Raquel's Cleaning Service Inc

I did tell Raquel that I needed someone that could speak English, and she sent two ladies, with one of them speaking limited English (enough that we could communicate). They always worked in the same rooms together talking a lot, so I felt that it took longer than it has in the past, but they did a fairly good job. My only disappointment was the oven cleaning. I had sprayed it down good with Easy Off and asked them to clean it out good. I did ask them before they left if they had cleaned the oven good and they said yes. When I turned my oven on the next week to cook, there was extensive smoke and I had to turn it off, let it cool, and then clean it out before I could do my cooking. Everything else was good and the house looked very nice, and I appreciated Raquel providing the service on a Saturday before the holidays.

They always do an excellent job with no fuss or bother. If I need something special I just Raquel and it is completed.

The company refused to give an estimate over the phone even when I provided square footage so I didn't know what I was in for. They said they would send a crew of 2 but sent a crew of 3. Of the 3 women they sent, 2 did not speak English and 1 spoke only limited English. They weren't able to understand my instructions so they did things I asked them not to do and kept leaving the door to my garage ajar which annoyed me because I did not want my cats getting in there. I thought for the task at hand they took too long and charged too much, even for an initial deep clean. The quality of the job is only fair and I thought the cost was excessive for the quality of the work. They estimated between $115 and $125 for maintenance cleaning of the same areas and I know people who have the same approximate square footage cleaned regularly for $85-$100. Following the cleaning I have discovered that the crew left a sticky residue behind on all of the woodwork that they "cleaned" so I will have to go back over it myself. It will take hours; there is a lot of woodwork in the house. It is as if they cleaned it with soap or a dirty rag and did not rinse it. The sticky residue was not there prior to their visit. I have also found lots of spots and stains that a simple swipe with a wet rag would remove in areas that they supposedly "cleaned" but they clearly missed them. I chose this company randomly based on its rating on Angie's List. I rated them low on price and responsiveness due to the company's refusal to give an estimate, the final cost which I felt was too high, and the fact that they spoke little to no English. I would absolutely NOT use them again. I was contacted by the owner of this company after the initial review on Angie's List and she sent her son to re-do the areas I was not satisfied with. All he did was make excuses for the previous crew, give me attitude, and tell me that he "wasn't sure" he'd be able to get the scummy soap residue off my woodwork, all while shrugging and acting defensive. I asked him to please leave my home. I will be requesting a partial refund from the owner of this company. The level of service and the quality of the work is absolutely unacceptable especially given the company's mealy-mouthed efforts to put it right. Unbelievable. I can't believe all the positive ratings this company has received and frankly I am shocked that my experience has been so terrible. It's like I'm not dealing with the same people.

The team was very polite and worked hard - did things I didn't expect. The two women didn't speak English (or not much), but Pablo translated as necessary. Very polite and friendly and understanding. My only reservation was that they finished about 15 minutes before the 4 hours were up and started loading the car. I probably would've given them a tip if they hadn't done that, so I just called it even. (That's why a "B" on price.) This wasn't "officially" Raquel's, but is the same team, so I wanted to weigh in. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

This was my second time to use Raquel's Cleaning Service and I just wanted to reaffirm that that do a great job. They arrived on time, got right to work, and did a VERY thorough deep down cleaning. My husband commented that he was surprised and impressed that they even dusted his computer! Raquel is very easy to work with and was immediately available by phone when I wanted to add something to my job request.

As always Raquel's team provides great service and always leaves my house sparkling. Team of 3 worked diligently ridding my house of dust bunnies, spider webs, etc. Even my couches were vacuumed of pet hair and general dust!

The team arrived on time and ready to work--down to business, immediately. They did not waste any time which was good because they charged by the hour--my final bill was smaller than I anticipated because of this. Everything I asked them to do they did thoroughly and I was very pleased at how things sparkled. This included me asking them to take things out of my kitchen cabinets and wipe down the insides of them. Raquel was very friendly on the phone and it was easy to set up the appointment. I just scheduled my second cleaning and look forward to another good experience.

My initial call to Raquel was great - she was very pleasant and professional and gave me a quote right over the phone. The cleaning personnel came for the first time the following week and did a fantastic job; we're going to have them come every two weeks, and I'm already looking forward to their next visit. The house looked and smelled clean, and they went above and beyond - doing little extras that I didn't even have to ask for like cleaning the oven, taking out all the trash, and 'primping' the kleenex like you'd see in a fancy hotel. And, the price is very reasonable, and I was charged exactly what I was quoted.

The bathrooms and the kitchen were the important part and they did really well on that. They did a wonderful job on windows, mirrors, fans, the kitchen, etc. They actually took the decorative bulbs off the lights in the kitchen by hand. It was two women and a man. For the women, if they spoke any English they didn't speak it to me. I walked into the back and they didn't know I was coming and they were going really, really slowly. I won't have them back.

Just before we put our house on the market, two of the best housecleaning ladies had our home sparkling and completely fresh. They even vacuumed our sofas! For weeks the house maintained its fresh scent and all I had to do was lightly dust. It was awesome! Not to mention, Raquel is so sweet and very accommodating. We had to change our dates a couple times and she was very understanding and excited for us to show the house in its best light for prospective buyers. No wonder they're getting straight A's. I only hope they'll travel to our new home. Highly recommend Raquel's.

