Technician was polite and quick. Was onsite less than one hour including installation and charged $135 for labor after I had been told a different price by person scheduling the appointment. Would not explain the reason except that it was a standard charge. Parts are also over-priced.

The repair man was very nice and professional. He determined the ice maker unit had burned out. We were impressed that he had the correct replacement unit in his truck. He installed the new unit and was gone in less than an hour. He provided very good service. We will use this company again.

A horrible runaround.

I recently had my Vinking Oven Go out due to a power surge, I was very worried about what had happened because I could smell something had burned. Luckily, I had Lonestar come out with same day service. They were able to tell exactly what was wrong and the options I had towards repairing it. I had my oven up and running the same day. My son?s birthday was coming up and I was worried I wouldn?t have my oven working in time.

NO WORK PERFORMED!!!!

After intial scheduling for repair of a non-functioning dishwasher, they called two days early and said they had a tech in the area and were available to come early if I wanted, I said yes. Omar arrived, assessed the situation, told me what he thought would most likely be the cause of the dishwasher issue after fixing one problem quickly. Not scheduled but I remembered the problem with my clothes washer and he analyzed that as well. He ordered parts and we kept or original appt. date for two days later. Omar returned with parts and fixed both. The dishwasher was a lot more work than anticipated but they did not charge any more for the extra work. I could not be happier with Omar and my experience with the company and would recommend them to any friends.

Show up and did work as quoted. Was clean and professional.

They came out to the house and it required that they order a part. One of the parts they ordered was wrong so they couldn't do the job. I never followed up with them to fix what I wanted fixed. They didn't charge me anything. They could have done the job if they'd had the right parts. I think he relied on his wife to get the parts ordered and it didn't get done. There could be some room for confusion because the freezer has 3 doors. It has 2 French doors and a door at the bottom. I needed 2 French door parts. They could have at least followed up. I probably wouldn’t call them back at this point because I was expecting them to call me back. They must be too busy for the work.

Charles was wonderful. I was able to reach him immediately. We set a time for the next morning. Charles called when he was on his way and arrived on time. He was able to diagnose and fix our ice machine in about 45 minutes and his price was very reasonable. He explained the repairs and how the ice machine differed from the previous model. The one year warranty was an added bonus. I would definitely recommend Charles to a friend and would not hesitate to call him again.

TERRIBLE.

It was a great experience working with Charles. He was prompt and professional. After ordering the parts for my stove and dishwasher he was back in touch within a couple of days. He came, did the repairs in a very efficient manner. I will definitely use him again.

My son and I were impressed. We will definitely call him again for large appliance repair.

Charles did a great job. He arrived on time and worked quickly to diagnose and repair the problem. He offered suggestions on how to control the mold problem common on this washer. We will definitely use him again for other appliance repairs.

I joined Angie's List to tell this story: our fridge stopped working and began to leak water. All our food inside the fridge and freezer was at risk and we needed help pronto. I called the store where we bought the thing (2004). They gave us an appointment...in 4 days. Not helpful. So I surfed the web and made a bunch of calls until Charles with Lone Star answered. It was Saturday and I explained our situation. He owns and operates this small company and explained he had no one available to work that day (it was already 3 pm); when I told him what dire straights we were in, he offered to come out on Sunday (the very next day) at 11 am! True to his word, he arrived on time, was super nice, knew right away what the problem was, explained it to me and had it fixed and working within 20 minutes. I cannot say enough about how great he was and how helpful he was. I paid the $25 to join Angie's to tell this story and hopefully send more business his way!
