+ -1 moreAfter multiple phone calls complaining about the workmanship, Mr. King came to the site (in September), saw the poor workmanship, and promised to get back to me and redo the work. I never heard from him again, despite multiple attempts to contact him. I had to hire competent immigrants to redo the work that Mr King and his incompetent associates failed to do. Why did i pay him if i was unsatisfied with the work? I don't know - i guess i trusted him to do what was right. I made a $12,000 mistake. The moral of this story is: if you want a skilled and conscientious professional for your window renovations, DON'T HIRE GLASSHOUSE AND TIM KING.
Description of Work: In March 2005, I hired Glasshouse to help me renovate the upper floor of an old office building in downtown Athens. Glasshouse was contracted (invoice # 14909) to replace windows, replace rotted window sills, replace bad brick mold, and wrap sills with aluminum break metal covers. Six months and $12,000 later, the windows were installed, but the sills remained rotted and sill covers (subcontracted by Mr. King) were third-rate at best (the subcontractor hadn't even caulked the sill covers to prevent water from getting into the window frames). Additionally, one of the newly installed windows had cracked across its entire width, i'm guessing due to improper frame support that should have been addressed during installation.