Raquels' "spring clean team" arrived on time, introduced themselves, were the utmost professionals. We walked the house to discuss the problems and what I thought I needed for the day and the team immedately got to work. The unbelievable part - they were able to clean a shower I didnt think anyone or any product could clean - it was amazing!! In the 2.5 hours they were here they cleaned my 3400 sq ft home and windows - everything was bright and shiny - amazing. I clean my own house on a regular basis but will always call Raquels when I need a deep clean or have guests.

She was going to charge a minimum of $100.00. She returned my call and called back to check and see if I had thought about her service. All interactions with her were just fine.

It took about 3 phone calls to get something booked. The owner wasn't available the first time, then she called me and I wasn't available. Then I called and didn't get a return call for a couple of days, so I called back and finally got something booked. The owner called to confirm the time the day before, which was great. Team was very professional and friendly. They arrived about 10 minutes late, but I still consider that punctual. Overall, they did a pretty good job. Our house wasn't that dirty, but we did have a few problem areas like a shower with a lot of mildew. They really worked on that and got a TON of it out. They spent a long time with the bathrooms and I was very pleased with that. They wiped down the washer and dryer, which was nice. They didn't really go underneath most of the furniture to mop, sweep, etc. Although they cleaned inside the oven, they didn't clean inside the fridge or freezer and the handles of both were still dirty. They did a wonderful job on the rest of the house and it did look great. While the price of the deep clean was VERY reasonable, the price of ongoing cleaning was not. I have yet to call to negotiate that price and will try to do so as I've had ongoing services at about 60% of what they quoted me plus they did other services like laundry.

I am extremely pleased with the attention to detail in which they cleaned. At first, we walked through the house and got clear on what was expected. They went beyond my expectations. They listened and followed through with what I asked for, and when they had questions, they asked them and did not assume.

Overall I thought that they did a really good job and were very thorough but was very disappointed the next day to try and run my garbage disposal and find that they had put a penny and a safety pin that were in the kitchen on the spice rack in the disposal! I had to take my garbage disposal apart. Needless to say, I won't use again.

They were wonderful - they did an excellent job and when they left you could tell that it had been cleaned. Very happy with their service.

I hired Raquel's service for a make ready to my home after weeks of renovations. Raquel called a couple of times to confirm the date/time as we scheduled a week or so in advance. The house was a huge mess. Pablo and a woman (don't know her name) arrived on time. Pablo walked through the house and I was very impressed that he asked questions that I had intended to tell him (i.e. what needed extra care because of new installation, etc.). He was extremely friendly and ready to get to work. He called me about 30 minutes prior to being finished so that I could leave work and inspect. I was blown away with the results! The house actually looked like a home. First, I opened the door and Pablo had placed a small cleaning towel on the floor so I wouldn't track in dirt! He then walked me through the house, pointed out where he placed items that had been left on the counters. When he told me the price I almost fainted. $275.00 for 2 people, almost 6 hours each. I couldn't believe the value. I am definitely considering using Raquel's for my housekeeping needs. Thanks Raquel (and Pablo!)

I thought the service was very good. They did a good job, you could count on them being there, and they didn't steal anything. I decided to use a service provider that does more services than what Raquel offers. Sometimes they came a little later/earlier than expected.

We hired this company to deep clean our entire house and they exceeded our expectations. They arrived promptly and were very friendly and professional. The cleaning crew did a tremendous job cleaning our house and they were very reasonably priced. We highly recommend them and we will use them for our future cleaning needs.

Over the years and in many cities I have had help to clean my house and Raquel's is the best I have ever had. They have never ever broken anything (a previous cleaning lady broke a glass coffee table - still not sure how) they leave the place spotless (I have three small grandchildren who visit often) and I don't know what I would do without them! I just wanted to do an update on my initial rating to say the good work continues!

Raquel herself came to my house with her team, asked questions, looked around, took directions and got to work. A fantastic job.

They were punctual and did an excellent job. They cleaned my windows, floors and refrigerator, removed the cat hair from the couch. They also cleaned my ceiling fans and other areas that I didn't even think about. I was very pleased and will use them again. A specific mention: one of the cleaners was very good with my cat, who can be a bit skittish. My cat warmed up to him immediately.

The price was reasonable. They were prompt, friendly, and they did a good job.

AMAZING!!! My house has never been this clean! They did things that I wasn't even expecting...like cleaning frozen soup that my husband had spilled in our freezer. They also cleaned my drip pans on my gas stove that is 30+ years old!! I have been soaking them in WD-40 and using every cleaning tip I could find on the internet and they did it! I have those vintage bathrooms with all the tile on the walls and floors, and they made it sparkle. I could not be happier, I am going to be using Raquel's for monthly cleaning from now on. They even leave you with nice touches like folding the overhanging toilet paper into a rose. I really appreciate those little touches, along with the superior cleaning job. It was a big job too...I have 3 dogs and there was a lot of fur. I am telling everyone I know about what a great job they did.
