Description of Work: Checked washing machine for leak. Determined it might have been an overflow from the hose. Cleaned coils and mechanism on Sub Zero freezer drawers and refrigerator. Replaced gasket on GE wine cooler. Is ordering new ice maker for freezer.

Description of Work: I had a refrigerator door that needed replacing.and I brought it to him. He could not fix the repair because the door didn't have the necessary wiring required. I gave him $35 for his trouble and would definitely use him again.

Description of Work: glenn townsend arrived on time. he was very abrupt, almost rude. was there to fix my dryer. it was a tripped breaker. I called my husband and I was able to fix the problem. Mr Townsend asked me to help him move the dryer out because he was getting old.

Description of Work: Our washer wouldn't spin or drain in the spin cycle. We looked online and saw several things that could be causing the problem. I looked on Angie's List and found that Glenn Townsend had an excellent rating. So I gave them a call. They came out the next day, exactly when they said they would, and quickly got our machine working again.

Description of Work: Dispatched them to repair a seventeen year old Frigidaire refrigerator I did not want to lose. This unit was physically in pristine condition. | |Unit began experiencing difficulties with cooling. Glenn's Appliance said it was because the coils were dirty, which the son brushed off with a brush unit. The son also replaced the ice maker. However, this tall giant of a man, set the old ice maker on top of the unit's double doors, which he apparently forgot about when he later opened both doors to gain a last view. When he did this, the old ice maker came crashing down such it damaged the refrigerated interior side of the unit with a significant indentation cracking/breaking the plastic where cold air continuously escapes. He acted as though this was nothing, charged $125.00 and left. I called his father, the owner, who told me to caulk the cracked section of the inner-lining as if this was the best that could be done. | |The unit continued experiencing cooling difficulties because it was the DEFROST MECHANISM on the freezer side that needed to be replaced. I called someone else who immediately discovered this issue when he scooped up what appeared to be chopped ice on the floor of the left freezer side of the unit. Glenn's Appliance did not have a clue as to where to trouble-shoot. So, for $100.00, the part was procured and installed...machine been working like brand new ever since; except for the cracked inner-lining (mold) on the refrigerated side which causes the unit to run longer and consume more electricity to maintain temperature. | |GLENN'S APPLIANCE WILL NEVER BE USED BY MY HOUSEHOLD AGAIN. These types of businesses give the honest, qualified independent businesses a negative association. $125.00 to simply change out the ice maker for I'd already procured, and to brush coils. Phooey.

Description of Work: Had problem converting 22 yr old maytag propane dryer to natural gas. Unable to get natural gas orfice due to age of appliance. Had one company that came out found on internet worthless. Used angieslist and found Glenn. He sent his son out same day within 1.5 hours and he took care of the problem. Would recommend and use again in future.

Description of Work: The day we called, Glenn diagnosed the problem with our refrigerator door over the phone, then researched the part we needed. (it was an older model.) He told us the part was expensive, but he had discovered that he might be able to make an adjustment on the existing part to fix the door. He arrived promptly the next day (we live quite a distance from him) and after a couple of attempts he was able to adjust the door. He also blew out the coils under our refrigerator, patiently waiting for us to cover the countertops with sheets to minimize the mess. He also looked at our gas stove, explaining how to clean the burners. We were very impressed with Glenn, and have filed his contact info for any future appliance repairs. He is very conscientious, completely honest, very knowledgeable and skilled at what he does. And a very nice man!

Description of Work: I called and left a message. No one called for 2 days. I called again and someone told me that the technician would call me back. Went for 3 days and no one called. Left another message explaining having called 2 times and a tech was supposed to call. Never got a response

Description of Work: My experience went very well. I called Mr. Townsend Sr. on 4/25 and he gave me a preliminary diagnosis of my issue over the phone (leaking/busted water pump). He asked for the make and model of my washer and came out the next day and repaired it promptly. He was friendly and professional and I love that he's very proud of his online reputation and works so hard to maintain it. I will definitely use his services again.

Description of Work: Our Frigidare Electric Double Wall Oven was not heating properly in the upper oven. I got Glenn Townsends business phone from the yellow pages because he is located near my home. He came on a Saturday afternoon and checked out the Oven but could not pinpoint the problem. He was very punctual, seemed knowledgeable and was very friendly. He did not charge me anything saying he did not make any repair. .
