I had to make a half dozen calls, to finally get them out to my house. When they finally showed up, they were great. They got right to work and got the job done fast. I have recommended them to a friend, because I think their rates were good, but I do not think I would use them again, just because it was such a hassle to get them out to my house.

I thought that the guy was very thorough and he even found a few places that needed to be insulated that we didn't even know about. He answered all of my questions and seemed very knowledgeable about his work and I was impressed by that.

The were very punctual as we called them at 5:30 p.m. one evening and they were here at 7:00 a.m. the next morning. They gave us great information and were very reasonably price. We will be using them again.

He was thorough and made sure he covered every section of the attic. He came on time and worked rather quickly. He was a professional guy and introduced himself when he arrived and carried himself well. I think he did a good job. He knew exactly what to do so we didn't have to explain anything to him.

The technicians arrived at 7:15 a.m. and completed the task in approximately one hour.

I wasn't certain exactly what to expect, but it pretty much happened like Rick Lange (Retro-Fit Specialist) said it was going to happen. (Rick came out to examine my attic, and go over the options before any of the work was done, and provide an estimate.) Very knowledgeable. (Vacuum removal of old insulation was my request. Rick did advise it was optional. I felt better about cleaning out the old insulation since it had old roofing debris embedded in it that I wanted to be rid of.) I planned to have my air ducts re-done, too, afterward, and the duct contractor politely pointed out that next time I should have him come out between the insulation contractor's "vacuum" phase and the "add new insulation" phase--that way he wouldn't be disturbing all my newly blown-in insulation. (Live and learn! Hopefully, that tip can help someone else out.)

The crew arrived shortly after 8:00am. They called the residence approximately 10 minutes before they got there. The two (2) men started the project and completed it within 45 minutes. There was little residue on the garage floor from the over-flow from the attic, but they cleaned it up.

After reading the reviews here, I knew that reaching Art Kennedy could take a few times. He didn't return my first phone call, so after calling the main number again, they called him and told him to call me, which he did within minutes. Mr. Kennedy arrived to give me the estimate exactly on time and had brochures to explain the type of insulation I needed and how much. He also explained that the cost of the materials is a tax deductible expense because they use Energy-Star rated insulation. The estimate was in line with prices I'd seen on here, so I scheduled them to come out three days later. They called me that morning to let me know they'd be arriving within half an hour, which they did. All in all, a great job.

It only took 45 minutes to do the work, they were gone before 9:00!

On the first day, the contractor arrived on time to spray the attic with radiant barrier. It took about 1 1/2 hours for them to complete the work. They were very careful to make sure they protected my carpets and walls as they brought in their equipment. The next day, they arrived on time and spent about 2 hours blowing an additional 12 inches of insulation throughout my attic. Because of varying ceiling heights, they also found some spaces that had no insulation at all. Again, they were very careful about bringing their equipment and materials into the house. Overall, Garland Insulating did a great job. Their sales rep. has contacted me to ensure I was satisfied and has committed to touching base here in a couple of months to make sure I'm realizing savings from their efforts. This was a very positive experience and I'd highly recommend them to anyone.

Not much to tell-the salesman was here the day before installation and the workers were here for 90 minutes. A pretty clean and efficient job. I did not price them because of Angie's List recommendation and reputation. After 14 days, the difference is very obvious and we are happy.

Art the estimator was quite friendly and seemed to really know his job. The installers worked very quickly and were very clean. There was nothing that we had to do, everything went very smoothly.

Very good. Art Kennedy met me quickly after my call. Gave reasonable estimate. I was able to schedule within the week. Very pleasant crew came to install. Got finished in about an hour.

ORIGINAL BID $965.00 AT $.27 SQ. FT. WHEN I CHECKED SAME NUMBERS ON SQ. FT. IT CAME OUT TO ABOUT $825. HE SAID HE HIT THE WRONG KEY. WENT WITH THE COMPANY THAT DOES ALL INSULATION FOR HOME DEPOT AT A LITTLE HIGHER RATE.

I FOUND GARLAND INSULATING CO. OFF OF ANGIE'S LIST. I NEED TO RE-INSULATE A LARGE PORTION OF MY ATTIC IN MY NEW HOUSE. I TELEPHONED THEIR OFFICE WHERE THE RECEPTIONIST TOLD ME THAT I HAD TO TELEPHONE A SALESPERSON. THE OFFICE APPARENTLY ONLY DEALS WITH COMMERCIAL WORK. SHE GAVE ME THE SALESPERSON'S MOBILE NUMBER. I SPOKE TO HIM, AND SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT FOR HIM TO COME TO MY HOUSE ON A MONDAY. HE SAID HE WOULD CALL THAT DAY TO CONFIRM THE TIME FOR THE APPOINTMENT. MONDAY CAME AND WENT, AND THEIR SALESPERSON NEVER TELEPHONED. DO NOT BOTHER CALLING THIS COMPANY BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT INTERESTED IN RESIDENTIAL WORK.

DEFINITELY WOULD RECOMMEND. ACTUALLY CAME EARLY TO DO WORK!

VERY EASY TO WORK WITH. WITH MINOR DIFFICULTY IN CONTACTING ART KENNEDY TO SCHEDULE WORK. WORK WAS PERFORMED AS PROMISED, AT RATE ESTIMATED.

THE COMPANY DID A GOOD JOB AND WE'RE EXTREMELY PUNCTUAL. I HAD A VERY PLEASANT EXPERIENCE WITH THEM.

WHEN THE VISUAL INSPECTION WAS DONE, THEY TOLD US ABOUT A REBATE FROM THE ELECTRIC COMPANY, FILLED OUT THE PAPERWORK FOR US, AND SAVED US $350! WE HAD BEEN UNAWARE OF THIS BENEFIT FROM BRINGING OUR INSULATION UP TO RECOMMENDED LEVELS. THEY WERE VERY COURTEOUS, PROMPT, AND VACUUMED UP THEIR STRAY INSULATION UPON COMPLETION. I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE QUALITY AND PROFESSIONALISM OF ALL OF THE EMPLOYEES.

THEY ALWAYS WORKED US IN WHEN WE NEEDED THEM.
