Moved & stored with them. They tried to up my charges based on erroneous start & end times. They used my electronic initials to sign where I didn't. Billing dept screwed up resulting in me back paying them over $800 at once. Items stolen, broken & mishandled. Denied access to my own property. I was told my move was scheduled between 2:30 and 5:30 on Friday afternoon. At 3:30, they called and said there would be a short delay. At 6:30, the driver called and said their truck had broken down and they would be there very soon. They finally showed up to do the pickup at 8:30 and delivered the furniture to my home at 10:00. I asked the driver to call me when the delivery was done so I would know what time they had finished (I was in another state due to my father dying). I told the driver to not charge the credit card that I had left on file because I wanted to talk to management before I was charged. When I returned home, my mother (she was at our home for the delivery) told me that she had paid the driver. When I asked why, she said the driver told her he couldn't take my credit card number and she needed to pay the bill right then. She is a 76 year old woman who was at home alone, at 10 at night with two strange men in the house, so naturally she paid them. I called and spoke to 2 different people at Mighty Movers before I finally was called back by the owner, Brian. He was very rude and made no attempt to improve my impression of his company. He even had the nerve to tell me I was lucky they had come at all. I would move myself before I called this company again!

First experience with any kind of movers. We had the option of priority appointment (first move of the day) and opted to not pay for that but we're still the first to be moved (7am). We only had the large items (things like couches, bed, desk, dining table, w/d) moved because those were items we didn't want to move ourselves from our third floor apartment. The movers assessed everything we needed moved, loaded the truck (large and could have easily fit everything (2-bedroom apartment)), secured everything, and drove to new apartment. At the new apartment, you have to immediately turn and go up stairs after entering the front door. To get the dining table in, the legs had to be removed and reattached once upstairs. The bathroom door also had to be removed from its hinges to get the dryer in to the laundry area - movers made sure I approved (extra time) before doing this, and it was so quick, I didn't even realize when it had been done. Everything was moved promptly and placed into the relative area, including the queen size bed and two night stands in the third floor loft. Movers were very efficient, and as a plus, they were very friendly which helped ease my almost two year old's uneasiness as random people moved all "his" possessions out of his home.

Worst customer service ever. She bragged about no hidden fees or extra charges and then proceeded to tell me what they were and how this is "industry standard". Oh you want us to show up, there is a fee for that. Oh you want us schedule a time to show up, there is a fee for that. Oh you want to cancel, there is a fee for that. etc. When I called her on it she began to argue with me. Arguing is not the way to earn my business, neither is a bunch of BS fees to show up, book or cancel. Avoid these guys.

The big deal experience that I had with Mighty Movers worked out very good. The deal was for 279 dollars and I think the cost might have been a little extra because they were coming in from Dallas and we were in Ft. Worth. I did go with an extra charge to it if I remember it correctly. It took them a couple of hours to complete the job for me. There were 2 of them that came. There were no unexpected issues, not that I can recall.

We had some technical errors with the website that led us to not being able to choose the date we needed to schedule for, and we felt that we should have not been charged for the deal if the date we needed was unavailable. Because of this issue, we were charged a $150 cancellation fee when we contacted Mighty Movers about the situation. We felt that there were an exorbitant amount of surcharges, none of which were mentioned on the deal. There were so many issues with the timing, and we felt that the movers were dragging things out in order to be able to charge us extra for going over the time limit. We felt that the movers were just there for the money. I feel like they did not see us as valued customers because we were Angie's List members, which should be the very opposite! Also, the additional hours they were trying to charge us were well above the price for additional hours that was listed on the deal page.

