Lumberjack came out the same day and was able to remove it safely.

I have used the company in the past and they have done great work. I am always satisfied with their work. Although this time the stumpgrinding person did not show up until the next day after after I was told he would show up. He did a good a job though.

Nathan came out and gave me a bid of $700.00, minus the Angie's List discount of &75.00. Maria provided me with proff of insurance. I accepted and we set a date for the upcomming Friday. A crew showed up for service. The forman made it clear that he was not interested in trimming this tree. After talking with Maria, we set up with the crew headed by Hector. (for the following Friday) Hector and his crew showed up on time and did a very nice job.

Very satisfied with the job and have already recommended them to a friend.

Awesome these guys are the best and I will look to them in the future for tree/lawn services.

Requested the work on Wed. 8.3.11 with appointment set for 12:00pm on Fri. 8.5.11. I arranged to work from home and wanted to take lunch at 12:00pm to talk with the crew before they started work. By 12:30pm, the crew had not arrived and I had called three times to the office and only gotten the answering machine. By 12:40pm, I was able to get Maria who wasn't aware the crew hadn't arrived and said she would try to reach them to get a status. At 1:00pm I reached Maria again who explained they were just wrapping up and should be there in an hour. By 2:15pm I called again, told her they still weren't there and Maria said she wasn't sure what the problem was except they had had to dump the truck. By 3:10pm Maria called and said they were en route and should be to my home in 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, I called her back and cancelled. Maria was polite at all times and offered to reschedule. I reminded her my appointment had been for 12:00 noon, that I was working from home specifically to be able to speak with the crew, and that I had ended up arranging my entire afternoon around waiting for the crew to show up. I was not about to reschedule for Saturday and waste my weekend time going through the same experience. I don't know what was going on, but the crew was not keeping the office informed as to their whereabouts and actual status, so the service was horrible. As a result, I will go out of my way to recommend to people that they NOT use Lumberjack for their tree trimming jobs.

Very well. You cold hardly tel they would been there when left. Great clean up, even accidentally broke my fence but fixed it as well.

Three workers showed up. One did all the cutting and the other two helped guide and carry around to the curb. The job took about 45-60 minutes in total. The workers all did a good professional job but the $440 price seemed high relative to the amount of time (<1 hour) that was required for the job. Not sure if we will use again due to the price - We have several other similar trees that need to be removed that we will get other competing estimates for.

Nathan came out to my house to look at the job and give me an estimate. He was very personable, knowledgeable, and professional. They had an email estimate for me the same day. Their office staff was also very pleasant and professional and made some last minute changes for me on the work to be done with no problem. The crew arrived on time and did a great job. I would definitely hire them again.

Overall a great experience. Derek returned my calls promptly. Emails from office manager also prompt. Crew was on time, professional and efficient.

There was a small difficulty in getting an authorization to them. I faxed the authorization to them 3 times, but they said they never got it. Nontheless, they agreed to come and do the work for the stated price. They arrived an hour earlier than they said they would. All work was well done.

I didn't think the size of the tree warranted the service fee they charged based on my previous experience with them, but they do an excellent job and on both occasions I have contracted with them, they have carried out the service we discussed, including hauling the debris to the curb for pick up, as agreed. Every person I spoke to at the company was polite and efficient. The tree service itself went seamlessly. However, they advertise a senior discount, but I guess you have to ask for it. And I recommended their service to a co-worker who used them the same week. I will need to call them in the future for another problem tree and will post again at that time.

The best word to describe my experience with Lumberjack Tree Service is ?excellent? and that?s in every way. I looked into several respectable and well known tree services in the DFW area, including Dallas Tree Surgeons and Lumberjack Tree Service but Lumberjack was the easy choice. When Derek showed up from Lumberjack to do the estimate I was impressed with a few things. He was respectful, thorough and knowledgeable. Any and all questions were answered and I was given detailed explanations. Of course a detailed estimate will only go so far. The price was the biggest surprise of all. Lumberjack Tree Service was a significantly cheaper than the competition. The work was nothing short of perfect. I have a huge pecan tree along with large red oaks. The descriptions given during the estimate were followed to the letter, including instructions for the crew to have me approve a couple of areas that I was extra picky about. The canopies were raised and overhanging limbs were removed. The trees looked beautiful and healthy and the shade I?ve grown to love was still intact. After the trimming was done the crew cleaned the yard up and stacked it all by the curb for city pickup just as we had agreed. I can?t think of one complaint about Lumberjack Tree Service. I expected great quality but at a much more expensive price. I have already recommended them to friends and family.

