air duct cleaning
+ -1 morei called paradise for air duct cleaning sins my house is 10 years old and never had them cleaned. the crew arrive and start the work.the tech told me the service come with free dryer vent cleaning witch i did not know but he did it as well.they check my a/c unit to c if there is any dust or mold issue but they didn't found any mold and they told me there is a little dust in the returns air but not enough to recommend to clean them, may b another year do to my 5" filter i have in the a/c unit.i am very pleased with the services and will recommend them to my friends and family!!
Description of Work: very honest company highly recommended!!!

+ -1 moreThey are horrible and just a plain rip-off. They get you with the coupon and come up with lies my ac unit was dirty and supposedly found all kinds of problems. I should not have listened because they also tore up my ac unit I had to call a real repair man. I complained to BBB and the attorney general. Please do not call them they are HORRIBLE.
Description of Work: Supposedly cleaned air ducts, cleaned a/c unit and the carpets.

+ -1 moreTerrible company, I have no idea how they stay in business. They use mis-leading ValPack coupons to get into your home. I called the day before to confirm the charges and he said $128 for 2 units. I do not trust them at all, I do not think they do half of what they charge you for. They probably do more harm to the ducts than good because they do not reattach them the same way they were and who knows what hidden damage they do on the inside. They offer a 5 year warranty knowing you will never want them back in your home and will never call them back.
Description of Work: They were hired to do what the coupon said, clean all ducts to 2 units for $64/unit. They showed up on time and several men immediately start dragging in hoses and removing all the vent covers and cleaning so that you feel obligated to pay. Then the boss will give you and estimate for $1000s of dollars. He is very intimidating and makes you feel like everything will stop working and you'll get sick from mold if you don't pay them to I do the whole $$$ process now. He claimed I had mold in both units so instead of $64 it was $194 because they have to use a different, much more costly chemical. In actuality, I don't think he used any chemical at all, I think it is just a brush and vacuum system. I couldn't watch him do his work and realized later I should have asked him to show me the different chemicals and how they are applied. Their carpet cleaning services are the worst. They always charge more that their ad says because they always claim something will not come clean without the extra $40 spot treatment. Their ad says free carpet cleaning with duct cleaning but the very fine print says (only if you have a complete system clean including all ducts, units and returns) which would be $1000s. They leave the carpet very wet and barely any cleaner than when they started. I had to ask them to go over an area twice because all kinds of filth was sucked to the surface and not extracted.

+ -1 moreThey came out to do the service. They removed the grills and cleaned each vent. They found some mold. They did something to take care of the problem, which was fine. However, when we got the final bill, it was for 611.61. I asked them about the 15% discount and we were told it does not apply. We felt very intimidated and could not understand why it was so much and why we could not get our discount. I called to speak with John at Paradise Air and let him know we were not happy. He was supposed to have a supervisor call us back but no one did.
Description of Work: I had a coupon to get unlimited cleaning of vents per unit for $64.00. I have 2 units so I knew I would be paying at least 128.00. Thier ad also claimed that we could get a 15% discount for being senior citizens.

+ -1 moreHorrible - do NOT use! Called at about 10am, said they would be there in a half an hour - an hour later they showed up. They brought their materials in and then decided to go over prices, etc...with us. The coupon was misleading - it is not for the whole house - only the supply vents and not the returns. They wanted to charge $124 per return - we have 6. Then they wanted to charge $399 to clean each unit, we have 2 and then for anti bacteria $199 each unit, again, we have 2. After much talk with them and looking at our unit, we asked if they would come down on the return air price since the coupon was misleading and they would not. We decided to only get the supply vents cleaned. Well, the first question of the day was would you like us to go from the unit down or from each room and up. We figured from each room and up so they don't even mess with our units. Well, they started work and they were going from the units down. When asked, we were given the run around that this was the same - not what we wanted. There was duct tape taken off of our tubing and just thrown in our attic. The duct tape was NOT replaced, instead it was zip-tied. They also installed our air filters that we had backwards. Then they just quickly steam cleaned our carpets - I would say soaked our carpets with water. Not sure how much cleaning actually happened there.
Description of Work: Supply air ducts were cleaned and 3 carpets were cleaned. Had a coupon for air duct cleaning with free carpet cleaning up to 3 rooms.

air duct cleaning
+ -1 moreI called the company within 30 minutes after the repairman had left, spoke with the supervisor, and the supervisor said they would be out to fix it first thing the next morning. They still haven?t came. They had zero concern for the customer. I had to call another heating contractor to get the heater working again.
Description of Work: They came and cleaned our air ducts. We also had them clean out the heating unit in the attic. As far as the cleaning goes, I guess that went OK (I can’t tell since I can’t get in the vents). What irritated me, is that the people came very late in the day, and they were in such a hurry to get their check and get out the door they didn’t stick around to see if there was going to be anything wrong with the heater. As soon as they left I turned the heater on, and we had no heat. It was 19 degrees. We were without heat for 22 hours.
