Slower than anything and they charge by the hour. They used to be the best. Now they have slow inexperienced people charging a fortune for poor work. I will never use this place again.

Do not pay this company without getting an itemized invoice of work to be done. Been waiting for a few day and Lindsey has yet to provide me with it.

Broken valve that needed to be found in the yard, it was hidden. It waa replaced.

John showed up on time, but he was dishonest, unprofessional, and abrasive. John confirmed that my problem was a bad solenoid, but he continued on to explain a different issue that I was not having and went into detail about how expensive it could have been. He also emphasized that I have a top notch system when in reality it is a common Rain Bird system. It was obvious he had mistaken me for a naïve resident in a decent neighborhood and that I was getting primed for the "good" news. I was evaluating the system as he finished talking and I must not have responded to him quickly enough because he smugly commented, "It is not that complicated, buddy". He maintained an attitude as if he had superior intelligence through the entire experience. John knocked on the door after replacing the solenoid and informed me that the solenoid was in fact the only problem and that he was double checking the system. I immediately asked him what everything was going to cost and that is when he broke down my bill. He told me the price of the part and I immediately became suspicious. $125 for a solenoid seemed pretty high from my past experience. He told me it was a Rain Bird solenoid so I looked at Rain Bird's website and located the price for their solenoid, $25.94. I called Mustang's office to discuss the price that John was quoting me for the solenoid and I was told they mark parts up 100% based on their cost. The problem was that they were charging me a 500% mark up. I agree that profits have to be made and marking up parts plays a vital role in accomplishing that, but price gouging and an employee blatantly lying to customers is not ethical. I started recording video on my phone when John had turned his back to me and refused to respond. He started giving me the silent treatment in response to my request for an accurate bill, including the 100% mark up for the part. I asked John for specifics about the solenoid that he had installed, but he refused to give me any information other than the brand insisting on the fact it was a special solenoid. John went on to say, "you're lucky we didn?t charge you four or five times our cost. That's what I did when I worked for other companies" and "I'll be honest with you, we aren't cheap". I also have him on camera telling me, "you're arguing with the wrong guy". I was not sure if his comment was intended to be a threat or not, but I immediately ended the conversation and paid him so he would just leave. He was angry that I had called his employer to question his price of the part. After John left I looked at the solenoid and confirmed it was in fact the one anyone can pick up for $25.94, before any contractor's discounts. The truth was that he did charge me the 500% mark-up he had told me that I should be grateful for not having to pay.

Mustang was able to come out the same day. Upon arrival, the contractor briefed me on what he was going to do then hit the ground running. He treated my situation and my system as if it was his own. He did what he said he would do, when he said he would do it, and for a reasonable price. You cannot ask for more. I will use Mustang Contracting in the future and highly recommend them to others.

The city I live in replaced all the main water lines on my street and installed new water meters at each residence. The contractor they hired (lowest bidder I'm sure) had to disconnect my old water meter from my sprinkler system and reconnect a new one. Not even a year went by and it started leaking. The city told me that since the leak was on my side of the meter, it was my problem not theirs. Well, I didn't call the lowest bidder like the city did. I called Mustang Contracting. Miguel came out on time and did right what the city couldn't get right. He carefully dug deep so as not to cause any more damage. After about a 2 1/2 feet hole, he found the leak. He explained to me that the city's contractor did not use enough glue on the pvc fittings. He showed me how the pvc fittings were loose and sliding loosely. Unbelievable. What do you expect? It's the government. Miguel correctly repaired the shoddy workmanship of somebody else who didn't care about me and knew they would never see me again. It hasn't leaked anymore and my sprinkler works great. I knew Mustang would repair the leak right the first time. I've been using Mustang Contracting for 14 years. I first called Mustang in 2000 because back then, they were the only ones working on Saturday. I've been using Mustang ever since. I have experienced nothing but spectacular service and competitive prices from this company. The same 2 men have answered the phone every time I've called for 14 years. I also recognize their irrigators from previous calls. Employee retention equals experience which equals jobs done right the first time. I do not have a 14 year relationship with any other contractor. They have serviced my current property and my previous property. They are number one in my book. Sorry it took me so long to review them. Better late than never.

