They were the best and did an excellent job! He came out and did not pressure me. I appreciated this; he gave me lots of facts and plenty of time. When I chose them, they took care of everything. They cleaned the area after the work very thoroughly as well. I have arthritis and it is harder for me to open the doors. He made it much easier for me. Overall, it went wonderfully well! The installers were excellent also, Miguel, Miguel's son, and Johnathon.

They were cheaper than other companies. They were timely and came out when they were supposed to. They were in and out in a day. We haven?t had any problems with the windows. Our experience with them was good.

We cannot imagine how this project could have gone any better. Mr. Foster was very supportive in helping us select the right window for us in terms of materials and style. He even accepted and incorporated a graphic rendering of how we wanted a large front window to look. The installation date was on time ( a little early actually due to a postponement of another job). The installers were on time -- they worked quietly and quickly. They were extremely careful of landscaping outside and left NO dirt, trash or damage inside. They took down all window treatments and replaced them when they were finished. Mr. Foster stopped by to check on how the job was going. He provided us with full documentation for claiming a tax rebate for the work done. The windows look and function just great. We are totally pleased with our new windows. (And we are detail-oriented and picky people which sometimes makes us difficult to deal with. )

I selected Foster Exteriors for two reasons. The first reason was because of all the good comments on Angie's List, and second was because I thought Lynn Foster was a man of high character. I loved the fact that he did not pressure me about my selections. He was thorough in his presentation of my options, and it was clear that he knew the products very well. Each time I met with Lynn he was right on time. Lynn told me that I would be pleased with the installation process and the men that would be installing the windows, and he was absolutley correct. The installation team consisted of a father and two sons. They did an outstanding job, and it was clear that each one is a man of integrity. At the end of the job I was amazed at how little dust they created. It was a 2 day job and they were on time both days. I was completely comfortable with them being in my home. The new windows are beautiful and energy efficient. I can already tell that the temperture in my home has been easier to maintain because of the new windows. I don't know if I will find myself in need of new windows in the future since these new windows come with a lifetime guarantee, but if I do, I will most certainly call Foster Exteriors.

One of the reasons we joined Angieslist was to find a reputable window replacement company. We contacted Foster Exteriors and met with Lynn Foster the next day. We wanted energy efficiency and sound reduction so we chose the UltraMaxx triple glazed climatech elite glass with argon gas fill. We signed the contract and after his fellow re-measured and we paid half of the total, he ordered the windows. Lynn had explained it would take three to four weeks for the windows to come in and about 1 month after our first visit, we arranged to have the windows installed. There are three installers, a dad and two sons and these guys are awesome. Our appointment was for 8:30 on Saturday morning and they were there, ready to begin working at 8:20. One person worked inside the house and the other two worked outside. They laid drop cloths and swept up after themselves. I was embarrased that they left my porch cleaner than they found it. They took a short lunch at 1:00 and were completely finished by 5:30. They did not leave one single sign that they were here except for our beautiful new windows. Lynn also arranged for us to have three window sills replaced for free because he overlooked writing them up on the contract. I thought they just wouldn't be replaced but he specifically told the fellows that they were included in the job. The installers left after making sure we didn't have any questions and telling us that Lynn would give us a call. He arranged to come over on Monday afternoon and we shared our positive experience with him, gave him our thanks and paid the remainder of the bill. I am super confident that we chose the right company and the right product. I believe Lynn will stand behind the windows and the installation. Update: So three years have passed and we still LOVE our windows. The other day I was cleaning the outside of the windows and I popped out the plastic piece that keeps the window from coming off of the track and guess what... the window came off of the track. I called Foster's and was given Lynn's cell number. He talked my husband and I through the fix and then... he swung by to make sure everything was safe. You will not be disappointed chosing Foster Exteriors for both quality of product and the super high level of customer service.

It was a great experience. Lynn came out and gave us an estimate based on our window selections. He did estimate out both all the windows in our home and just 12 particular ones (which we opted for). He had choices on window frames and types of glass which was great. He was very well versed on the Energy Credit and knew which window / glass combinations would meet the tax credit requirements (on efficiency). The installation was very smooth and only took about half a day to do the 12 windows. They were installed very well, caulked all around and having a critical eye myself, this job was perfect by all accounts. The installers were very nice and friendly and well prepared for the job. Lynn was great in communicating through the whole process (estimating, writing up order, handling payment, notice on window arrival, installation scheduling, follow up after installation). I'm very pleased and we'll be calling them back to do the remaining windows in our home next year.

They are very good. They are very responsive. We got them off Angie?s list. We agree with the good ratings they have received so far. They have not yet finished the installation work. There was a glitch in the order. It was not their fault. One of the windows supplied by the factory is defective. They have to come back and replace it.

The process was pianless and seemless. Replacing all of the windows in the house was a daunting task that both my wife and I feared could get ugly. However, Lynn was courteous and professional allaying much of our fears. I would highly recommend Lynn to both family and friends.