Total ripoffs! I gave a very detailed itemized list of items to move. I also provided an exact address to address. I was quoted a price to move of $270. The movers were smoking during the move, slow taking their time, not professional texting & on their phones and stood around talking in their truck when they thought I wasn't looking. They were day labor quality not people who do this professionaly. Several items were damaged including the walls were totally scratched up. My credit card was billed $514.50 over double what I was told. I never got an opportunity to view the bill before they billed my card the $514.50. I was notified by email with the final price. I contacted the company and asked to speak to a manager or the owner. The manager nor the owner Brian will not return any calls. No one answers my calls now. I tried from a different number and they immediately answered. They gave an excuse no manager nor the owner was available they would call me back. No call to date. Very disappointed in their customer service. I will never use this company again or refer them to anyone. I see online I am not the only one who has experienced the same issues. Unhappy customers will destroy a business quick. Again I am very disappointed in this company's actions.

The moving crew of 2 men were very professional and courteous throughout the entire process. However, the First problem was I gave them a credit card number when the move date was confirmed. I was surprised when moving crew arrived and went over my services before loading that there was going to be a 5% charge for using my credit card to pay for services! NEVER had that been brought up during my engagement discussions with the sales staff (multiple opportunities to bring it up). Secondly, during the drive to new location, I received call from rep at office of moving company to go over "a few things" related to move. I was told that since the move was a second story up several steps, there would be an extra charge because it would take crew longer to offload. NEVER during discussion with sales rep was I asked about whether this was ground floor or second story! Third, after the crew had unloaded and left, we realized that a lamp was missing from the items offloaded. I made 3 calls and was told each time they did not have it and it was my responsibility to be certain that Everything was loaded and offloaded. I double checked the empty house and it was not there. Somewhere between the house and truck it had magically disappeared. I asked about filing a claim and was told they have 60 cents per pound liability coverage, not nearly enough to cover cost of $150 lamp! This company engages in dishonest, deceptive bait and switch tactics and should never be used for moving services.

We had our closing moved from a Friday to a Monday. On Friday, we were forced to reschedule the move to Wednesday due the crews being full until then. I was told the trucks were booked for 13 hours each day until Wednesday. With our close Monday and with me taking vacation and my in-laws in town to help with the move, I had to change companies. The representative tried to seem sensitive and asked me who i was going with and i told him. He then said i would be charged $100 for cancelling. So a company so busy that i couldn't get re booked for 5 days, saw this as a revenue opportunity. Moving is a difficult situation and a stressful one. I am very happy with "All my Son's Moving" who i liked right from the start. I am paying more now, but i guess $100 is worth the lesson on who not to use. Don't fall for low prices. Just my experience.

We HIGHLY recommend Mighty Movers and would refer them to anyone without hesitation. Mighty Movers was professional , courteous, and a pleasure to deal with. Moving is hard work, requiring a bunch of strong guys to carry other people's heavy things. Yet, everyone we dealt with, on every level, was polite and careful while moving everything in our 3 bedroom , third floor apartment from Texas to New England. While we were very pleased with the competitive rate which they charged, I would recommend them even if some other mover may be a little less expensive. They know what they are doing and made an already stressful situation a little less difficult. Unlike too many Texas businesses, Mighty Movers always got back to us and followed up. If they tell you that they will contact you or do something , they will. A very pleasant moving experience.

First, let me tell you that when I called I told them I had gotten their name from Angie's list, a time period appeared like magic! They were scheduled to come between 3-5; however, @ 4:45 I started to become concerned. No one answered at the office when I called, but about 5:30 Michael called to let me know they were running late. They arrived after 6 p.m. and did an assessment , we reviewed the contract, and they started moving furniture. I loved the fact that I didn't have to empty my dresser drawers ! They tried to move my computer desk in one piece but ultimately had to break it down to get it through the door. Other than that, they moved like a well-oiled machine and I kept the iced - tea flowing. Within about an hour or so, we were on our way down the road. It was dark by the time we arrived at our new appartment and there was no place for them to park the truck but they made a way: fortunately, we moved to the bottom floor so it was a little easier. Even though the sun had gone down, it was still sweltering and I felt comfortable enough to run to the store to get Mike and Dennis some water. When I returned, the Dennis had saved my parking space by placing our dining room chairs in the spot! Michael was trying to put my desk back together by the light in the hall way. Luckily, the box with the lamps was on top and I was able to "en-lighten" him and it he completed the job perfectly. They got the washer and dryer placed, helped me re- arrange the dining room table (it's very heavy) and move the sofa into place. Michael and Dennis were very courteous, professional, and respectful of my furnishings. They worked tirelessly in spite of the heat and the lateness of the hour; they didn't finish until around 10:30 p.m. They are hard-working young men and are wonderful ambassadors for their company. I would hire Mighty Movers again!

