I contacted Carrol Johns Flooring and Don called me back within the day. He set an appointment to come to our house, measure and bring samples of possible flooring items. He came exactly when he said that he would.They began the work on a Monday and were finished by Wednesday afternoon. The installers were very courteous and hard workers. They had to scrape lots of paint and miscellaneous stuff off of the concrete to glue down the flooring. This made a terrible mess but they cleaned all of that up before they left.Everything looks amazing. I am so happy that we went with them.

Carrol Johns Flooring did an outstanding job. Ken O'Brien was great to work with, thier pricing was very competitive for work done, tile, and materials used, and his floor installers were top notch. We had a complicated floor install in a master bath with lots of accent pieces. Ken was extremely patient with us, despite changes that we made. In every aspect of their work, Carrol Johns Flooring did a top tier job. Highly recommended. We will be using them in the future for carpet and our kitchen floor. Thanks again Ken!

Maybe Carol Johns Flooring does good work, but it looks like I'll never know. I called three times over the course of a day and a half to tryto get someone to call me regarding setting up an appointment and they couldn’t either make the time to call me or were not interested in a new customer. I’ll look elsewhere for a flooring company that is a little more responsive and wants the work a little more.

I had three highly rated companies from Angie's List come out to give estimates. I originally chose another installer, but because his installation team was booked out 3-4 weeks ahead of time and I needed the install done sooner, I called Carroll John's and they were able to get the products ordered and installed within 2 weeks. Ken our salesperson was friendly and helpful the whole way. He wasn't pushy and let us take our time deciding which materials to use, including letting me take multiple samples home from the showroom to show my wife after hours and see how the colors looked in our home. The installation guys did a great job. They were friendly and courteous, after they introduced themselves and we did a quick walk-through of the job, they got right to work. They were very efficient and knew what they were doing, but they didn't cut corners. For the hardwoods in the hall, they were meticulous in scraping the floor clean of old laminate and glue that was under the old carpet so that the new floor would be perfectly smooth. Before I could ask, they offered to screw down the sub-floor in a couple areas to get of squeaks. After that, they just went about their business installing the floors beautifully. Hardwood feels nice and solid on the subfloor, and the carpet doesn't have any wrinkles or wiggle movement and you can't tell where they put in seams. All the transitions between the wood, carpet, and tile are perfect. I couldn't have asked for a better installation. I would recommend Carroll John's to anyone. The installation was fantastic and the price was competitive if not the lowest (thanks to the 10% Angie's List discount).

We couldn't have been any happier with Carrol Johns. Brian, our project manager, was very professional and responsive to our request, and was accessible at all times during the work. His representatives were friendly, dedicated, punctual and did a beautiful job. I highly recommend them and would use them again without hesitation.

While no work was performed, Brian at Carrol Johns was exceptional in the way he handled a mix-up on my end. When the error was clearly my fault, Brian graciously declined to accept an offer of monetary compensation for their troubles. I cannot speak highly enough of his graciousness and professionalism throughout this process; and if I ever need any future flooring work performed, Carrol Johns will be my first company of choice.

The process took two days; the installers were diligent and professional in every phase of the project. The installation including finishing details such as re-installing floor molding was very satisfactory. The sales person checked in with us several times to see how the work was progressing and to see if we had any questions or issues with the quality of the work or material. Overall, we are very pleased with the service we received from Carrol Johns Flooring!

It ended up being harder work then what they thought, but they did not charge me any extra. They went above and beyond in accomodating my needs. They came out immediately, gave me an estimate the next day and then did the work the day after that. They were professional and did great.

Had an awesome experience with this contractor! Last August/September I found this company via Angie's List and contacted them to come out and give me a quote for our flooring project. Don Potash came out shortly afterwards and brought some laminate and carpet samples. We made our selections and solicited bids from a few other flooring contractors, but no one could touch Don's bid. We decided to go with Carrol John's, but let Don know that it would likely be several months before we had the funds available to begin the job. He was fine with that and, to his credit, did not pester us at all during the time that elapsed before we could begin the job - for which I was very appreciative. January rolls around and we're finally able to begin our project. Don and his crew, Vincente and Paco, immediately got to work. Don stuck around long enough to see that everything was going okay and then took off to meet with other customers. Vincente and Paco were amazing to watch! I was blown away by how quickly all of our furniture was moved and the old floor was taken up. Vincente and Paco worked extremely hard taking extra care not to damage anything, and to avoid damaging our walls (which were just painted the week before). At the end of the first day they had replaced all the carpet in our Living Room, Dining Room, and entry way with laminate, replaced all of the furniture, and completely cleaned up after themselves. The next day was a repeat of the last - Vincente and Paco showed up exactly on when they said they would and wasted no time in getting furniture moved around and the old carpet taken up. By the end of the day our new carpet was installed, everything was put back, and everything was cleaned up ( Paco even dusted all of the furniture in the rooms where they had worked!). The end result - a fantastic job was done! I can't say enough good things about the whole experience. The quality of the workmanship, dedication the customer (me), and overall professionalism displayed are things that all companies should strive for. This whole project went better than I could have imagined. Thank you, Carrol John's, for doing a first-class job in our home! Huge thanks to Don, Vincente and Paco!

