Raquel's Cleaning Service Inc

I have used Raquel's Cleaning 5-6 times in the past couple of years, mostly for deep cleaning. I have always been blown away by how clean my house is afterward. I just wrote a review on 11/30/12, about my experience in August. I have to say, today, I was disappointed in the level of cleaning for the price. Last time, my refrigerator was cleaned, as well as every shelf dusted, things taken off shelves, under the furniture cleaned, beds changed and done in less time for less of a price than today. It took Raquel's Cleaners, 9 hours (3 people, 3 hours each) to clean my 1910 sq. ft. house, that I had spent, 8 hours prepping yesterday, to make sure that the counter tops and shelves, were close to clear, all toys picked up, etc. I left the house after 2 hours 15 minutes or (6 hours 45 minutes in cleaning time), thinking they may have another 15 minutes to clean, which I would have been satisfied with, but they managed to stretch it out for another 45 minutes. I had told my husband, that it was supposed to be $25 hour+tip, because that is what we paid in the past, I was not informed of the price increase so when it was $30 an hour + tip, I felt like I was overcharged $60 - $80 based on the fact that I spent a lot more time prepping than last time, and less was accomplished than in the past. When I called Raquel she told me that their $30 an hour rate was that way since January, I don't remember paying that in August, I thought the extra was for the refrigerator clean, since I had never had that done before. I would have liked to know that the rate was $30 an hour. I won't be using them again based on this past cleaning.

Same as above. No problems whatsoever. Had a little trouble with the website scheduling.

Raquel's Cleaning Service did a deep clean of my home, refrigerator, stove, baseboards, blinds, etc. It was amazing! Sparkling! Everytime I use them I am so impressed. They are the best cleaners that I have ever had clean my home. They work HARD! They never stop moving. I highly recommend them. They are super prompt with there phone call returns, scheduling, always on time. Cannot say enough good things about them.

She was very punctual and did a very thorough job. I would reccomend her.

They did a great job. Unlike many cleaning services, the hard-to-reach and difficult parts of the job were done excellently.

It went really well! I didn't have to be home while they did it, and when I got home everything was cleaned up and completed!

Did not clean specific areas that I requested. Drug dirty mop over carpet. Did not dust all surfaces. In response to the company's comments: The company cleaned only twice for me. After the second time when they did not use my vacuum, as requested, did not dust all surfaces, and did not clean areas I specifically requested I canceled their service. The "stains" on the tile floor that are referenced interestingly enough came up when my new housekeeper came the next week.

Called for an estimate & spoke to a female who was curt and obviously in a bad mood. When I questioned her quote of $120 to clean a 1000 sq foot apartment, she sarcastically said if you're expecting to pay $60 you should hire an individual. I never mentioned anything about $60, but she rudely continued to inform me that they usually don't clean apartments because people don't want to pay. Really? I received this reception for only requesting an estimate? Imagine how they would treat your home & belonging without you around. STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE!!!!

I had emailed this provider to initiate discussion on service area and timing of services. I immediately received a response from someone who said the person responsible for setting the appt wasn't in but would get back to me and if I could provide some informtion (address, phone number, etc) that would help expeditate. I immediately responded, and then heard nothing. i waited a week and re-emailed and have yet to hear anything. Now I'm in a rush to try to find someone who can accomodate my now much shorter schedule. I'll never use this place.

Arrived 1/2 hour late due to problems on previous job. Had to call office to find out why they were late. Office called back in a few minutes to explain. Crew of 3 worked hard and cleaned thoroughly. Performed all cleaning tasks as requested. Requested that windows NOT be cleaned. Slight language/communication problem resulted in several windows being cleaned before I stopped them cleaning windows. Did a very good job and will call them again for cleaning tasks in the future.

Contacted via Angie's list and she called me very quickly. She was very easy to work with and adjusted to my calendar as needed, while meeting her scheduling needs.

Pablo had to reschedule once, but it worked out for the better. He was polite, efficient and good at what he does. My husband thinks he missed our bedroom windows, but since they get hit with the pool cleaner sometimes it was hard to tell, so we'll give Pablo the benefit of the doubt. This is the 2nd time we've used Raquel's, and will continue to use them in the future. The did our whole house (33 windows, including (2) 2-story windows) in about 3 hours.