We contacted three companies based on reviews from Angie's List. Mighty movers was the cheapest of the three. Apparently, you get what you pay for. The guys who were sent by Mighty Movers were on time and courteous through the entire process. Our salesman do not tell us that they would not move things that are not in boxes. That means they will not move lamps, mirrors, or large pictures. We had quite a few of each, so our move was not complete. They scratched up our dining room table, but I didn?t complain because with a move as big as ours, you would expect a few scratches here and there. In the process of moving our large office desk, they put a hole in the top the size of a half dollar and a piece of trim fell off of the bottom. One of the movers, Louis, put the trim in his pocket and stated he would glue it back on when we got to the new house. When they left, we noticed that he had not glued the trim back on and had not left it for us to do. We called Louis and he said he would be over the following day with wood putty, paint, and the remaining piece of trim to fix the damage. We agreed. He did not show up. Over the course of the next three weeks, he failed to show up for 4 scheduled appointments. We then called the main office and asked them to fix it. The owner stated that they will not make a claim against the insurance unless the piece is completely destroyed and the value is greater than $3000. (That, of course, is not what we were told by the salesman when we asked questions regarding insurance and possible damages before the move). They called Louis and scheduled two more appointments to fix the desk?both were missed. The next time we called the office, they offered to send us a check for $100 to fix the desk top and they stated that Louis was going to bring the piece of trim to them and they would include it in the envelope. We agreed. They said it would be 7-10 days before we received anything. Two weeks later we called the office and they had not done ANYTHING. They agreed AGAIN to send the money and the trim. The next day we received a check but not the trim. We called the office and they offered to send their ?cabinet guy? out to look at it. After a few days of not hearing anything, we called the office again and spoke to the owner. He said he didn?t have a ?cabinet guy? and they were not going to be sending the missing trim piece or anyone to fix it. They were done with this issue. This was a lesson learned. Please allow me to bullet point first and then feel free to read the details of what happened if you have the time: -You will only move a few times in your life. Make a good choice. You can do better than this company. -The only reason I didn't give them an F is because they didn't break any of my items. -Movers showed up four hours late for a scheduled move. -They only offered a refund after I complained. The refund was originally $5 but they made it $20 after I continued to complain. -I gave them two business days to email or call me and never received a reply from management. I am writing this review on the third day. -There is a fuel/truck fee with this company. Add $80 to the price of this special. -They promised a 26 foot truck but it had items from a previous job so they didn't have room for all of my items. -The job was finished 30 minutes early because there was no space left in the truck. -The sales rep or logistics coordinator either scheduled incorrectly because they are bad at their job or on purpose to bring in revenue at the expense of good customer service. -I split up the move between two weekends so they not only got a poor review but they also lost out on additional business. -The company I am using for the next move has no truck/fuel fee. I spoke with a rep from the company, Greg, and asked if they had any openings on Saturday June 7. He confirmed they did and told me he could either schedule it and give me the Angie's list price or I could schedule through the site. Thankfully I decided to go through the site so I can share my experience. He also informed me there is a truck fee. I replied that detail wasn't on the Angie's list site and he told me to read the fine print. It is listed as a fuel fee and the only way around the fuel fee is if you live in a certain zip code. Essentially you have to be moving to or from an industrial park to get the special price. Plan on paying the fuel/truck fee so add $80 to whatever their discounted price is on the site. Fuel is expensive and at the time this didn't seem unreasonable so I proceeded with scheduling the move. I reserved two movers with a 26' truck for three hours. Greg followed up with me the next day to confirm that the movers would arrive and gave me a window of Saturday morning from 9am to noon. On Saturday morning I started moving items to the driveway in anticipation of their arrival so their time would be used efficiently and not moving smaller items from the house to the truck. Noon came and went and I called the company to find out when the movers would arrive. Greg informed me that the movers were taking a little longer at their previous job. He said they had a job in South Fort Worth and they should be there around 2 but at the end of the conversation he said they would be there around 2:30. 