How did it go? They accepted a job with no intentions of providing and insstalling a new blower, as diagnosed, and left me with no air conditioning for six days in 105 degrees, leading me over and over again to believe they were looking for a new motor for me. They could have ordered the new motor immdiately. THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH REGARDING THEIR UNPROFESSIONALISM, LACK OF FOLLOW THROUGH, AND OUT RIGHT LIES TO THE CUSTOMER. The moment the job became bigger, these American Home Shield sub-contractors merely drop you in the middle of a job because they are not going to get paid enough by American Home Shield to cover their costs (American Home Shield then wanted to pay me $66.00 to cover the cost of a new motor and a three hour installation). It actually cost $600 out of my own pocket, even though this was covered under my warranty. Sincy KOZY SERVICES just didn't show up or call me back today and told American Home Shield "we don't work on air condnitioning blowers" I have been left since last Friday with no air conditioning, though they said they were "looking for a motor" for three days.DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY REASON. - i CAN ASSURE YOU, THEY WILL PROMISE ONE THING AND JUST MAKE THINGS WORSE.
Description of Work: This was the third company sent to my new condo after the previous company burned out the blower motor on my air handler but refused to replace the motor and transferred my warranty contract service to this provider, Kozy Services. On Friday, June 22, 2012 I telephoned Star Home Comfort to tell them my blower motor had burned out and my air conditioner was not working after they had worked on it two days before. On Saturday, June 23, I was told that Star Home Comfort had transferred the issue to KOZY SERVICES It was suppose to be an "emergency" - it was 103 degrees in Dallas, Texas, I have a form of MS, and the problem had already been diagnosed. I waited 24 hours until the next day Julio showed up from Kozy Services and diagnosed that I needed a new blower motor - he wrote down the specs, took the model number serial number and said he would mark this as a priority as it was 93 degrees inside my condo. I called Kozy on Monday morning and was told by Stephannie that my motor would be replace at (9:00 a.m. the next day - Tuesday. On Monday night, I got a telephone call at 6:30 from Rick, the parts manager, saying he had been unable to locate a motor, he would call me in the morning as soon as he found one. I waited all day Tuesday in the heat and heard nothing from the company. I had my old air conditioning mechanic come out to rig a little air stream by fans running over the chiller pipes, to get the temp down to 88 and protect my cat.My air conditioning friend called Rick, the parts manager,, and told him the specs again of the motor and told him he could get one at Tolberts Electric here in Dallas, and that it was available - he had checked. I then talked to Rick, and said, that at this point, if he could not get a motor after two days, then it only made sense to replace the entire air handler. He said he would get one from Tolbert's, he just hadn't known the specs so he wanted to pull my motor out, and would install it on Wednesday, June 27. At this point I had been 5 days without air conditiioning and the temp was now 105 outside. I told Rick I was going to a hotel, with my cell phone and to update me. To please call me first thing after he had confirmed getting a air handler with American Home Shield and get back to me. I heard nothing again. At 10:00 on Wednesday I spoke to Stephanie again, who hung up on me, and then Debbie, the Supervisor called me (I had spoken to her the day before and she said if my air conditioning guy could locate a motor to have him call them - which I did) and she told me that they were not going to get a new motor and if I didn't agree to have them rip out my old motor and re-build it, or so they could use it as a prototype to find a "used" motor, they would not fix my air conditioning. I wasted 6 days of my life, had my health impacted, was promised a new motor and an appointment scheduled without their even having a motor to install though their own mechanic, Julio, had said this was a very simple blower motor and system with only three parts. The worst part was no one ever calling me back and the lie after lie I was told by Rick, Debbie, Katrina, and Stephanie. They were so unprofessional and had no interest in getting my air conditioning fixed, or cared that I was without air conditioning for six days. Motors were available everywhere - these people want to collect their small fees from American Home Shield under my contract, but when it is something more major, they lie that there are "no motors available to purchase or order" over a three day period and then drop you as a customer because they won't get paid enough for a bigger job from American Home Shield. This is WITHOUT A DOUBT THE WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH --THEY CANNOT BE RELIED UPON, THEY DON'T KEEP THEIR WORD, AND THEY OUTRIGHT LIE TO THE CUSTOMER --nO FOLLOW THROUGH, NO UP DATES,AND UNETHICAL IN THEIR PRACTICES.
