I had a sales associate, Tom, come to the house to measure for the square footage and give a quote for services on July 29th. I was checking with other companies as well to compare services and prices. Once I received all the quotes and information I decided to reach out to the Tom and ask some additional questions about another product on July 29th via phone call and again the following week and again in a text on August 6th. I received a text saying he was checking with installation review and I never heard back. It has been almost a month since the in home visit and two -three weeks since I reached back out. I was really wanting to use this company but after being pushed aside and ignored I am taking my business else where.

The carpet is beautiful and Flooring Direct did a great job. I would hire them again.

Job cost: $$,$$$ Project start date: 7/8/19 Project end date communicated by Flooring Direct: 7/13/19 Project end date: 7/18/19 I am disappointed and confused how Flooring Direct could possibly have the “list” of high reviews. My expectation was high, while my experience was poor. My frustration is only with Flooring Direct because that is the company I hired, paid, and have a contract with. My family has been separated during this process because of the dust and debris. I really struggled when to communicate my grievances (directly with Flooring Direct) because I am caught in the middle. Flooring Direct is not here at the job site, but the sub-contractors are here. I think realistic expectations would have helped address some of these issues and not building up Flooring Direct as a great company when you didn’t back it up. My review would be different if my expectation was only to have Flooring Direct take money and send the sub-contractor; no follow up, outreach, or quality check. 1. Appointment process: a. Slow and calls took too long to be returned. I had to call sales to get any response. b. No confirmation text the day before work would start. 2. Schedule: a. Off schedule since day 1 b. No clear communication on schedule / schedule estimates. From what I remember, the total process during the sales discussion was 5 days? Day 5 and as of 12am, demo is not complete. c. No follow up discussion after sub-contractor started to review and communicate estimates d. Not impressed with the timeline development process. Besides lack of communication, there should be simple math involved. Sales should have used the drawing sketched + scope of work to determine a reasonable timeline (e.g., ### sq per day and realistic time to remove)(if 100 sq feet and it takes ~30 min to remove per 50 sq feet then avg of 2.5 hours to remove = estimate of days to remove and similar process to estimate install) simple math. 3. Payment: a. Discounts if no financing through Wells Fargo b. 50% paid when contract signed c. THIS WAS A SURPRISE AND NOT COMMUNICATED DURING THE SALES PROCESS: Remainder 50% of charged to card on file on the project start date 7/8/19 vs. upon completion and client sign-off d. I called sales to discuss and he said this is something “new”. Google reviews indicates this has been in place for at least 6 months. 4. Subcontractors: a. 0 oversight and quality checks from Flooring Direct b. Hard working c. 0 incentive / bonus from Flooring Direct to finish on time / early 5. Communication with Flooring Direct since the job started: 0 a. Only communication with Flooring Direct was when customer reached out because all demo was not removed until day 3. b. No outreach to see how the job was progressing. c. I felt like the sub-contractors were hired by me since there has been 0 contact from Flooring Direct since the sales process. 6. Job site cleanliness: 2 out of 10 (10 being the best). a. No daily trash removal; until day 3 (I emailed Sales a picture of my house and mess) (see attachments and dates on how the site was left for 3 days). b. No dumpster on site, so all trash had to be bagged and made it take longer c. no oversight and quality checks d. Water bottles left throughout my house 7. Resources: a. No use of new technology to remove b. There are machines that help demo, but Flooring Direct uses the old, time-consuming and laborious method c. Not efficient (having to load a truck to dump trash) 8. Project sign-off a. Should be between Flooring Direct and customer b. I should not be put in the position to manage issues directly and sign off with the sub-contractor. Bottom Line: I would NOT refer Flooring Direct based on my experiences. I have photos I have captured along the way to answer questions if they come up and so that my experience is not discredited. (Pictures attached is what my house looked like on day 3 of demo).

Up front, we gave a deadline date--which they said they could meet. We choose the tile color [solid flat white, i.e. no other marks or colors in it]. We wanted an accept color also--which they didn't have. However, they gave us addresses to search for it, and I found the exact color we wanted at the 1st store. Gave them this info. On the date when the work was to begin, they delivered the WRONG white tile--it had gray streaks in it!! They promised to return that afternoon. They returned, but then informed us that the accent tiles wouldn't be available for 2 WEEKS--past our deadline!! We asked for a refund, but they DOUBLE-BILLED us instead!! I'm happy to report that we were able to get both charges reversed. They're service-minded, but have problems w/meeting deadlines.

Thank you Angie’s list for the recommendation and thank you Flooring Direct for amazing service you provided. From the salesman Tom to the installation crew those three men are skilled, to watch them was awesome they were very efficient and professional. I also want thank the support staff and the home office very friendly and personable.

