+ -1 moreI was pleased with his knowledge and his incredibly low price for the time he was at my house. I requested an estimate for redoing the pigtailing, and with the time entailed, the price seems reasonable enough. When he's through with his next job, he will do the pigtailing, so it will be up to code.
Description of Work: I had issues with the kitchen lights working erratically, hall light not working at all, and a closet light socket needing replacement. He suggested all new fluorescent bulbs for the kitchen and replaced the closet socket, which my son purchased while we waited. Apparently, the hall light worked with different bulbs, even though I had tried different bulbs. He suggested buying better quality, but lower-wattage, bulbs from Lights Fantastic, which actually offers cheaper bulbs. I was using too high a wattage for the sockets. After checking the switches servicing the hall and kitchen, he found problems with the wiring that was supposedly redone when the house was bought sixteen years ago. I showed him the receipt for the pigtailing, but the actual work indicated improper wiring that could eventually lead to a fire.

+ -1 moreThey did charge us for the quote which is great. The price that he quoted us is pretty good. He also offered some alternatives for the work that we need done which the other companies did not do.
Description of Work: Kirkwood Electric did a quote for replacing some light fixtures in our kitchen, adding some under mount lighting in the kitchen, and replacing some breakers in our electrical box.
