Pure Airways

Pure Airways came yesterday to clean the air ducts in my home and performed an excellent job! Everything was clearly explained and the air duct technicians did professional work. The price was really modest. Highly Pleased!

It did not go well, we had to call them back out after being told the job was complete.

A guy from Pure Airways came to our home and told us that the black stuff we had in our ducts and on our vents is “extremely unsafe” and that there was mold involved. We decided to go with them because their website said that our home would be left in “PRESTINE CONDITION”, “REMAIN A HEALTHY ENVIRONMENT”, “NO DEBRIS WILL RE-ENTER THE HOME”, ETC. The next day a crew came to our home and worked for half a day, and right after they left, we noticed that this “extremely unsafe” black stuff had started raining from our vents and was coating everything in our home. My wife called Pure Airways immediately to explain the situation and insisted that we REALLY needed some help ASAP. We were assured that someone would respond very quickly even though it was the end of the work day. A crew member called my wife the next day after many hours of crying, frantic cleaning and stressing about the health of our two small children, and he laughed about the situation and said that what we were describing “shouldn’t be happening”. He said he would come check it out later that same day and call us when he was on his way over. We agreed and were anxiously waiting. In the meantime, my wife texted him a couple videos of the black junk that had settled on various surfaces of our home, then he never showed up or even called, and we haven’t heard from him sense. Meanwhile we were still stuck frantically cleaning and stressing for the next couple days while this “extremely unsafe” black stuff continued to rain through our vents with still no help or response from anyone at Pure Airways. The black dust finally stopped pouring out of our vents after a couple days and it all seemed to have settled, but we were still in desperate need of having all this “extremely unsafe” mess cleaned up as quickly as possible and nobody from Pure Airways was responding to our many calls and emails. We called multiple cleaning services and found only one that said they could come the next morning, so we agreed and left our unsafe and disgusting home. The cleaners started in the morning and it took them the entire day. When they finished, they told us that it was “something they have never experienced before”, and that they produced 8 buckets of black water while doing the cleaning. Meanwhile we had been forced to occupy our two small children out of the house for multiple days without being able to plan ahead of time, which has its own costs and troubles associated. Our two-year-old daughter then became sick with a high fever and vomiting for a couple days after all of this (may or may not be related, but you can imagine what we suspect and why…). Luckily we thought to cancel the checks before these scam artists could cash them in. Pure Airways never did anything to make this right or reimburse for the cleaning. They have completely ignored us through all of this even though we have sent photos, videos, invoices and other records proving it all, which we sent them multiple times. We have tried emailing and calling many many times. They made a bad situation 10x worse, then left us alone to completely take care of it all ourselves. WOW! Any good reviews they have must be fake. We are working on taking legal action.

We purchased a brand new washer and dryer and the dryer was showing that the vent was blocked 80%. Pure Airways tech showed up 3 hours late from when they said they would be there (windowed time) and said that he would clean the vent for $500 (advertised price was $79)...I balked and they reduced the quote some he then spent 10 minutes doing the work. Well, the results are the next day the dryer was still showing 80% blocked. These guys refused to send a different tech and still has not sent a tech to make things right. They put the "Con" in contractor. Beware - stay away. It sickens me how they have essentially robbed me and my family.

They push additional services and then after signing add the extra service in the box on the receipt. DONT sign until after they are finished with the service. They wouldn't leave the house and continued arguing and asking for additional money.

They were on time, however, they weren't pleasant to smell. They not only smelled as if they had been outside all day without deodorant but they also smelled like pure cigarette smoke. They checked the main unit and took a picture of the inside in order to see how dirty it was, it wasn't that bad. They came back down stairs and brought in a large vacuum unit that attached to 1 vent. They then closed all of my other vents and turned on the vacuum system. They left it on for about 15 minutes and the entire time were outside in the back of the van smoking. After the 15 minutes of the suction/vacuuming of the vent the service guy tried to push additional services. I declined but was again later before they left pushed for the services. I purchased their service from another coupon online vendor and I do have to say that I would not be using their service again, simply because of their unpleasant smell. I'm normally not bothered by smell but that was pretty intense.
