LUMBERJACK TREE SERVICE

I found this company on Angie's List and I couldn't be happier. The city had given me a deadline to trim a few of the trees above the sidewalk and because I procrastinate...the deadline was the next day. I left a message on the office voicemail that evening and my call was returned at 8 the next morning. The girl that did the scheduling was very friendly, polite, and sympathetic to the urgency that I had. She said that Derek had a crew available and they could be at my house that morning. Derek arrived exactly when promised. He walked my property with me and we discussed my options and how much work needed to be done. He had extensive knowledge of the types of trees I had and how they are best trimmed for their health, maintenance, and overall appearance of my property. I was so impressed with how helpful he was and how patient he was with a single mom that doesn't even ever think about trees. Derek made me feel very comfortable at all times and he gave me a price that was significantly lower than the other quotes I had in the past. Once we agreed on the price, his guys got moving quickly and efficiently. They did the work in a few short hours, moved the trimmings, and even used a leaf blower for general tidying. The trees look beautiful and it has greatly improved the appearance of my property in general (in less than 24 hours after the initial phone call!). It must have been impressive because I had 3 neighbors come by that day to get his company's information. I am so relieved that I found this great company, and I plan to use them for all of my landscaping needs in the future.

I had a very large bush that needed to be removed. It was almost two full stories tall. Thorny too! It was a fair price that they quoted, and while I could have done it cheaper they impressed me. (Partly due to angie's list.) And they did it the very next day!!!!

Called on Monday, received a quote on Tuesday and they completed the work in 40 minutes on Friday. Job looks good, cleaned up about as good as possible and I am satisfied. After taking some time to look it over better, I would probably have had them remove a few more limbs that will become a problem in the near future. Hector was the leader for a three man team.

We got 3 different estimates and their price was the cheapest. They came when they said they would, on time. The first day when they came they didn?t come with the right equipment. So they came back again and did the job. There were no problems at all.

Very well. Job done within budget. I did mention that a couple of small limbs were touching the house and asked if they could remove them. They did not but that was also not in the original work order.

Overall very well. They cleaned up after themselves. Very efficient. I would have liked a call before the stump grinder showed up though.

Hector and his assistant arrived early for my 2:00 appointment. After evaluating the trees, he realized that the tree in the front was going to be more work than had been originally thought. When the original quote was given the tree hadn't started budding out. By the time the work was done the tree had budded out and at that time we discovered the middle of the tree was dead. After some negotiating came up with an agreed upon amount. They trimmed the tree in the back and came back the next morning to trim the tree in the front. Original quote was for $633 the actual work was done for $1023.

Great. Be ready for them to do the work because they get right to it.

Despite the seeming harassment for payment (their statement states clearly that I had 10 days after the job to pay them...calls and e-mails started the next business day)...the job was completed and I am satisfied.

The owner (Derek Hebert) arrived on time for review prior to the estimate. Walked around the yard with Derek and explained to him what we needed done. We were the third job of the day and were told they would be here around noon, but didn't come until a little after 1pm. We were still debating as to whether cut the Maple limb off or trim it back, but after talking to Hector decided to do a little of both. Hector and his crew were very quick and did a good job of cleaning up afterwords. Everyone, from Mr. Hebert to his mother, who called me back to schedule the service, to his office staff and the trimming crew, were an absolute pleasure to deal with.

I talked to someone in the office and scheduled an estimate. They were prompt and concise with the estimate. They showed up on the agreed day and took care of the stumps. I would definitely work with them again.

I had a very good experience with them. They were very prompt and quick with the work they had to do. They are very easy to talk too. They cleaned all the mess that they made. He didn't even cause much of a blockade to the alleyway that's next to our fence.

They did a great job. They did the job a day after I called them. They were very professional. They did the job quickly. They were very friendly and attentive.

I called at 5:00 pm on a Thursday for an estimate on a very large tree I'd been told needed to be cut down. These folks called back immediately and were ready to send out a crew the next morning. Isidore, the supervisor, and his crew were there right on time Friday morning. He quoted me a reasonable price for the big job; then, when I asked if he thought the tree needed to come down, he told me he thought we could save it. I was utterly impressed. He was too honest to push me into a major expense. I went on to have them cut several smaller trees, which they did quickly and expertly and left the yard cleaner than they found it. They raked and blew leaves, and I even saw one of them break off a small limb to prop up a tomato plant that was drooping. Oh, and Isidore helped me chase my scared chickens into the coop when they got out. They were wonderful.