From the first phone call, to the estimate, to their followup phone call to schedule, to the actual work done - these guys are pros. On time, solid work, very professional. And they cleaned up after themselves. I'm a picky Virgo, and they made me very happy. This is the second time I have used their services - but not the last. Great company to work with.

Nathan from Lumberjack Tree Service came out and gave me an estimate for a tree removal and stump grind of a large Bradford pear tree. Nathan was very prompt and professional. He explained the whole process to me along with a very competitive price. When I explained to Nathan that another tree service offered a lower price, he was willing to match the price. On the day of the tree removal two gentlemen showed up on time and quickly cut down and trimmed the tree. The tree parts were place in the front of my house, where I instructed them to place the tree for the city to remove later, and they explained to me that someone else would be by later to grind the stump. A few days later another gentleman came by and did a complete stump grind. He was very helpful and explained the entire process to me, along with a lesson in root growth and how the tree remains would die off. He did a wonderful job, and raked and swept all the wood chip waste from my walkway and sidewalk. Overall the employees with Lumberjack were all very prompt and did a very professional job. I would recommend their service and I plan to use them again.

Lumberjack Tree Service was one of the few companies that I called that actually answered the phone instead of leaving a message and waiting for a return call. The secretary seemed very organized and friendly, took down my information and said an estimator would call me back once he had my info. Nathan called me within minutes to schedule a time directly with me. He was on time and seemed to know what he was talking about. I choose them to do the work because they seemed so professional. I was not able to be there, but it appeared that the work went very smooth and looked great. All the debri was stacked neatly by the curb for the city pick up. The next day I even got a follow up call to make sure I was pleased with the job. Lumberjack provided great customer service and I would recommend them to my family and friends.

They were prompt in coming out to give an estimate,and they e-mailed the next day with a detailed write-up of the work they would do (as well as the cost per tree). After receiving the estimate, I scheduled a time the next week for the crew to come out. The crew was prompt, professional and did a thorough job of cleaning up the yard after trimming all of the trees. We were very happy with the work they completed.

I had three trees in my yard that needed trimming and one large pine tree that needed to be removed before it would cause damage to my home and I was not about to attempt this myself. I did my homework and got several bids to complete the work. I chose this company for the main fact of, when they came out to give me a bid, they were very punctual, professional, and the pricing was very reasonable. Even after I voiced my concern about the pine tree and did not want any damage to my house or my neighbors when it was taken down. They took the time to explain exactly how they would take the tree down and put me at ease about the work to be completed. When the day of the appointment for the work to be done the crew was on time and very courteous, once everything was done you could hardly tell that anything was done, everything was cleaned up and cleared as promised. I will be using them again and recommending them to my friends and neighbors.

The same day he gave me the quote, I went to school to do some extra work. When I got home that night after 9:00 PM, I had a message from him that he was sending people out that day to cut the branches off. I went outside to see the work, and all 4 - 40 year old trees were cut to the ground. I called his company, and his mother answered, who worked for him. She said he would make good on them. I talked briefly to him, and he said he would look for replacements. At first he said he couldn't get trees that big, and I said I expected comparable trees for replacements. After this, he would not call me back. I finally told him I would report him if he didn't take care of it, and he sent 2 men to come look. That was in the winter. They sent they couldn't plant during the winter. Since then I tried to talk to him again, and finally got him. He said he would call me back and hasn't. I called again, and his secy said he'd call me back. He hasn't. I live on a corner, and those trees were my shade, protection, and resale assets. He has done nothing to replace them. I would not trust hin to do any kind of work, because he can't be trusted to do the work correctly and, if not, to fix it.

The results of the job were just what I needed. All the work was done quickly and cleanly, and the debris was cut up and placed at the curb where it could be picked up by the city. I was given the choice of having Lumberjack haul the trimmings away, but I elected to have the trimmings placed at the curb. I would definitely call them again if I need their services.

I phoned Lumberjack for a quote. They sent a person out within two days. The quote was $400 less the Angie's List discount of $40. The crew arrived at 9:50 a.m. Friday morning and had finished removing limbs and trimming other limbs and carrying the debris to the alley for pick-up by the city by 11:20. They spent 90 minutes on the job. I could tell the trimmer knew what he was doing, as we have lived on this creek lot for 25 years and have used a number of different tree cutters in that time.

We have a couple of trees that grow very quickly during the summer and tend to overtake the house. Having a few bad experiences with tree trimmers, I turned to Angie's List for help finding a good company. Lumberjack really did a great job from start to finish. I had requested that the limbs be stacked in the back for city pick-up. They were so neatly stacked against my fence that I didn't notice them for a couple of days. I thought that Lumberjack had mistakenly taken the trimmings with them when they left. I highly recommend these folks.