They neatly removed and cleaned up the old debris, and expertly installed the new ones. They are beautiful! I haven't had the opportunity to compare electric bills yet but the quietness of the house is very noticeable, as Lynn Foster said it would be. On a hot day I put my hand on the glass and instead of feeling the heat from a 95+ temp outside, the glass is just room temperature. Everything happened as Lynn the owner said it would, and there was no price change beyond what we originally agreed. Lynn was the one who came to give us the initial estimate, and his own crew installs the windows. The company is busy because of referrals from Angies List, but it is worth the wait to buy from Fosters.

Lynn was very professional and honest in his consultation. He explained the product and choices available. He did not try to up-sell but listened to my concerns and specifications for the job. He was very detailed in his explanation of the install and what to expect. His crew was great at the install and the work was done in a timely manner. There was one issue with three window not in the original delivery,but we worked out the initial install on a Saturday with a follow up the following week. We are very pleased with the product and have recommended Lynn to our neighbors without hesitation.

Lynn Foster's sales visit was extremely professional. He fully explained every detail and offered a good price, so I agreed to sign a contract that evening. The crew arrived promptly the morning of the installation and completed it that day. They were extremely polite and friendly. The installation went without a hitch and my house was left as clean as it was when they arrived. The windows look great.

I personally worked with the owner through the whole process for estimates, ordering, scheduling and a follow up inspection. The install crew showed up on time (9am) and were done by 3pm. They were very detailed and careful. They also took care of taking down/reinstalling my existing blinds and removing some old storm windows. Afterwards the owner showed up to inspect the work and give a walkthrough of the window features. It's been a few weeks and I haven't found any problems. The new windows are definitely a lot better at keeping the summer heat out!

I had a different contractor replace 4 windows and two door walls facing the pool. The bid was lower than Foster Exterior and I was satisfied with that work but not delighted. So I decided to contract the front windows to Foster Exteriors. Lynn Foster is excellent. He explains everything thoroughly, especially how the tax credits work for energy efficient windows. The windows were installed within 3 weeks of my deposit. The crew was fantastic finishing the work within 4 hours and cleaned up everything. I didn't even have to vacuum afterwards! I did have a problem with some of the windows. The factory did not properly trim 3 of them and glass had to be replaced on one window. Lynn and his crew came back a little more than a week later to take care of the problems. Given the factory quality problems on the windows, I really can't give this job "straight As". The windows look great but I hope the quality won't be an issue over the years. I do however strongly recommend Foster Exteriors. They have options other than Alside and those products should be considered if quality is an issue for that vendor.

All went as planned. Kept me well informed from the order process to the installation process. Installation was done as scheduled and finished in less than 5 hours. Clean-up was exceptional.

All of the good things described in other posts for this company are true! Lynn Foster provided us with information and answers to all of our questions and was clear about his products, the cost, the installation time and when the work could begin. He also gave us a list of nearby homes where he had installed the windows we were considering so we could see for ourselves and make an informed choice. I was really skeptical that replacing these old windows could be accomplished as easily as Lynn predicted and was especially worried about damange to the interior window frames and wall coverings. We have lived here for 25 years, have done extensive remodeling over that time, and no project has ever gone as easily as any contractor expected! I shouldn't have been concerned. Lynn's installers, Miguel and his two sons, were careful, quiet, effecient, friendly, and very neat. Installation took exactly as long as Lynn estimated, the furniture that needed to be moved was handled and replaced carefully, and every work area (inside and out) was cleaned up as the work progressed and left neater than they found it. Lynn dropped by each day to see how things were progressing and has followed up since. The quality of the view through our new windows is exceptional, as is the amount of sound-proofing they provide.

Mr. Foster came to my home and gave me an impressive demonstration of his products. He is an honest, friendly guy who was recommended to me by many neighbors who had hired him for their window replacement. When the day arrived for the installation, his friendly, professional crew came in and did my entire house in one morning. I constantly get compliments on how great the windows look, and now more of my neighbors have had their windows replaced as well. My air conditioner doesn't run as much as it used to either! You cannot feel heat coming through the window in direct, hot, west-facing sunshine. Its amazing. I was given a discount for paying with cash, and later I even received a surprise in the mail from Mr. Foster for referring my neighbors. I hope all my future home improvement needs go this well.

