The owner of the company actually came out and placed a bid for me and he was very conscientious. The windows came in sooner than expected and he worked it in my schedule and did a good job.

Everything was exactly as Lynn said it would be, the cost, the timing of the windows received from the manufacturer, and the schedule for the work to install. The crew was on time, professional, and made sure everything was cleaned up as they did the work. Their attention to detail was evident in the way they installed the windows. They exceeded my expectations. People in my neighborhood have even commented about what a great job they did, and how these windows have really added value to my home. I think they did an awesome job, and the windows look fabulous!

I liked the window products and I liked the price. Mr. Foster was willing to work out a total price but I decided to put buying new windows on hold due to the economy. I would certainly recommend Foster Exteriors to those ready to replace windows.

The installation went smoothly. We had one glitch that was the manufacturer's fault. Lynn's foreman brought it to our attention and told us what options we had while they reordered the two windows that came incorrectly. We were very impressed with how hard his crew worked. They cleaned up each evening before leaving and made sure that all the window treatments were reinstalled as they went along. We highly recommend this company if you are replacing windows in your home.

Fosters Exteriors gave me an estimate, and the final price was within that estimate. The installer was outstanding. He was pleasant to have around. He had a good technical ability. They finished the job within a day and a half. They cleaned up after themselves, you would have never known they had been there.

Lynn's estimate was one of the two lowest of the five we received. Lynn also estimated replacing all of the exterior trim which others would not do. The sales presentation was more professional than the rest and he made several suggestions which improved the appearance of the new windows, which others had not mentioned. Other salesmen told us that we were required to use tempered safety glass on the two large windows, while Lynn reconfigured the windows so that it would not be needed. When I had concerns Lynn was able to present the code book to show what was required by code. Instead of our large windows being two panes of glass he suggested that we change to three panes with a 60/40 split instead of a 50/50. We are so glad we went with this option as a number of people have commented on how much the appearance of these windows was improved. He also explained how we could replace the interior sills as we remodel each room and where to buy the material. The work crew was punctual and professional, and took great care in their work. After they completed the first of each step they took time to confirm that it was to our liking. Lynn booked two days for the work, but the crew finished in one. Lynn reviewed their work and found that the base trim on three windows had not been replaced and had scheduled the correction before we even noticed the error. Also, Lynn informed us that replacing the exterior trim took less material than what was bid, and adjusted the final bill down for the less material used. I don't think that we would have even noticed the discrepancy. Very professional and honest work. We are overwhelmingly happy with their work and the difference that it has made in the appearance of our home. The low-e windows have also completely eliminated the cold drafts that we used to feel from the old windows.

It was wonderful. They were even tolerant of my dogs and the teenagers. Lynn and his crew were all just wonderful. The work that they did was exceptional. They showed up when they said they would, got the job done, and cleaned up afterwards. The patio door is beautiful. It was a great experience.

I did a lot of research on the internet, visited a showroom and a big box store to see for myself what the products available were like. Finding Foster Exteriors with their excellent reviews on Angie's List was a relief. Lyn Foster's recommendation of Alltex windows satisfied me that I would be getting a quality product that would last. When the installation day arrived, the crew worked quickly and with care to remove the old ones, install the new and clean up. I am very happy with the appearance and ease of use. The energy savings will be a bonus!

The crew was quick and professional, they did an excellent job with the installation and even came back a few months later to fix the caulking and replace a broken window.