We recently completed two major bathroom renovations in our master bathrooms due to the lack of quality craftsmanship when our home was first built 5 1/2 years ago. To ensure the work was done correctly we hired our own plumber, shower enclosure vendor and selected Flooring Direct for all of our tile needs. From the initial engagement with Hiro as we selected out tile up until the last contractor left our home after they completed the installation, our experience with Flooring Direct has been nothing less of stellar. Although my husband and I fully know what we want, we don't exactly know what kind of products to select to completely get "there." Hiro was patient with us, asked us a myriad of questions and offered considerations until we were able to isolate the selections down to a realistic number. Hiro continued to probe us with questions until we stood over our final selections and unanimously agreed "That's It! That is exactly what we are looking for!" We simply could not have selected the pieces without his guidance. A team of installers came to our home to work on the installations in tandem. The team was punctual, precise, kind, respectful and understanding of my need to juggle my full time job from home. They finished on time and with an end result that simply left us in awe. Not only by the result of their work, but by the fact that they left the bathrooms cleaner than they found them. And after a 6 week project, there was a LOT to clean. When the shower enclosure representative came to our home to measure, he said (and I quote); "WOW! You can not get any more precise to the levels I am seeing on this installation. I have been in this industry a long time and I have never seen work done with such precision." With that, we would recommend Flooring Direct time any time again for any flooring needs you have. We will continue to use them and will continue to send our family and friends their way. Keep up the good work Flooring Direct. It is hard to find a flooring resource with the quality of product and expertise your team has!

After initially contacting flooring direct online, Hiro G. came to my home on a Saturday to take measurements he also brought samples for me to view. My master bathroom is where I started as its a smaller area and wanted to get a feel and see how well the install would go. Both the master bath room and kitchen had peel /stick and vinyl on the floors. The bathroom was priority one as the floors never looked cleaned no matter how hard I tried. Karen called a few days later once the materials were in. I had to wait a month due to coworkers taking time off before I could schedule my install appointment . Today 3/25/19 the wait was over Vicente and his partner arrived. Inside and outside looked like a construction zone. I didn't lift a finger the guys cleaned inside and outside of my home leaving it in the condition it was found. I am so happy and proud of how the job turned out. 😂😂😁. I pray that I am able to take of the kitchen flooring before the tile I haven chosen for this area is discontinued . A+ service thanks Flooring direct

I am very impressed with Flooring Direct. All their employees were very friendly, professional and responsive. When I mentioned that my older cat sometimes throws up, and the cat food stain is difficult to remove, they recommended a "speckled" carpet that will make any stain less visible, and it looks great. Their pricing is very reasonable, and the new flooring looks great.

They were awesome. They did exactly the work they had in the contract. The price was great and the installers did a excellent job. They were on time and maintained or cleaned the area they worked in.

In short, we had a superb experience. We asked Flooring Direct to take out the old carpet for our entire upstairs and replace with a high quality upgrade. Flooring Direct, from the owner (Dan) down to the installers were on top of the entire process. A latent defect in our subfloor was discovered during the demolition. This issue was handled by Dan and his company with the level of concern and care that would inspire anyone to use his company. The issue was complicated and required additional construction and support. Dan made sure that his contractors delivered an engineered solution that he would have wanted in his own home. I suspect most companies would have bailed and not carried this defect to a solution. Dan and Flooring Direct did this for us. When we looked for a company to re-carpet and fix our subfloor, we were less concerned about cost and more concerned about quality and execution. Flooring Direct delivered beyond expectations including cost.

We chose Flooring Direct solely from reviews on Angie’s List. We purchased a 1972 home and had to move n before renovating. Due to cost overruns the flooring budget was squeezed. FD had a decent product that would unify the living, dining, and kitchen areas for a very good price, about 5-6K. We were not wow’d by any of the process, but we felt the service, choices, etc. we’re fine for the price. Had we been spending more money we would have never considered FD an option. The floors we settled on were suddenly unavailable and we were told to make another choice at the last minute. When they realized we were not settling, they suddenly found the original product. The installation crew was frankly very rough. In our entire remodel they are the only folks that made us uncomfortable. I had asked them to call me before leaving so I could lock up and they instead called to say they had locked up and scaled the back fence to leave. Still, we got a good price, our three rooms looked unified, and we moved on. Fast forward 2 1/2 years. The last room installed in the last corner installed started to get dark stains. The flooring was puckered and it was clear it was due to moisture. We rarely go in the living room, have no small children and a well trained dog, so we were stumped. Checked all the obvious sources for water issues, all checked out. Two other rooms next to this room have original hardwood from 72’. These old floors have no issues, so why would the newer floor? Best guess, the proper sealer/barrier was running low on installation day and the last bit of flooring is now cracking and peeling. Have worked with Karen L at FD and one of their technicians who last Fall was looking for replacement boards, even came by to measure the moisture in the floor and talk with us a few times. Have not heard back since about a September. He insisted the issue was topical. Well, if so, we would likely see it in the kitchen where we actually do use water. We don’t want anything from FD. We don’t want to use their installers again or allow them to put more flooring down that fails, we have wasted enough time (and money). In fact, I hated to even waste my time writing this review. But, we do want to warn prospective customers what they can be getting into in terms of poor installation and follow through. Has proven to be an expensive cheap floor and we have learned our lesson the hard way.

