I sent a message through Angie's List with a photo of the part of the ceiling that needed to be fixed, and Chris sent me a message to call him. I called the next morning, and he told me the rate was $60/hour. He asked when I wanted to get the work done, and I suggested early the following week, but he said his partner, Dan, would be in my area later that morning. He called Dan to see what time he could be there, then called me back with a time. I met Dan at my house, showed him the problem and he gave me an estimate of 2-3 hours. He took his shoes off to walk on my carpet and was very careful about using plastic sheeting to protect my carpet and furniture. It took about 2.5 hours, and he explained what he had done to fix it. He suggested waiting at least 24 hours before painting to make sure the area was completely dry. The ceiling is now dry, and you can't tell that it was ever damaged. I would definitely use this company again.

Mr. Golden did an excellent job. The work was perfect. Some of the drywall cracks required some wood framing or fiberglass substructure to hold the patches securely over time; all done to perfect detail. There was a 3x3 ft furrdown that needed to be removed and its large hole patched; perfectly done. Easy guy to work with. Plain spoken and honest, hard working guy.

Everything went really well and I've got some more work and will definitely be using him for that.

Chris Golden came out when he said and he was on time! He did an incredible job! A real miracle worker. And he was so patient with my 1 1/2 year old son following him around. I plan on referring him to everyone I know and using him for all our projects! A++++

Chris was very prompt about returning my calls to set up an appointment for the repairs. when he did come out he was very professional in the work that he did. He repaired the wall the plumbers had torn up to replace broken pipes. He not only repaired the damage the plumbers made, but replaced the drywall, and textured it matching the pattern perfect. He painted the walls again matching the paint. He was very good and completely cleaned up any mess he made. He made sure to keep any dust and mess contained to the area he was only working in. He stayed on the job and completed it well with in the time frame he said it would take. It was a great job and I was well please with his work. I will be using him again in the future if need arises.

I called Chris back in December about this job, and it took a couple of weeks (due to the holidays) for us to set a date for the work to begin, but I wasn't in any hurry. Chris informed me that he would send Dan to look at the job and start work on the same day. This turned out to be a 2 1/2 day project with 12 hours of billed work. Dan showed up on time every day and worked diligently with no breaks. He took the time to show and explain the work that he was doing and the steps needed to care for the walls once they dried. Sanding joint compound can be very dusty business, but Dan sealed the doors of the bathroom when sanding and cleaned up the work area completely every day. We never had any dust in our adjacent bedroom! Padding was placed on our flooring from the front door to the bathroom work area to prevent dust and any joint compound from escaping, which was very thoughtful. Dan was meticulous and clean. He made every effort to minimize his impact on our daily routines. The quality of the work performed was exceptional and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Drywall Repair Specialists. Dan is a true professional and an expert craftsman.

We had a ceiling crack that needed to be repaired. Called the company and an appointment was scheduled for an estimate to be completed. Dan Golden arrived promptly at the scheduled time. He assessed the ceiling crack and also completed a general assessment of the drywall in the other areas of the home. He provided detailed options and estimates for repair. A date was then scheduled to complete the work. On the scheduled day and time, Dan arrived promptly. He made sure that the work area was protected and secure. He completed the repair on the ceiling in an efficient and timely manner, then made sure that everything was cleaned up. Once the job was completed, it looked like new. Everything was excellent. Dan was very courteous and professional. The final cost was less than originally estimated. I would highly recommend Dan and Drywall Repair Specialists.

I've worked with both Don and Chris on several occasions as we've remodelled various parts of the house over the last 2 years, from floating a ceiling for an entire room to doing various smaller jobs. They do great work, are concerned with quality, and are easy to work with. Never a problem with anything they've done. I would highly recommend them.

Don called and said he was on the way to the house as there was not an time set for him to be there on the first day he was to come here after finishing another job. Don got to the house and looked at work to be done we discussed a few details and he went right to work. it Took 3 trips to complete the project as it was not a patch job per-say but a small project. Don did every thing he said he would and on time. It was a tricky job and had to match existing texture. I turned out perfect no one will ever know there was a wall there as all matches so well. I would recommend them to anyone to do tape and bed work new or patching holes. Im sure I will be using them in the future. Dennis

Excellent job all around. The work was done on schedule and at the low end of the estimate he gave me. Chris repaired two damaged drywall sections (each about 2X2). The area also had to have a textured finish feathered into to the undamaged areas. Bottom line is I can't even tell where the damage was and it looks good as new. Chris also did the painting of the area by finding the paint in the attic and I did not expect him to do that. Was very pleased with his responsiveness and the quality of the work was excellent. Will certainly use Chris again for any drywall repair work.

The broken ceiling required repair. Chris cut out the broken section and replaced it with a new patch. He has most of the items needed for the repair in stock with him. The entire work was done with clock work precision. You know he has done this type of work a 'thousand times'. The challenging part is after the patch is fixed, the application of the paint and finishing. Luckily we had a can of matching paint. Chris first tested the paint and dried it before actually applying it on the 'new' and 'repaired' surface. He has all the required equipments to do the job. A thorough professional and a gentlemen. Chris also offered to come back and fix stuff on a second visit, if we were unhappy. The entire job including painting and cleanup took around 3 hours. I would gladly call Chris again for any future Drywall Repair work.

