The new evap. coil is 10" taller than my old one, so when installing the plenum, it hit a roof rafter. Instead of correcting the height of the plenum they just used brackets to hold it to the new unit and one side they had to use insulation to fill in the gap then they taped it off. It does not leak any cool air but I'm no a/c repairman to see this is not done correctly. This was modifying the plenum for $250. Then on Sunday morning( they came Friday) we got up to go to church and my wife came into the bathroom to tell me our ceiling is leaking water. I went up to the attic and the drain pipe came lose. When they installed the new drain line on the new unit they didn't check their work, if they had they would have noticed the drain line came lose. This line should have been glued when we had the house built 12 years ago. Now they say they didn't cause the leak ( they moved the drain line when they had to cut it to hook it up to the new unit this caused it to come lose.) and we have to get a lawyer to sue them for repairs. They are the only ones that have handled our a/c unit since we bought the house new. Never had a leak until a few days after they did the repair. We would not recommend them to anyone.
Description of Work: They replaced my a/c evaporator coil in my attic.

They said that because the new unit was a different size they had to modify my old plenum to fit Well the modification cost $250. The modification they did was not professional at all. My old evaporator unit was smaller than the new evaporator unit so they used some make shift brackets to hold the old plenum in place on one side. On the other side of the plenum was a gap(because it was smaller) so they put a piece of installation in the gap and sealed it. No only did the plenum not fit at the base the top of the plenum hit a roof rafter so it was install with a tilt. My old evaporator unit was 21" tall and the new one is 31" tall this caused the plenum to hit a roof rafter. I've seen enough on TV and the internet and from reading to know that this is not the right way to install the plenum. The plenum should have been cut at the bottom so it wouldn't hit the roof rafter or replaced. Heck I paid $250 for modifications. They showed up on time, cleaned up and yes they got my a/c working again. When I called about the modification price they said that because of the different in size's the had to modify the plenum to fit the evaporator unit. Maybe my definition of modification is different from theirs, I was always taught to do a job the right way and you should have no problems. I also had a Flow switch installed on the new evaporator, well did anybody explain exactly how it works or what should I do if my a/c stops working, NO. So sorry Lumart HVAC Enineering I will never have you back to my house.

He was a few minutes late, but it's hard to set a definite time when doing repair. The service mans name was Jesus (hope I spelled it right). He checked out my system for any leaks with a leak detector and found nothing. Jesus explained to me exactly what he was doing and why. He explained my system was very low on Freon. He recharged my system and it works like new. I would recommend this company to anyone. If Jesus continues like he is he should have a good future working in the HVAC business.
