The Sales People we had were wonderful through the whole process of building our home. The issue is how poorly some of the workmanship is holding up. We have been having issues with not being able to open the microwave door. That would still be an issue if it weren't for the fact that today, the microwave completely burnt up. Unbelievable! The master bathroom shower is leaking. We first started to notice the problem when the base board separated from the wall. Water is leaking into the wall and down to the trim. I contacted the warranty dept because there absolutely should not be any water leakage in a home that is just over a year old. Naturally, the warranty dept would not help us. A very nice Sales person from Innovation stopped by to see the water damage. It was suggested we re-grout the shower. BE SURE TO GET AN EXTENDED HOME WARRANTY. The front door stain/varnish is flaking off. This has caused the wood to splinter and decay. We are so very disappointed.
Description of Work: Innovation Builders also builds homes in the NRH, Keller , Texas area. They built us a custom home. We don't have any complaints about the Sales people that helped us through the process. They were very helpful and professional from beginning to end. The problems we are having is with the lack of quality of various items.

During the build out of the home, the sales representative was very dis-organized and unprofessional in dealing with us. We lived 5 hours away at the time we decided to build, and for our second appointment, the representative failed to arrive at our meeting. She told us that she forgot about it, and was on the other side of the city. Also, during the initial walk through, in which we were determining if we would be using Innovation, we were told that Bermuda grass was the only type of sod allowed by the neighborhood's HOA. Afterwards, we inquired on pre-wiring our own low-voltage throughout the home. We were told that the owner would have to get back with us. After many communications to our sales representative, we were finally told that we could come up and pre-wire our low-voltage after the pre-drywall inspection was complete. During the pre-drywall meeting, we told the builder that we would be coming in over the weekend to pre-wire. The builder had no clue that we would be coming in, and after speaking with our sales representative, we were told that she never got approval from the owner; however, for us to do it anyway without saying anything. Then, we arrive at closing date. We perform our pre-closing meeting and inspection with the builder to discuss any problems prior to closing. Only three things were noted on pre-closing. One was a side board missing from the garage moulding, one was a hand-hold from the t-pole that needed to be filled and sodded around, and finally we had concerns over the roof since it had a "hump" in it. However, since these were the only issues, we decided to trust the company in completing the two minor things, only after hearing that our roof was ok since it was a shingle issue. We were told that the hump was just shingles raised up, but would settle with time and heat. This gave us the informed decision to proceed with closing. Three days after moving in, we had a major flood from upstairs to downstairs from our laundry room. The initial plumber that came out, first blamed us for improperly installing the washer. After further investigation, he actually noticed that the access drain pipe had been broken during the build out. Two months into living in the home, we still did not have our hand-hole filled with dirt and sodded over. This hole is approximately 2 feet deep by 1 foot in diameter, which is a hazard to any of the kids playing near our home. If someone would have fell and got hurt, we would have been the ones being sued. Only after daily reminders sent to the warranty department, we were told that they could not fill the hole because the electric company would have to move the box up to level with the yard. This process was never explained to us at pre-closing, or in any of the 3 emails that were sent out prior to our daily calls. In fact, we were told at pre-closing that the landscapers would come by and fill the hole over the weekend that we were closing. Now, four months into living in the home, a second flood has happened. This time the initial flood was in nobody's fault, as our discharge hose cracked. With that being said, the water did not recede into the drain pipe located directly below the washer because the pan was broken. The drain pipe itself was actually cut during the buildout which never allowed the pan to be attached to the pipe. This allowed water to be dispersed in the plenum area between the first and second story, which water was coming out of our dining room light fixture, and also our kitchen pantry was again flooded. In their defense, they said that we had broke the pan, and cut the pipe ourself when we placed the washer on top of the pan. I do not know many people that build a brand new house just to destroy it by cutting plumbing pipes; however, this is something we do not make a habit of doing. Finally, on July 4th, my wife, 2 friends, and myself crawled out onto our roof to watch the fireworks over Joe Pool Lake. Much to my surprise we found a major weakspot just outside the window, the "hump" was solid as a rock, and found another weakspot on the far end of the roof. The roofer came out to access it, and told us that there is a decking issue and to contact the builder. In closing, this company has deceived us from the beginning, and provided us with false information with regards to a major issue, our roof. We never would have closed on this house if we would have known there was a problem with the roof that required a major fix. Also, in the beginning I mentioned the Bermuda grass being the only allowable sod in the neighborhood. It is to our findings that other homes were sodded with various types, and that as long as the city allows it, then it can be planted. So, again, just another lie added to the long list. If you are currently building a home with Innovation or considering it, please be very careful in your decision. I would also advise that you inspect every inch of the home during every phase. This is the worst I have ever been treated by any company.
Description of Work: We selected Innovation Builders and trusted them in building our next home. This process was started in September of 2011, and we closed on our home in February of 2012. We chose them because they had the best price per square foot; however, we now know why it is so much cheaper. We made the biggest mistake of our life in choosing Innovation Builders.