2:30 came and went and went and I received a voicemail from the driver of the truck who said they would be there between 3-3:30 but by the end of the voicemail he said it would likely be closer to 4. I called Greg back and in a very calm manner I told him I understood that delays happen but this was a failure of the company to plan their jobs and asked what they normally do in a situation like this. He said he would have to speak with his boss about any sort of a refund. At 4pm, four hours after the end of three hour window when they were supposed to arrive, the truck pulls down the street. By this time I had almost every item on the lawn and in the driveway so the movers would be sure and get everything in the truck and I would not have to go over my scheduled time. None of the items suffered any sort of damage but I had to sit in the garage all day and watch my stuff because someone else on the street had a garage sale so people kept driving by and I had to tell them that we were moving and not having a garage sale. Let me state that the two guys that showed up to move my stuff were friendly and professional. Let me also state that my issue is more with the company management and ownership more than the two guys who worked with me to get my stuff moved. They showed up to do a job and it would have been a waste of the time I paid for to give them attitude or excessively complain. We had to go over the preliminary paperwork. I told him I was upset but not with him and was going to take up my complaint with the company. He said he would call the sales rep Greg and see about a refund since I had to approve the charges prior to the move. Greg authorized a refund of $5. That means that he put a value on my time of $1.25/hour. We agreed that was insulting but we needed to get to work and would address the issue later. Ronnie and Lawrence did a good job of moving my items. They didn't slack and were professional in their manner. I wish that they owned the company. As we loaded the truck I asked Ronnie if there was room for a few more items and he confirmed they were full. We proceeded to the new home and unloaded all the items. I had to give my credit card to pay for the final charges since they can't do it before in case they go over the scheduled three hours. We started our move at 4 and finished at 6:30. I confirmed that the truck they used is 26'. When all of my items were out of the truck I looked and they had a couch and some other furniture near the front. Ronnie informed me they were from the previous job and that normally they would take those back to their warehouse but they were so behind that they had to make the call to proceed to my job. It was the better of two poor options. If they would have had an empty truck then we could have put more items and I could have used the full three hours. Ronnie asked me how I would like to pay and I gave him my credit card. He told me that the manager had authorized an additional discount and instead of the $80 truck fee I would instead be paying $60 so they had increased the value of my time to $5 an hour. I asked him what time his first job of the day started and he said they got their at 7 and planned on working four hours, leaving at 11 and arriving at my house at 12pm. The job ended up taking four hours longer. They charge an overage fee of $120/hour so they made $480 extra on top of what they originally charged that customer if my calculations are correct. Their time is worth $120 and hour and mine is worth $5 an hour. The person that scheduled that first job of the morning should have either scheduled more than two people to work on the job or scheduled more time so that the two jobs didn't overlap and it left me waiting for four hours. What really stinks is that they had another job after mine. Luckily they ran out of room in the truck so the next guy saw his movers a little earlier than he would have if I would have used my full three hours. As I stated earlier, the guys worked hard and I didn't want to penalize them for working for a disreputable company. I gave them a cash tip and I thanked them for their honest efforts. I emailed the sales rep Greg that I booked with and I also left him a voicemail to give me his side of the story. As of this review they have not responded and I don't expect to get an email or call with an explanation or apology. I have already booked another company to move the rest of my home this weekend June 14. I have my fingers crossed. I hope this serves as sufficient warning to anyone thinking about hiring Mighty Movers.