I thought they did a very good job, oother than forgetting to clean one of the bath tubs. They quoted me $30 per person per hour and I figured that two people could knock out the work in a couple of hours. Instead, they showed up with 4 people who all got paid their $30 per hour which ran our cost up to $240. Based on other prices I have seen out there, I would not use these folks again simply because of the cost. They were wonderfully responsive and professional. I just think that $240 to clean a house of our size was too much.

I hired them for an overall house cleaning. I have 2400 sq feet and the house was already neat and orderly. I needed a DEEP clean. I wanted sweeping (never saw a broom), dusting, baseboards (never touched), blinds (they closed the blinds and took a wet rag and spread around the dirt - they were not cleaned. My shower was not cleaned. They did not even spray bleach in spots that had mildew/mold. They never used a scrub brush (I think they wiped off the 4 corner shelves in the shower). They did clean the shower glass (I could have done both of those things. I hired them to CLEAN. I have to go back and scrub the shower as they did not. There are still dirt/spots on the base boards in my kitchen (I have to clean that - I have been out of town). They mopped my tile floor (Maid Brigade steam mopped it last time - same price). They did not have "back pack" vacuum cleaners (Maid Brigade did - same price). I swept after they left as they did not clean under my TV armoire which is 5" off the ground. I have a lot of art in my home and I showed them how to clean it in a way that would keep the frames straight. When they started to leave, there were MANY crooked (some of them VERY crooked) antique prints. I was not happy about this. I gave them 2 levels and showed them how to use them and they leveled every piece if art they moved before they left. There were 4? women there. They spent a lot of time gabbing and laughing. I think 2 people would have accomplished more, faster and cheaper. They did clean my stove (which I never cook in). Overall - unimpressed. I will use Maid Brigade again next time. I think they did a better job for the same of a bit less money.

They were able to access my apartment while I was at work, and when I got home it smelled and looked amazing. Couldn't be happier!

Raquel's Service did an excellent job with multiple cleaning needs I had. I scheduled them first for a Move-Out cleaning on my old house. Once the furniture was gone they went through top to bottom and had that house sparkling for the next owner. When I moved into my new house and found it filthy to my dismay, they sent out a team of two within a few hours. THAT team saw the amount of work to be done and called in reinforcements! When they left late that evening, the new house was transformed from a mess to wonderful. They did such a good job that I hired them on to do my bi-weekly cleaning and they have continued their high level of quality.

The ladies did an outstanding job of cleaning our house. They worked hard from the time they arrived until the time they left. They cleaned every inch of every room that we requested. We expected the hardwood floors to be vacuumed, only, but they were cleaned and they look beautiful. Every room is clean and shiny. We are going to have Raquel's clean our house on a regular basis.

Process went well, and Racquel's was very responsive and fairly priced for the level of effort required.

We originally hired Raquel's Cleaning Service for detailed full house cleaning following remodeling early this year. The crew did a great job and we decided to continue the service for every other week maintenance cleaning. Special cleaning requests haven't been a problem so far. The crew is punctual and the quality of work is good. The only thing we would change is being able to pay by credit card instead of leaving a check each time.

They were from Angie's List. I think hers was one of the first on the list and had good ratings, so I called, and they did do a great job. They are competent. They are on time and efficient. They work hard when they are here, and they follow instructions. They call the day before as a reminder, which is nice. The price is fair. I have them since the first of the year and it is an ongoing thing.

Overall it was great. Unfortunately her minimum is 2 cleaners for 2 hours at $120 so her services wouldn't be practical for bi-weekly maitenance cleaning but for this instance, the price and service was spot on. Note that I did not use the Angie's list $25 discount because I had to write the check in advance and Raquel thought they might need a bit more than two hours, so we settled on $120 for the job. I don't know how long it actually took because I wasn't there.

This is the 3rd time I have used Raquel's Cleaning Service. The initial visit was very expensive, but a very in depth cleaning was done. The girls that come to clean once a month, are friendly,happy, professional and excellent workers! The best housecleaning crew I've ever had, and I'm very picky! I would highly recommend the company to clean your home! ♥
