I stopped by the store with a good friend of mine as I was looking for furniture for my new home. I found a leather ottoman that was done in a leather that I fell in love with and after speaking with Brad, the salesperson at length and being assured that if anything at all was not right after ordering, the Luxury of Leather would always take care of it..for a lifetime. Based on his lenghty promises and assurances of quality and the company warranties I ordered a sofa, loveseat and chair to match the sample ottoman that I purchased from the showroom. The ottoman was to be delivered with my furniture. Brad said he would have some samples that I could take of the leather available in a couple of days, when I went in to pick them up they were totally different than what was on the ottoman and I quickly brought this to the attention of Shannon, the salesperson there that day as Brad was not in. He said I would need to get with Brad but, looked up my order and saw that it had a different color than what the ottoman was. I spoke with Brad the next day and was assured by him to not worry that it will all match and I will love it. When the furniture was delivered, the ottoman was missing and the leather was a totally different color and texture from what was ordered. The delivery people were instructed of this and a note was made on the receipt. The ottoman was brought the next morning and having all of the furniture in the same room made the difference even more apparent. This was the Friday before Christmas and I had company coming in. The Luxury of Leather assured me that we would work on a resolution the following week and I would keep the furniture until we decided what to do. I was later told that the leather that was on the ottoman was an older leather and no longer available. This really upset me more as I had spent almost $8000.00 on custom furniture and it was not at all what I chose. I was to have 2 complimentary pillows made..those have still yet to be delivered. I ordered a special tooled leather pillow, I have no clue where this is. The mismatched ottoman (which is a large square ottoman) is still here, they were going to pick it up and redo it to match the other furniture..still no one has come, called, or even bothered to check on the situation. I sent the Helen, the CEO an email..no reply.I am beyond frustrated and dissapointed with this company and feel like I am being forced to accept their carelessness . They could have simply advised the leather was unavailable and I would have made an alternate selection, the key is "I" would have made the selection. They took my money, and now they are quite content to totally disregard me. I have filed a complaint with the BBB. They give lots of false promises about their service, warranties, and their committment to customer satisfaction..FALSE! DO NOT ORDER FROM THE LUXURY OF LEATHER!