We obtained three quotes to replace our 31 Aluminum frame windows with single hung vinyl windows. All three companies sent out salespersons that measured the windows, provided a description of the replacement windows and showed us a sample of the windows. All were polite and seemed to be reasonably knowledgeable about their windows. They all offered low E (emissivity) glass with an inert gas (Argon) between the double panes. Screens were included. All offered lifetime warranty and free glass breakage replacement. Foster Exteriors covers glass breakage on all windows except special shapes and picture windows. The others only included glass breakage on double hung windows. Foster Exteriors provides the Excalibur window made by Alside. Lynn left us a written quote and told us to call them after we made a decision. The Foster Exteriors quote included Climetech-2, a low E coating on both inside glass surfaces. The quote included the cost of replacing exterior wood trim (1 x 4 boards) around 8 windows. Also, I needed 11 window sills replaced because the old windows leaked and damaged the existing sills. Foster Exteriors only charged me the cost of the sill material ($4.50/foot). Based upon a combination of the cost or the work and the confidence & knowledge we observed in the sales person, we chose to hire Foster Exteriors. The complete installation took about 3 days. The crew of 3 to 4 men worked quickly and cleaned up any debris at the end of the day. One glitch occurred after the installation. The building inspector found two windows that were within 24 of a doorway and, therefore, required tempered glass. Lynn Foster quickly ordered replacement glass for the two windows in question & replaced the glass about 2 weeks later. We were very satisfied with the competence of the work crew and Lynn s attention to the job to make sure we were satisfied with the work while it was being done and after the job was completed.

We are replacing all windows in stages. This was the second time we contacted Lynn Foster. We were again extremely pleased to deal with him, received an estimate we accepted, and made a down payment. Lynn Foster only employs one crew that has worked for him for a long time. They are in my opinion the best contractors I have ever encountered. The crew arrived a bit early, worked non-stop and was finished well within 5 hours. The place was left spotless and the windows polished to a shine. We know that we are getting the best quality windows which is essential to keep our A/C bill down. Lynn Foster even offered to help move furniture back when he arrived to pick up payment. He also took time to in detail explain how we might need to expand a basement window to meet code - well knowing that his services might not be needed to make a replacement.

We did quite a bit of research on the web and visiting contractors because we were convinced that the quality of installation work was at least as important as the quality of the windows themselves. Lynn Foster was punctual and prepared. Even though we were somewhat knowledgeable, Lynn gave us the most thorough "infomercial" of any of the half dozen contractors who provided quotes. Lynn clearly wanted the business and was flexible and competitive. His was not the lowest bid we received, but he impressed us as being the most straightforward and the one who would do what he said he would. In fact, whether it was showing up on time, returning a phone call, or replacing a defective screen, Lynn always did what he said he would do. His crew was very easy to work with and were conscientious about laying down plastic in the house, wearing shoe covers, etc. Lynn said I could be as much a part of any decision making about the installation as I wanted, and I found that to be the case. The 4-person crew did an excellent job and were efficient, installing the 22 windows in 1.5 days. This included a significant amount of "cutting in" the window frames, per my request, so the wider vinyl replacement windows did not protrude excessively. The crew never complained about any of my requests and seemed happy to oblige. I'm quite pleased with the windows and the installation. I would use Foster Exteriors again in a heartbeat and have already recommended him to interested neighbors.

From the initial meeting with Lynn, all the way through to the meeting for final payment -- the experience was by far the best we've had with ANY contractor. His crew was courteous, clean, efficient and thorough. We've never worked with a company that performed the work they said they would, for the price they said it would be, on the schedule they set, and with the skills far above normal contractors. We are extremely satisfied with the job. Not only that, our first full month with the new windows installed reflected a decrease of 1,000 kilowatt hours on our utility bill from the same time period last year.