The team from Flooring Direct was very professional, arrived on time each day, and took good care of moving appliances to work on the floor. The old vinyl was at least 17 years old and took some time to remove properly, but the crew worked with smiles and cheerful attitudes. The new tile install went well -- attention to detail around corners and under appliances, baseboards, and the cleanup was much more than we would have expected. 2 days of their time and our kitchen truly looks new -- maybe even cleaner than when they started !! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. It all started out well enough. I called the company and spoke with Ivan and told him I found the company through Angie's List. I was in a slight rush due to the delivery of a new washer/dryer, as my current washer was inoperable. Tom, their salesperson, came to my house on Thursday 08/30/18 and brought tile samples. I narrowed it down to the style, but couldn't decide between two colors. He brought the two different color samples to my house the next day. On Saturday 09/01/18 he came by again to get my final choice of tile and grout color and my credit card information. The following Monday was Labor Day. He told me he would run the 1st 50% of the payment on Tuesday and someone would call me that day to schedule the RUSH installation for either that Thursday/Friday or Friday/Saturday. Tom ran my card on Tuesday, and that is the last I heard from him. I tried to contact him on Wednesday to tell him NO ONE had contacted me regarding the installation. He wouldn't return my phone calls or my texts. I called the company and their installation department had NO IDEA I existed. At first they told me they couldn't install until the following week, but after multiple back and forth calls, their Installation Coordinator "Hiro" guaranteed me the job would be completed that Friday using a Rapid Dry Thin Set and that I could keep my Saturday delivery of the washer/dryer. The job took two days and I had to reschedule the washer/dryer delivery causing me to go an extra week without a washing machine. I signed a document stating the installers left the place clean, but after they left I spent at least 30 minutes cleaning off excess grout on the surface of the tiles and debris in the tracks of my glass sliding doors and on the door themselves. I was told the final 50% payment would be made upon completion, only to discover they ran the final payment the day BEFORE the installation. I had a 10% discount from Angie's List that I was going to present when I made final payment, but I never had that opportunity. I called back and "Ivan" told me to fax the 10% discount to "Bonnie", which I did. And now "Bonnie" will not acknowledge receipt of my fax and she will not return my phone calls. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. They treat customers with complete disregard. I obtained a second quote for a much larger area for them to tile, but I decided to go with another company.

Went perfectly, these are truly great people. We were referred to them by a friend who trades with them.

It went very well. The carpet was very good quality for the price. They did a good job installing it. They did a good job installing the tile. We had a few problems, but they did everything they could to fix them and make sure we were happy with the outcome. We found them to be a very reliable company to work with.

Everything went very well, from Tom stopping by to provide me with an estimate to the scheduling of the work and finally installation by Emanuel, Carlos, and Aiden. I love my new floors which have definitely updated the look and feel of my home.

Had salesman give quote to me & my parents on the 17th of July and , scheduled an appt for July 19th and was told they would be there around 9:30 to 11:00 then they said they would most likely be there at 9:30. My mom called at 11:45 after not hearing "anything" and Ivan said she had to talk to Karen who would call back. She called 2 other times and I called at 1:00 was told by Ivan had to tt Karen she would call in a few mins. I didn't hear from her called again was told same thing. After a 3rd time at 12:45 was finally transferred to Karen who said the installers had mechanical problems with their van and should be there soon. I told her I was very upset that no one could call my 80+parents who were in a vacant townhouse waiting for someone to call or show up! I'm not sure what's happened to Flooring Direct's customer service. .is it because this was not a very big job? I have used them for my house had my entire downstairs done with porcelain tile and recommended them to a friend that had her entire house done with wood. Very unhappy with the customer service and the no need to contact. The installers did do a good job installing the carpet at the townhouse.

I am so happy with my floors. We built our 4 story townhouse about 5 years ago, and carpet on the 3rd floor where the master is was standard. Even though we upgraded the kind of carpet, and it's only my husband and I and 2 cats, the carpet did not hold up well at all. We decided to go with engineered wood as it's a little less expensive than hardwood and we did not want carpet or laminate for future resale. Hiro did our estimate and he was very thorough. There was a concern at the top of the stairs where the hardwood would meet the engineered wood because the hardwood is thicker. Hiro had a solution, but then asked to come back as he thought he might have another option. The second option worked and was even a little less expensive than the original quote. The materials were ordered and came in quickly. They worked with my schedule to do the floors and the installers were great. They were very punctual, professional and courteous. The floors look fabulous! I couldn't be happier. I would definitely recommend them and would use them again.
