of tries before he could make it out (one of his machine's went out), but he did agree to come on a Saturday, and when he came, he did a careful and thorough job for a reasonable sum.
Description of Work: My son discovered a large (6-8" diameter and approx 4' long) tree root that surfaced in front flowerbed 3 yrs after former tree was cut down and stump ground. Since it was so large, digging it out was not an option. Also there were plantings all around it. John Velis of Sam's Stump Removal gave a free estimate of $50 (his minimum), then ground it up and advised me on the cause. Because of extra care needed, work took approx. one hour.
