Description of Work: The original rep that was sent gave an estimate of $799. Because this was more expensive than I expected, I waited four months to schedule an installation. In the meantime, the rep had left the company. I had to schedule another appointment. The rep who arrived 15 minutes late, was not trained to do business systems and his supervisor who was supposed to be there called 15 minutes after he was supposed to arrive to say that he was 15 minutes away. I told him not to come. The person who came called a few days later with an estimate for a lessor system and not what I was requesting. I was told that I could not have what I was originally quoted by the first rep. In order to have a system like what I was expecting to have installed it would be close to $1000.

Description of Work: Estimate for Home Security System and installation of System completed 4/3/2008. Work was professionally done and explanation of use was extremely thorough. Representatives were friendly and courteous. My home is quite large, so my cost is probably a little high.

 + -1 moreThe technician showed up on time, as promised. He was professional and courteous. The work was performed as promised and within the time estimated. During the installation, the technician discovered that there were damaged wires leading to the doors. (They were singed, indicating a possible lightning strike). The technician recommended using wireless door contacts instead of me having the house re-wired. Not having all the wireless parts with him at the time, he returned early the next day to complete the installation. He charged me for the parts only, but not for his time. I am pleased with the service.
Description of Work: The alarm system in my home was outdated and needed replacing. The alarm company recommended Ranger American. Ranger replaced the central box, two keypads, and door and window sensors. The system is now fully operational.

 + -1 moreWe were satisfied with the installation, but when the man came out to show us how to use the new system, he didn t have an owners manual for us. He said he would send one in the mail. He never did and we are still waiting for one. We feel this is very bad responsiveness, but the system s quality was good.
Description of Work: As part of the builder s agreement which was covered in their cost, they installed a full alarm system in our 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom house, wiring all the windows and doors. They also ensured the pads were installed and all of this took about a day to complete.

 + -1 moreThe technician showed up within the quoted 9-Noon time frame. He was polite and efficient. He had the problem corrected within 20 minutes.
Description of Work: The control panel for our alarm system would often erroneously indicate that a window was open in a specific zone. The technician determined there was a short in a downstairs window and he replaced two window contacts.