Great experience! The windows in the home we just purchased were original and over 40 years old! Lynn replaced 34 of our old windows with 28 new Vinyl Low 3 windows. We had several windows in our kitchen and family room, combined, and replaced them with big picture windows. Lynn arrived at our home one evening on time to measure all the windows and give us a quote. He walked through our different options and explained the difference in the windows that we were choosing between. He is very knowledgeable and isn t pushy at all! We cut him a check the next night and our windows were being installed about 3 weeks later. His crew was awesome! They worked on the inside and outside to install our windows in about 2.5 days. They even covered up all of my daughter s toys in her room & her playroom. When I returned home each night, you would have never known we were having work done. The areas were just as I had left then-CLEAN and not a piece of furniture out of place! I was really impressed! We had several windows combined into picture windows. The crew knocked out the pillars between the windows to put in the new picture windows & replaced the window sill with new unstained wood, and did a fabulous job! All the windows were nicely caulked. We have sprinkler heads in all our of flower beds around the house and sometimes they can be hard to see. Three of them were damaged during the window installation but Lynn promptly paid for the repairs. They were very careful not to harm any of our plants or flowers! To be honest, we didn t even get a second quote. We were so impressed with Lynn and all of the glowing reviews on Angie s List, that we were willing to pay a little more for quality work and cleanliness. I would recommend Foster Exteriors for window replacement to anyone! On a side note, our windows are so energy efficient that we have not had to change the settings on our A/C up 3 degrees because it is actually too cold in the house now! Our old 40 year old windows were costing us a fortune in cooling! I can t wait to see next month s bill!

Lynn Foster arrived on time to give an estimate. He is extremely knowledgeable about the products he sells. He explained our options thoroughly, measured the windows needing replacement, understood the changes I wanted to make in the existing windows, made helpful suggestions, and gave me a detailed estimate. When the ordered windows arrived from the factory he called to set up a time for installation and his crew of four arrived on time as scheduled. They were extremely well-mannered. They provided clean drop clothes to cover all my furniture to protect it against dust. They worked fast and installed all 11 windows in just 3 1/2 hours yet they were very careful to clean up after themselves. The work was excellently done and they removed all debris from the premises. I noticed that there was very little "chit chat" going on while they worked; it seemed they only exchanged needed comments on the specific task they were performing. After the job was completed, Lynn Foster came back to perform a very thorough inspection and to give me instructions on the operation of the new windows. He also helped me complete a form to obtain a credit on my utility bill from the power company for installing EnergySaver windows. I can't say enough about how pleased we are with our entire experience with Foster Exteriors. I wouldn't hesitate to do further business with Lynn or to recommend him to anyone.

The gentleman I met with was Lynn; very professional and he was not pushy at all like the other salespeople I met with from other companies. They had the best price and no one else was even close to it. He was timely, efficient, and he had all the windows replaced in one day. They left no mess and we had no problems whatsoever. He also does roofing so we had him come out later on to look at our roof. We thought we would have to get a new roof but he said we just needed some new flashing around the chimney and some new shingles. He gave us the estimate and did the job the same day. I highly recommend him.

We hired Lynn Foster on smaller jobs at our old house, so I felt he was trustworthy and he reinforced that impression every step of the way on this much larger job. He scheduled a time to talk about what we wanted and to take measurements (so he could give us a quote). He was on time and came prepared to demonstrate a couple of different options for us. He did not waste our time but was very pleasant. We ordered the windows from him that night he took our deposit for about one-third the total cost with the agreement that the remaining balance would be paid when the job was completely finished. We met with him in mid-December 2007, and Lynn advised us that we could take a tax credit if we purchased by the end of the year. We did this and were pleased when we got a tax refund in April! The windows came in as expected (I can't remember the lead time, but Lynn was very accurate in predicting it with the holidays factored in). Lynn's crew installed the windows and did an amazing job. As they were unpacking the windows, they realized that one of them was broken. They immediately ordered a replacement window, completed installing the other 29 windows, and returned when the final window was ready and installed it. That's when Lynn - after making sure we were happy with everything - came to get the balance for the windows. We did not have to be home for the installation the crew worked from the outside. I think it's important to note that his crew is the exact same people he had working for him 2.5 years ago when they did other work for us. I feel sure he's good to his employees. Bottom line: I think Lynn, his products, and his services are top-notch. I have referred him to anyone who's ever asked about a good door/window person.

