The ladies did an excellent job, they went beyond my expectations, and even cleaned out the large, empty boxes in the outdoor patio cupboard. I told them that there was only one rule - trash anything you find on the floor. But I had left some paintings and several glasses behind by mistake. They took care to put those items aside carefully and when I drove by in the evening, I was very glad to see that the glasses were very carefully put aside. The ladies were very courteous and Raquel was available constantly by phone. I think they had to work very hard to finish the task in 2 hours, and it saved me a HUGE effort if I was to clean the place myself. I had guests coming over in the Thanksgiving week, and I couldn't afford to spend time cleaning. I would definitely recommend them to all my friends!!

The house cleaning work they did was excellent. They were very thorough. The problem was that we had trouble creating a workable schedule. They needed someone to be home to let them in in the middle of work days when we can't be there. They tried to squeeze us in between other clients, but didn't have openings in their schedule to give us our own regular time slot. One of my first criterion when calling was that we need someone we can count on, but we were having to negotiate a schedule every time. I decided to get a different company. Also we have dogs, and they seemed to be afraid of them. Now that it is getting colder we can't leave our dogs outside so we have to have a company that will work with dogs in the house.

The cleaning team was amazing and my house looked amazing. They were professional and easy to work with. I would recommend them and use them for regular cleaning service.

The team worked consistently for the whole time they were here - at one point I stepped into the hall and one team member was wiping down the baseboards! They were even reasonably quiet. I will definitely ask them to come back, if they'll have me... (It was a lot of work!)

Raquel's cleaned our 1800 sq ft home every two weeks for about a year. During that time she supervised a two person team with an occasional swap out of personnel. The workers were generally non English speaking so communications could be difficult. Generally the housecleaning is perhaps better than or about what one would expect from such a service.Reasonably professional and thorough, but don't expect any housecleaning service to do it as well as you would do it yourself. Raquel is wonderful, very courteous and professional. However, we had one problem that we couldn't get past. We have a dog who the housecleaners simply couldn't adapt to. He would bark when they came to the door and even after months they were afraid to come in, give him a treat, or even attempt to make friends with him. Both Raquel and her brother came out and tried to show the workers how to respond to a dog, give him treats, etc. They warmed up to our dog immediately (and he to them) and she agreed that he is sweet and should be no problem. But she explained that her workers generally live in apartments, have no experience with dogs and are simply afraid of them. After the problem couldn't be resolved, Raquel eventually asked that we find another service, which we did, and the other service immediately made friends with our dog and we have had no problem in that regard since. We can recommend Raquel's service, but only for homes without dogs who are going to require that the housecleaners make friends.

Two Ladies arrived on time. I was told beforehand what their cost per hour would be, but we had no idea how long they would be here. They arrived at 9:00 am and left at 5:00 pm. I had NO IDEA they would be here that long. I guess my biggest complaint would be that I couldn't communicate with the women because they didn't speak or understand English. They worked extremely hard and were very thorough. My family and I wanted to stay out of their way so we went outside to the deck but 4 hours became 5 hours became 6, 7, and 8 hours. My husband was a bit "put-out" by the whole deal and the amount of time it took. I would have stopped them about 6 hours in but they wisely left the kitchen until very last and it was the kitchen I wanted cleaned the most! I made the check out to Raquel's Cleaning Service, it was hard enough to write a check for $400 but then the lady came back in the house and asked me if I could make the check out to her. This bothered me quite a bit. I actually felt compelled to call Raquel and ask her if this was okay. She seemed a bit surprised by my call. She told me it was okay to make the check out to the cleaner out I don't think she was pleased about that. Overall their work was amazing. I wish communication was better. They probably understood English better than they let on.

Raquel is WONDERFUL to deal with. She is thorough, responsive, and so much fun to just talk to. I called her on short notice for a complete house cleaning (had Hurricane Gustav evacuee coming to stay with me). She found me a time slot on the day I required. She sent two fantastic employees to my home. They arrived exactly on time and brought all their supplies. They started cleaning and cleaned room by room. They moved furniture that could be moved, cleaned under and around that which could not be moved. The house literally sparkled when they were done. I would NEVER use anyone but Raquel's for cleaning my house from now on. I cannot express just how great they are to work with. I did not have to watch over them ... they asked what needed to be done and then did it exactly as I asked. They did not miss anything like other cleaning services I have used in the past. They are just the best I have ever used in over 40 years of using cleaning services in four cities.

Excellent experience! A team of two led by Esther V. they arrived right on time and hit the door running so to speak. After many years using a nationwide maid service I didn't realize how little was being cleaned. Well, as earlier testimonials have explained Raquel may not be the cheapest but she and her staff are the most thorough! They move furniture, take down draperies, etc. to get to the dirt. In the bedrooms, living spaces, bathrooms, etc. I am having them complete this phase of the cleaning in two stages. 5 hours weren't enough on their first visit.

They cleaned everything pretty well. It had been a while since everything was deep cleaned and they did a good job for us while they were here. The price was reasonable for the amount of work that they did.