When I spoke to the owner over the phone, I made it clear that the price was important to me. The person on phone told me I can go and buy my own parts and they will only charge labor. Even though they charged $150 per hour rate, I went with them (vs $120 competitor rate) because transparency and accurate of final cost is very important to me. The owner told me to go to a hardware store and purchase Sprinkler Valves and the boxes that house them. He told they will bring a truck and got everything else covered. The did arrive on the date and time they promised. The 2 man crew seems to know what they are doing and I can't comment on quality as the system is just installed but I believe it looks good on the surface. After the work was completed I was given the final Invoice. I was charged $600 ($150 x 4 hours) for labor and $195 for minor parts! I called the owner and wanted an explanation. He said it is standard procedure in America and found it very comical that I called. The owner was well aware that, I had a small budget and I needed standard supplies like fitting, 3/4" PvC pipe, Glue & Primer, Wire/King Splices which I could have easily picked up at the hardware store along with the Valve and the box for 1/3 of the price he eventually charged. This is unethical and highly misleading as he told me "he got it covered". No it is not a standard procedure in Plano (which is still in America) because when I used other plumbers to work in my kitchen, changed my garage door, replaced my heating system they didn't charge for every single screw and piece of tape they used. I am not expecting someone else to pay my expenses, but charging me 3 times the cost for all minor parts and purposely misleading me in the initial call is what I am very disturbed. I don't find any of this comical so I am taking my time to share my experience in Angies list. I will highly recommend anyone who use this company for service to have them show you the hidden "Worksheet" before you let them work on anything or you could be up for a surprise.

John came out and did a great job. He explained all issues that needed to be addressed. He answered all my questions to my satisfaction. He did an outstanding job. Great customer service. I would absolutely use Mustang in the future. They did an A1 job in my book!

Stafford listened and decided to dig in the area where I thought I may have cut the cables. He identified the cut cables and fixed them and go the sprinkler system working in about an hour. I felt that he did a good job and provided a fair value. His hourly rate is higher than many, but he seemed to know what he was doing. I have no hesitation about recommending Shafford and Mustang Contracting.

They were on time and did a good job. While it's only been a short time, it appears they addressed my coverage issues. They listened to my needs and addressed them all. I will definitely call them if I need irrigation service in the future.

I got info from Angies list. Called a few and left messages with no response...When I called Mustang, one of the owners answered the phone...he was so nice and made an appointment to come over. Gave an estimate after spending time checking it all out..and making recommendations. Work was done quickly and well and now all is good. I would recommend them to anyone.

We have been using them for about 8-9 years. They are reasonably priced, really friendly and do a great job.

Our sprinklers had apparently stopped running so we called them our. We realized mainly because our bushes were all dying, moreso than expected despite the extremely high temperatures of summer. They came out and replaced a broken rain sensor and did a system check. I thought all was fixed but a couple weeks later after some of our bushes completely died I realized that the sprinklers in one of the beds were not working. Mustang completely missed this despite the system check they supposedly did and I paid for. Therefore many bushes had to be removed and replaced. We called a new company, Waterboys, and they fixed a pipe that had broken in the ground near the bed, along with "sprucing' up our sprinklers to better cover our large lawn. We have used them since and we are VERY happy with their work and service. I will not go back to using Mustang in the future. They are not as detailed as other companies.

From making the appointment to the end of the service, Mustang did a great job. This was our second time using them for sprinkler work. The first time was at a different address. We had John both times. He is knowledgeable, helpful, and has good recommendations. We will continue to use Mustang Contracting for our sprinkler system maintenance.

As usual, MC did a great job at a reasonable price.

First, I had to beg him to come to the house to give me the bid and he was just working three houses down from mine. He quoted me $6,480.00 to remove the tile from bathroom walls, pull up vinyl flooring, and replace fixtures. This would have only been for the labor, not for any fixtures or supplies and also I was going to be responsible for the debris removal. I had received another bid for just $600 on just the tile work. I received another bid for $1,200 for the entire job. Mustang's prices were extremely high and I will not be using them.

Overall the job went very well. Miguel Gonzalez and his assistant were very polite, courteous and professional. The owner, Shafford McKinney, came by to check on the job as well. Again, extremely impressed with the response they gave me.

Inherited a sprinkler system. Mustang came out on a Saturday morning to "teach" me how to use it, repair a couple of sprinkler heads and determine why a zone was not working. Service person was prompt and helpful but could not get zone working. He searched for pipes and never could find them. He replaced heads and showed me how to use the system. Price was way too high for work performed.

I inherited a yard with a sprinkler system installed by Mustang. I called them to service and change parts of the system based on a number of changes I made to the landscaping (addition of beds, movement and growth of shrubs). Jose and his crew came out initially and helped me understand the control box and all the zones; they spent several hours working through each zone in detail and moving the head until the coverage was greatly improved. In each case they tried to work with the existing equipment I already had installed, rather than suggesting the addition of new zones (which would have been much more expensive). I did have to call for a short follow-up visit, as one zone still was not working exactly as I had requsted....Jose came back out the same day and made adjustments with me watching until it was satisfactory.