The house built in 1956 was badly in need of repairs. This was not going to be just a pop-em-out & pop-em-in job, and we knew that. This was truly major construction, but the workmen handled everything so well - like a polished team of expert professionals - they were so amazing that we were able to be in the house all day without any disruption. Nothing was broken, chipped or damaged. Dust was kept to a minimum. They worked quickly and silently. We were amazed that even though it was a 100 degree day, they worked non-stop and with lots of energy and enthusiasm. They were obviously proud of their craft and performed it well. The company has a very, very high standard of work, from the lady who answers the phone to the youngest member of the work team. The owner is an honest and gracious gentleman who excels in all aspects of the profession to make the homeowner feel safe and secure during the entire process. This company is THE standard by which all other contractors should be measured. It felt like we had trusted friends working in the house instead of wokmen. Each person was kind-hearted and of truly good character, something which is rare these days. The owner called us the day after to ask if we were happy. I said no... we were ecstatic, overjoyed, thrilled. We really got so much more than our money's worth. The house now keeps a constant temperature throughout, whereas before, there were hot spots and cool spots and dead air spots. The AC is much more efficient now and it does not run as much. There is a large picture window on the west side of the house which gets direct sun all afternoon. With the new window, we can leave the curtains open and stand right in front of the window without feeling the heat from the sun. Amazing. I did not believe it was possible, not in that old house. The house is so much quieter now. Also, there is much less dust. It has changed the house so much more than we could have imagined. It is like having a new home.

Lynn Foster runs an excellent company. He and his installer Miguel were very professional and punctual every time we met. Lynn came out after work one evening to explain our options, give us a quote, and answer any questions we had. We were impressed with his knowledge, professionalism, and price so we decided to have Foster Exteriors replace our windows. For various reasons, we decided to delay our final decision for 6 weeks and ultimately decided to only replace half the windows in our house. Lynn didn't try to pressure us into doing it all at once and was very accommodating in redoing the paperwork and getting everything correct. Installation was a breeze. Miguel and his sons were courteous and made quick work of the windows. They took down and put back up the mini-blinds when necessary and cleaned up after themselves. In and out with 7 new windows completed in 3.5 hours. Amazing! Two of the windows actually had factory defects on them. Lynn was quick to get the serial numbers and order replacement sashes for those and came out on the weekend two weeks later when the parts were in. I couldn't have been more pleased with the quality of service that Lynn Foster and his team provided. When we get around to replacing the rest of our windows next year, we will definitely be using Foster Exteriors again.

Sales presentation by owner Lynn was professional, complete and included sample windows. Windows arrived and were installed about 3 weeks later. There were 3 installers and it took a little under 2 hours, they did a great job and did not seem rushed. Everything was cleaned up at the end.

I liked Mr. Foster immediately. He was very knowledgeable and told us a good deal we did not know about the product we were seeking. He did not try to sell us anything we did not want. He worked with me to achieve the effect I wanted for my dining room - the look of wall to wall glass with the ability to open the window 18" at the bottom for air circulation. The windows arrived promptly. He called to schedule an appointment. His crew arrived on time and installed all 10 windows in what seemed like no time at all. They cleaned up every bit of installation debris and even washed the windows to a spotless shine before they left.

The whole process from quote to delivery time and install was flawless.

We contacted Lynn Foster in early April 2009 for an estimate on replacement windows for our home. We were specifically looking for more energy efficient windows. Lynn brought out two sample windows, both conforming to the standards for the 2009 energy credit under the stimulus bill enacted earlier in the year. We asked for bids on both, for comparison purposes. Lynn took measurements of all the windows in our home, completed a written estimate, and demonstrated the energy savings advantage of one product over the other. We decided on the more energy efficient of the two choices, which was a bit more expensive but better in energy ratings. We received two other bids and selected Foster based on the length of time in business, quality of product/superior energy efficiency ratings, longevity of installers, and large number of favorable reviews on Angies List. The prices of all three bids were similar; and we did not bid in order to get the lowest possible cost, but the best product and service for the price. We placed the order for the windows. Lynn told us the date he would place the order, the anticipated delivery date (roughly 3 weeks) and installation time (2 days). The delivery occurred as promised. The installation crew (Miguel and two sons) arrived promptly when scheduled, worked like a well-oiled machine, and completed the installation in two days. They moved/protected furniture and covered landscaping during the process. We were very impressed with their industriousness, ingenuity in working around our shrubs and other obstacles, and the quality of the result. They were very respectful of our home, cleaning up around work areas as they went along. You could hardly tell they were here after the job was done, if not for the new, squeaky clean windows. Our new windows are beautiful, and we are looking forward to reducing our energy bills and receiving the tax credit!

Excellent at all times. From Mr. Foster's first visit through installation, great service and professionalism. The removed our old windows without even breaking any glass. Started at 8:30 in the morning, and by 1pm they were done -- the windows were in and were perfect - and the place was so clean you would never haven known anyone had done any work.

From the beginning, everything went very well. Mr. Foster was very helpful and knowledgeable when we were deciding what windows to buy. After choosing his company, the installer came out to take measurements and told us approximately how long it would take for our windows to arrive. Mr. Foster called to confirm before the scheduled date and Miguel (the installer) and his crew showed up on time. He and his crew were very professional, friendly and clean. I barely had anything to clean up after they were done. They were also very considerate of my two young children, and even installed the window in the baby's room first so that she could stick to her regular nap schedule. They did an excellant job and were even finished on time as well. Mr. Foster stopped by while they were working to see how things were going and came by again after the work was completed to answer any questions and to demonstrate the windows again. I love my new windows and I would definitely use this company again. They did an outstanding job.