Lynn Foster came to my house at our scheduled time. Following his giving me a demonstration of the different windows and various types of glass available, he gave me a bid with a couple of different options. Immediately after I called to order my windows, Miguel came to measure for all the windows. My windows were installed about 2 weeks after they were ordered. Lynn sent a crew of three, who have all worked for him for some time, to do the installation. They worked like a precision team, with one person removing the old windows, while the other two prepared the windows openings and installed the windows. During the time they were at my home, they were careful not to track anything into my house and they covered everything near any of the windows to keep the area clean. When they were done with each area, care was taken to clean up any remaining debris. The whole process of installing 15 windows took less than 1 day. Lynn and his crew were very professional and competent. The low-E glass has definitely lowered the temperature in my home.

Overall it went very well. Lynn Foster came to the house with samples, measured everything and showed us his products and worked up a quote for us. His quote was in line or better than other quotes we had gotten for the work. We scheduled the install for June after the windows were ordered and made. Two of the windows had a high arched eyebrow and had to be custom made. When the time came for the install, these two had not been finished and we had to push the install back. Lynn called to let me know and said he would be glad to come and install the rest of the windows and come back when those two were done and install them. I opted to push back the entire install to have it done the same day. The work was completed very fast and efficiently. Overall, it took about 5 hours. The crew was very professional and left the site as clean as they had found and removed all debris and the old windows. The new windows are excellent and we are very happy with the work. We plan on quoting replacement of the rest of the windows in the house with Foster fairly soon.

Lynn Foster gave us great service. We were very particular with our choices, including the factory option of different exterior versus interior color (very few vinyl window manufactures do this, but the manufacturer that Foster exteriors uses with does as an additional cost option). We also chose two-tone sculptured between-the-glass grids in the upper panes. One of the windows replaced was coordinated with a bathroom remodel and Lynn was very obliging. Our house was built in the mid 50s and presented some additional challenges which were handled promptly at no additional charge. We were very happy with the crew led by Miguel and their professionalism and workmanship. The price was very competitive, especially considering the two tone coloring option, the cedar trim work and the size of the windows. We would definitely work with Foster Exteriors again very highly recommended.

Mr. Foster answered the phone and was very courtesy. He was on time for our appointment. He looked at the windows and explained what our chooses were. He answered all questions. Very polite. He made good suggestion on what his company could do. We made our selection. He reminded us to check with our HOA, which we didn't think of. Once the order was placed, he told us it would be about 2-3 weeks. Again his estimate was accurate. A man came and measured the windows and was very efficient. An appointment was set for installation. They showed-up on time and went right to work. My husband was home and he said they knew what they were doing. The work was completed in about 3 hours. They also installed a window unit for us at no extra charge. They cleaned-up after they were done. The men were very polite. The windows look great. We are very pleased with Mr. Foster professional service through the ordering and installation of the windows.

Lynn and his team were true professionals. The stated delivery time, as well as the installation time were spot on. Also, the price was very much in line with other estimates I received. Lynn was honest and informed me that under new codes, more expensive tempered glass would need to be installed in this particular instance, which will likely save me problems when it comes time to sell the property. It was obvious that Lynn is not in business to make a quick sell, but rather for the long term. The whole process went smoothly and the installation was performed quickly and, of great concern to me, very cleanly! As soon as the job was finished, he stopped by to inspect the work done by his team and to make sure I was pleased with the installation. I can only recommend Lynn and his team.

Lynn Foster gave us excellent advice on how to replace our windows showing us multiple options. We were forewarned that window frames might be damaged and need repainting/possible slight repair. We were impressed dealing with Lynn as he answered all our questions in a straightforward, professional way. Installation was done in a few hours. The crew of two was exceptionally careful in their work. No repair or painting of window frames was needed. When drilling was performed by one of the crew, the other held up a heavy cloth to keep dust from entering the house. These installers should give lessons to all other contractors who leave a layer of dust on anything and everything to be cleaned by the home-owner. When Lynn Foster came to check on the finished installation we told him that this was utter perfection. We will soon contact Foster Exteriors again to have more windows replaced. Note: the company only replaces with vinyl windows but that's exactly what we wanted.
