Lawn Love Lawn Care

Lawn Love was a disaster for me! This service lived up to NONE of their promises. I gave them four chances. I'm at home during the day, and I wanted to direct and supervise their calls until I was satisfied I could trust them. The first "lawn pro" and I walked through the property to discuss our needs. Although they promise you'll have the same person every time, I never saw that guy again. Apparently, none of what I told him was conveyed to the following providers. Nor was my direction for them NOT TO START without me, and I had arranged to be home on the days scheduled. That was never done, and on all the calls after the first, their people arrived and just started in without my direction and supervision, even though I was home--I didn't hear them start because I'm at the back of the house. They didn't call or ring the doorbell. Also, their second guy blew leaves from one area to another, and would not collect and remove them. A call to headquarters yielded an offer to make that a special service call but wanted more for it than for the whole yard. It seemed they put us at the end of their schedule. I had to wait all day, and could not get any assurance they were coming. But they couldn't tell me if they still might come until 8 p.m. So they bumped us twice to the next or the second day, again with no ETA. On the last call, their guy went into front garden beds (where I had explicitly told their office not to go) and cut down anything that wasn't flowering. As many as 20 plants were cut down, including an emerging peony. A groundcover of periwinkle was chewed right down to the dirt. The only compensation they would give was a refund for that and one other call: $74.

Service started fine but after a month they quit showing up on time. One time they forgot completely. Now I have been rescheduled twice with no explanation and have to find someone else. Avoid at all costs.

The guy was nice and also included a fertilizer with weed control. However I was disappointed the way they applied it. He had a hand held spreader and with the wind at the time it didn't do much. It didn't look very professional.

They came out a day early. I guess that's okay. The work itself looked like that from a 15 year old who does lawn work over the summer. They did not put down any weed and feed. To top it off, they broke a raised sprinkler head behind the hedges and didn't say anything. How did I know it was them? Because I had a sprinkler company come out the day before and they aligned and repaired the sprinkler system. The work is horrible. Find another company. They haven't returned my calls. I'll be doing a chargeback on my credit card.

This company contacts other lawn maintenance companies to do work. Communication, back office, and billing functions are excellent. However, actual quality of the lawn service is poor. For the 3 months they have been under contract, leaves accumulated on our front and back-yard. Our shrubs are not trimmed properly. It started getting embarrassing with our neighbors.

back drive area already raked and piled. the reason that the work was not done was due to rep coming out to house and re-quoted the amount to $200 from $107. We refused double the amount, no other work was needed, just clean up. the women i spoke with in office were both polite and professional (and the only reason there is a fair prof rating, they were nice).. the rep that came to the house called at 652am and woke us up and then tried to argue the price when he called back, i told him we refused new price and advised Lawn Love that calling at that time was unacceptable. The company had also rescheduled us a day later than agreed and sent email to advise. to sum up, day late, double qoute and call at 652am and still have a leaf covered yard.

Not good. In emails I specified the square footage of my first floor, how many beds there were and that they surrounded 2/3 of the house. An aerial view of my house with lines drawn around it to represent the flower beds was emailed to me to confirm and the price quoted was confirmed. When the crew came out, the foreman said he would need to charge more. I told him I had drawings of the areas confirmed via email and he said he did not care. He called to have me requoted. I told him and Lawn Love I was not interested in paying more than what was agreed upon and the crew left. Customers need to be warned the crew will likely want to upcharge to complete the work agreed upon.