Raquel's service was fantastic! They came in and made our just purchased house clean and sanitized. Thank you so much Raquel for helping us out!

I had some remodeling done -- new hardwoods, new light fixture installation, major carpentry work done and the house was a complete mess. Dust was everywhere, and all of my furniture, carpets, etc. were dusty and full of bug residue from the garage. They were on time, very professional and VERY thorough. I only gave a "B" for the price rating because they are not close to the cheapest I have ever seen, however their quality is top-notch! I have used them since and will continue to use them for the heavy duty cleaning.

I really liked this company. They were very responsive. They did what they said they were going to do. They got the job done quickly and efficiently. They were also friendly and easy to talk to.

She was very accommodating; I had to reschedule a couple of times and she was ok with it. The work she does is good and the house looks good when she gets done.

They did a fabulous job. They were here on time. There were three women that worked non-stop for four hours.

This is by far the best cleaning company I have ever used. Maria and her team attend to every detail and leave my home spotless every time. I have several special cleaners they use on my floors and stone surfaces, and every request I have is honored. A great service company.

Raquel's Cleaning service sent two employees out for my first initial cleaning. I was blown away by the great job they did cleaning my house!! I've had other cleaning companies in the past and not one of them compares to this one. We even had some left over ashes in our fire place from the beginning of the year and they even cleaned that out! Outstanding work !!

It has been very good. They are on time and they are always professional. They have two workers that come and do the work and they are very good. They were done in about three and a half hours.

It went great. Raquel is a stitch on the phone (beware, she LOVES to talk!) She will call you with follow up to be sure you're happy. They call the day before they're due to remind you they're coming.

We were very very impressed with the job that they did. It was just the initial cleaning, but it was great, they cleaned things that they we never thought that they'd clean. We're definitely bringing them back.

They do an excellent job. Very trustworthy. I have no problems with not being there when they are there working. They come with three people to the crew. They do their work and leave. I have recommended them to several people.

They bring their own supplies. They are very receptive. They have an after hours lines for emergencies. They are completely trustworthy and respectful about being our house. They are good about calling if they will be late or if they have to reschedule.

Overall, it has gone well. For the first cleaning, I had them come on a Saturday while I was home from work. My home had not been professionally cleaned in some time, so it needed a little extra work the first time. The staff was courteous and polite. The subsequent cleanings have gone well.

Racquel sent a crew out on a Saturday since I needed the work done while the house was empty and before the moving van arrived. They cleaned everything, dusting the walls, ceilings, light fixtures, cabinets, windows/window sills, blinds, brick walls - everything. The house has three bathrooms and a lot of pantry/storage space and they didn't miss an inch. Everything was sparkling by the time they left, and all of the carpet strings left from installing the new carpet was gone. The house looked great.

We were unhappy with our previous cleaning company (and many before that) for lack of attention to detail (they forgot to mop the kitchen once!!!). We joined Angie's List specifically to find a company to use since we had gone through so many. It took a few days to hear back from Raquel and a couple of weeks to schedule a time for them to come out. Apparently, we are the very outer limits of their service area, and they, quite reasonably, wanted to have our service done on the same day as another in our area. They had to cancel the first scheduled time due to a car accident. However, we were notified a couple of days ahead of time of the problem. Again, it took a little to get rescheduled, but it was worth the wait. We had had so much bad luck and was hoping for better based on the reviews we had read. We weren't disappointed. I would say that the first, which is the most thorough cleaning, didn't get everything but was so much better than we had experience recently. Other companies had done initial cleanings that were very good but the follow through service progressively fell to lower and lower levels. Most companies who did "initial" cleanings charged us $500 and spent a half day here with about 3-5 people. Raquel told us that her charge was $25 per hour per cleaner. This initially concerned me, but when I considered what I had paid for in the past with the number of hours and cleaners, I thought it sounded okay. When they came, there were only 2 workers and they worked 5 hours. So, we got an initial cleaning at a much more reasonable rate and the job was well done. They have been back once since for $175 for the 2 to clean a few hours. This charge is higher than we had before but the level of work was much better than we had been getting. My daughter has multiple small toys and sets that line the walls of her room and another room. They moved these and vacuumed behind and under them to really clean up. They also straightened and vacuumed her closet. I could tell they really cleaned the showers wall (last company still had soap scum on showers after they had come). I am not easy to please, but I believe that I will be happy with this company if they continue this level of service even if we have to pay more. FYI, our home is about 3400 square feet with 3 baths and 4 bedrooms and 3 living areas.

I am very impressed with my first experience with Raquel's Cleaning Service. I called on Monday and was scheduled for a cleaning on Wednesday. Raquel's crew arrived and left no stone unturned while cleaning. The total cleaning time was about 3 hours. They moved most of the furniture, took all of the cushions off of furniture and vacuumed it, left all my bathrooms and kitchens sparkling. They didn't dust around things, they actually cleared surfaces and cleaned. They did a very good job.