They seemed professional enough, but their price was a little bit higher than others.

I spoke with three flooring companies and decided to go with Carrol Johns for several reasons. Don was our salesman and he was knowledgeable, responsive, and the price was competitive. The project took several days longer than estimated but that was not a problem. Wayne was the installer and did a wonderful job. I would rather have a project done right rather than fast. I have a lot of unusual angles in the house and Wayne knew what he was doing. The floors turned out just like I expected and the tile in the bathroom was done neatly and looks great. Everything was picked up and cleaned up before they left everyday and Wayne went out of his way to make sure the house was functtional everyday before he left. I am very happy with the project and will use Carrol John's when I recarpet the second floor of our home.

The sales team was excellent, the service was on time and quick, and I am very pleased with the quality of the work and the materials even 5 months later. I do recommend and would use them again for other flooring projects.

The price was better than the competitors however they were never able to show up for whatever reason. I worked with Chris, we initially scheduled a Sat morning install, learned Friday that Monday would be the next install date. I learned Monday that Tuesday between 9AM-10AM would be the "for sure" install date. At that time on Monday, I began shopping other places incase Tuesday fell through. I went ahead and confirmed with Chris to come out Tuesday and get it done, and had the check ready and my son waiting at the rent house to meet them. After 10:00 I started communicating with Chris to locate the installers, and by 12:15, I canceled, and told my son to leave. We paid more and went with another company whom installed the carpet on Wednesday. I did receive a very nice call from the owner of Carrol Johns explaining that it is not their normal business practices, and from the other member reviews I agree. Possibly just go caught up in a busy spell.

This was the second time I've had carpet installed by this company. Had the measurements made back in April. Signed and emailed the proposal with down payment at the end of June. Scheduled installation for July 5. Got a call from Don at 9 am on July 5 to tell me that the materials had not been delivered. Rescheduled for the next day in the hopes that the materials would arrive in time. They did and the carpet was installed on July 6. On the plus side, Don was courteous and professional enough to call me and let me know there was a problem as soon as he found out. On the minus side, he should have confirmed on the previous Friday that everything was good to go, especially since it was a holiday weekend. This was an annoying, but small hiccup. I will still use this company in the future. I love their installers. They do excellent work. Two guys, two hours. And the carpet looks really nice.

Everything went great with this company. They were very helpful and willing to work through any issues. They were professional and friendly as well. I would recommend this company to anyone.

We contacted Carrol Johns Flooring after reading reviews on Angie's to get a quote on wood flooring in our new home. We needed to install around 2000 sqft. of floors. we visited several stores recommended on this site and of all this was the only company that did not try to push a certain brand on us. They had several brands in our choice of color and price range. It was an extremely good experience dealing with them. We ultimately went with another company because they offered better price on the same brand and color. I would definitely contact them Carrol John's in future for any flooring needs and highly recommend them.

I was really dreading this. I had my daughter help me move things out of closets. Everything was shoved into the dining room. However, there were major items of large furniture that needed to be moved. I could barely sleep the night before dreading the moving of my furniture. All that was silly. They did an excellent job! The crew showed up actually early and were great! Spoke English! Treated my furniture like their own. Asked me where they should start first. So, they moved the furniture for just those rooms they were working in first. The carpeting looks great. However, I learned that this carpet was the middle of the pack as it comes to quality. It is not near as nice as the carpet I replaced. Not as thick. If the sales person had showed me a higher quality of the same carpet, I probably would have gone with it. I got an upgraded version of a good pad, but even that had a better quality I could have been sold. This sales person actually tried to sell down. Told me I could buy the carpet I bought for the living room and get a cheaper carpet for the rest of the rooms. I really wondered why he thought I wanted so cheap. Also, the salesperson was GREAT that first day. Once sold, never heard from him again. Not a good thing. I have another area I want to put down flooring. Either tile or something else. I won't ask for this salesperson again. I will make sure I don't get him. However, I think this company is very good.

I selected this company to get a quote from because of the number of positive reviews and because they said that they provided design consultation and would bring the showroom to you. I scheduled an appointment and an individual named Ken came out. He was very professional (he was late but called to let me know). When he came out to the house he told me that rather than bring tile it would be better for me to go to the Arizona Tile showroom and gave me information as to opening times and location. Not the design consultation help I was looking for in determing the correct tile. Ken measured the floor area (we were doing the kitchen, laundry, powder bath and small hallway). Since we hadn't picked out the tile yet, I asked Ken if he would give me a quote for just the installation. He agreed but I never heard from him again. There are too many people in this line of work to go chasing people. I chose to go with someone else from Angie's List that was a lot more proactive.