Chris showed up to repair a 2ft hole in my cieling. I have never seen such a amazing patch job. it looks like it never happen! He was professional courteous and a master of his trade. I will hire him again.

Called Chris at 11:30 am and asked to set up an appointment. He was just finishing up work in my area and said he could be here after lunch. He was here at 2 pm and got the work done in a very timely fashion. Charged me less than the original quote. Very professional and did not leave a mess. Definitely recommend!

I had a large hole in my hallway ceiling from a leaking A/C condensation pipe. I called Drywall Repair Specialists based on the large number of positive reviews on AL. I described the nature of the damage and Chris was able to give me a general estimate of repair costs. Actual costs came in less. He was easy to schedule and showed up on time. He spent about three and half hours on the job. His work was superior, I can't tell the new drywall and texture from the old. I can highly recommend his work.

The gentleman who answered was rude and standoffish. Called to schedule an estimate and was told they are too busy to give estimates! He said he charges $60 an hour. I said OK!?!?! Well can I schedule someone to come out. He then told me he would have to take my name and number and put me on a call back list....WOW! Must be nice to do business this way. I ended up saying no thanks! I'll call someone who actually wants to do business and can show some level of customer service!

Chris had someone out that afternoon. Drywall had to be installed where the cabinet installer had cut out the tile or torn up the back splash. Then, he smoothed the area with joint compound. Chris also came by to see how it was going. It work looks good and I now can have my vanity counter top and back splash completed. I definitely will use this company for future projects.

Chris -- the ultimate perfectionist -- repaired a water damaged ceiling in one of our upstairs bathrooms. As usual, his work is beyond excellent. He is a very professional and personable young man and most respectful of your property. I love, love, love Chris!

Chris did an outstanding job repairing some problem cracks in our 22' ceiling. An area had pulled apart and started to sag due to not being secured properly. The location of the damage also presented a challenge. It was over our foyer and above a bridge going to the upstairs hallway and bedrooms and with the wall, stairs and banister in the way; the use of scaffolding was questionable. Chris sounded rightfully concerned about that and whether he needed scaffolding or not so I sent him some photographs of the damage as well as the work area so he could make a judgment call on his equipment needs. After seeing the photos he decided that a ladder might be fine so we discussed when he would be able to come over to do the work. As it turned out, he was able to use an 8' ladder to do all the work. Chris is very professional, knowledgeable and courteous. He went above and beyond. While working he noticed that the area had been repaired so many times over the years that there was a buildup of texturing. He stripped it all down to the bare drywall, installed screws where the nails had pulled apart from the framing, repaired all the cracks, re-textured and painted. He cleaned up when he was done and we paid him for his incredible work. We are very happy with the result. It's like the cracks never happened. We read all the reviews before hiring him, and knew that we might need to wait until his calendar got freed up. Chris was well worth the wait (and we didn't really have to wait that long). A little patience and grace go a long way toward getting some top notch work done at a fair price. We will definitely hire him again if the need arises. Thanks Again, Chris!! Well Done!!

Spoke to Chris and had to delay about a week because it was hard to match up my work schedule with his service schedule, but that's the way it goes sometimes with a small business. I also didn't mind, because I find that hiring small businesses often means I'm dealing directly with the owner. I was super glad I delayed a few days rather than calling a larger company that maybe could have gotten to me a few days earlier; Dan (Chris' partner) came out this morning and did a fabulous job for a more-than-fair price. I have an old popcorn textured ceiling, and I was really dubious that any new work would really blend in, and the area of the kitchen ceiling needing repair has over-counter lighting that accentuates everything. But Dan matched it perfectly--in fact, it looks a bit better than before I ever had the leak in the ceiling, because he also repaired an existing issue with the taping in the same area. Would highly recommend this company and will call them again if another need arises.

This is the text I received from Chris regarding my review. Very unprofessional. My first phone call to him was on Sept 6. I waited a month to schedule work with him because of his reviews, so I was not requesting that everything be dropped and I did not threaten to write a bad review if they did not come over immediately. I told Dan I was going to write a bad review, and I did, due to the unprofessional behavior and rudeness. This was not a threat and I did not bully two grown men. Sad.

Dan, Chris' coworker, was thorough and efficient. He cleaned up everything and did a great job retexturing the drywall. Will absolutely use again.

The reason Chris has so many great reviews is because he deserves them. We always use Angie's List because we are rarely disappointed and this time was no exception. We had an especially difficult job because the damaged area was on a high ceiling, in a corner, over a soffit that was over a vanity. This was very hard to access and Chris had to make more that one trip for equipment to handle it. Once he was able get to a working position he repaired our damage magnificently! We cannot tell where the repair was ever made. Chris also repaired a couple of other cracks and a nail pop at no extra charge. While he was here and waiting for the bedding to dry he even replaced 2 smoke alarm batteries in 2 other rooms with 10 foot ceilings. Chris always took his shoes off when walking through our house and completely cleaned and vacuumed the work area when finished. A word about estimates, Chris does not normally come out and give a free estimate because he has been in this business long enough that he can pretty well tell you over the phone what the price range will be. A free estimate takes a lot of time and every one would have to pay for that in higher fees for his service. I can tell you he is very, very fair, very reasonable and does 1st class work so don't worry about being overcharged. His reputation and reviews speak for themselves.. I don't think you could go wrong using Drywall Repair Specialists. I would use him again in a heartbeat.