It took about 1.5 to 2 weeks before I received the estimate by email. However, the job they did was great! Derek did exactly what I asked for. The canopies of the trees were raised, and the "sucker" branches were also removed. The trees looked very clean. I used two other services previously, and they did not come close to doing the job Derek did. They also ground down the stumps of 2 small trees I had them take down, after they had the city come out first to mark gas lines before doing the stump grinding. A few days after the job was completed, the office called to check on my satisfaction with the job. After confirming that everything was OK, they asked for permission to run the charges on my credit card. Everything went very smoothly.

Derek arrived very quickly to give us an estimate. His crew began working within a few days of the estimate. Since we have 10 very tall trees and about 4 medium trees, the job was fairly big. The four-man crew took two days to complete everything, as estimated. They arrived on time both days, were very courteous about not using the chainsaw while my toddler napped, and respected my yard as a whole, not only the trees. The crew cleaned up after their first day of work on a Friday so we could enjoy our yard during the weekend. The clean up on Monday after the completion of the job was more thorough, and our yard was left in good shape. The Angie's List coupon saved us a little more than the tax of the complete project, and every little bit helps.

Called late in the day on Thurs, Sept. 11th, to have two oak trees trimmed before Hurricane Ike was supposed to blow through Dallas. I received a call-back within one hour and the work was scheduled for the next day. The crew of three, led by a foreman named Hector, arrived on time and spent two hours thinning out both trees, which had not been done professionally for over five years. They then stacked the huge amount of limbs very neatly on my parkway for the city to pick up the following week. Before they left, Hector even helped me trim some hard-to-reach limbs on hedges that I was trimming myself. Everyone, from Mr. Hebbert to his mother, who called me back to schedule the service, to his office staff, and the trimming crew, were an absolute pleasure to deal with.

They were great, got right back to me. They came over the very next day and gave me a written estimate and had someone out a few hours later to do the removal.

They were very professional, they were really fast and came out the next day when i called them. I would recommend them to others and i would use them again.

EXCELLENT punctuality on the estimate visit. Had a written estimate within 3 hours. Scheduled service for the following Monday at 8:30. At 11:30, no one had shown up, so I called the office to ask the ETA. They said that the crew got called out of town (all 3 of them?) and if we could reschedule for next day. This was the only major issue that I had with the service---the no-show/no call. Otherwise, very happy. They showed up at scheduled time next day. The tree work that was performed deserves an A. The clean up of the branches gets a B-. Overall, I'd give them an A-. The followup phone calls were appreciated.

From beginning to end, the company was attentive, professional, and helpful. Scheduling the estimate was easy, they were flexible in scheduling the actual work and I was kept up to date on the stages of the project, including when the workmen had to re-schedule the stump grinding. The workmen were courteous and easy to communicate with. After removing four large trees from my backyard, they left behind less debris in the pool than my weekly yard crew. Their attention to detail in keeping my yard clean was amazing and very much appreciated. In spite of having such major work done, I barely noticed the workmen were here except to see the results were even better than I expected. I highly recommend this company and will be calling them in the future.

They were very responsive in coming out to give me an estimate, Derek called me while he was at my house to go over what I needed. They left a good estimate that broke down the tree take down and the stump grinding so we could weigh the cost. We ended up having them remove the trees and they did a great job and hauled it all off. The lady that answers the phone, Alicia, was great to work with (very pleasant and organized). They were quick, estimate on Monday and the trees were gone on Tuesday. We're still debating the stump grinding and if we do decide to do it, we'll definitely call Lumberjack to do it.

It was wonderful! They clean up! The two gentleman doing the work were very polite and sweet. They got rid of the entire mess! The workers seemed to be happy with what they were doing. I was so happy, I gave each of them a big tip!

A crew was out the same day we asked for a quote. They worked quickly and we're satisfied with the work.
