Michael returned my call and we set a date for the quote. He was prompt, and following a review of our home, he made a recommendation as to which wood flooring, providing two samples to review. While we felt the one sample was a very good match for our home, I was not sure I wanted to make a decision on such a limited view of flooring. I felt the quote, while on the high side of my research estimate, was certainly backed up by good reviews, so I knew I wanted this company for its workmanship. Michael also said the work could be accomplished within the next week or two, which fit our schedule. We did not accept the quote that day, and decided to review some local flooring companies to do more comparisons. One company also carried the same flooring as being proposed. Also reviewed the Bella Cera website to research the product more fully. In the end, we decided that while it looked like the Bella Cera Sicily recommendation was from a limited view, it really was the very best match and Michael's professional knowledge had lead him to that recommendation. The following Monday, we called to accept the quote and the process began. All went as planned until the installers pulled up carpet in one of our bedrooms and we found a multitude of ants and a wet corner. We had to contact specialists and make a decision on just how far to go with the floor installation before stopping. The install crew was really good, and very helpful during their two days on the job, and we had to leave about 4 feet of room unfinished. Michael stayed in touch during the approx. two weeks it took to fix the problems, and retested the concrete for moisture during the time. In the end, he recommended we use a more expensive moisture repellent type of glue for the final install, and quoted the price. One of the two installer crews came back out and finished the project, and you would not know it was not done at the time of the original install. The company only charged us a minimal increase for all of the added time to monitor and the added trip for the installers. We love our floors and this company is a really solid and professional team. I would recommend them highly. It is a case of "you get what you pay for", and they are first class.

Overall the experience was great, Don was helpful and professional. The floor is beautiful, we love it.

One thing that I would add. Don came out and spent at least a half hour mapping out our house to make sure he had everything he needed. When the initial estimate came in, it was for more carpet than we expected, based upon a previous quote (where the guy shot through our house with a laser in less than 5 minutes). I voiced my concern to Don, but he stood by his numbers. Sure enough, when we were done, there was only enough spare carpet for a few patches. It turns out that the first guy had really missed something, and it could have been a disaster if we had gone with them. Kudos to Don for being so thorough in his work!

They did the estimate then scheduled the work very quickly. They were very professional and on time. They also cleaned up. Overall, it was a good experience.

I would absolutely hire this company for a future job!

We worked with Michael who, despite his wife having a baby in the middle of our work together, was always friendly, responsive and knowledgeable. I felt like he knew what he was talking about and he easily helped us arrive at the right decision. He was also incredibly patient with us as we had a hard time deciding on what tile we wanted to use and took longer than we probably should have. But, he was able to schedule our work in an expedient manner, and the guys who performed the work were just as friendly and knowledgeable. And quick! The whole install took only one-and-a-half days and they did a great job. My only qualm is with the money side of things. I wish the company had a more formal itemized contract that listed out quantities and prices rather than one lump sum. Michael did provide us with these numbers but it was always very informal, and a line item invoice would have helped us immensely. Also, they forgot to run our credit card for the job until weeks later and that was a bit inconvenient. However, I accept that accidents happen and I don't necessarily hold it against them. Other than that, I would highly recommend this company. They did a fine job.

We hired Carrol Johns to replace our old and outdated carpet in our house in addition to adding carpet to two bedrooms. Our experience with this company was outstanding in every respect. Our schedule was difficult to work around, and Michael, the service and sales representative, adapted very well to all my scheduling changes for the initial meeting to discuss all the options. The installation crew arrived at the promised time, worked very hard throughout the day, and completed the installation perfectly. A fair price with all promises met on a difficult timeline with great communication is the summary of the experience we had with Carroll Johns.

Wonderful! Don Potash was who we dealt with and he was extremely helpful and knowledgeable in helping us choose the best floors for us and his crew (Luis was the lead) were very nice and very professional. There was a very small thing we found a day or so later that could only have been noticed by us, and when I contacted Don he said they would do whatever it took to fix it and they did! We absolutely love our floors and the work Don's team did in installing them. We definitely plan on using again in the future.

Carrol Johns removed the carpet and baseboards. We found underneath some old BES tile that also had to be removed and there was a slight dip and crack in the subfloor that had to be filled. This did not prevent the tile from being laid and the grout, cove baseboards and finish work and cleanup were completed the following morning. They were very professional and worked with me on the cost overrun due to the added tile removal and subfloor repair. I would definitely use them again for my next flooring project.

He only brought samples in total enginnered (2) were doubled sided. 1 sample of tiles. He had no samples he could to leave with us~ so we had to take mobile phone pictures to compare with other floors we looked at. Granted~~ his wife was having a baby the next day~~ in most cases~ you give the appointment to another co- worker. One of my neighbors is also is looking for engineered or laminated floors in her house~~ I will not give this company as a good place to do look~~

Met with Chris at the showroom. We did not have any appointment, but he took lots of time to point us in the right direction for the flooring we needed in our rental home. We live out of state so all the scheduling was done on the phone. Everything went just as planned and they did an awsome job. Also Chris saved us money by showing us good value for the rental market. We wil use them again for any flooring needs in Dallas.

WOW was what I said as soon as they left and WOW is what I'm still saying plus everyone that's seen my new floors! As a new homeowner this was my first big redecorating project so I was tentative, nervous and indecisive but Michael was very patient with me explaining things and coming out several times to show me samples and helping me to decide but never pushing. The installers showed up on time and were nice and very professional and when my neighbor came by during the installation even he was impressed with the extra efforts they had taken before installing. Plus they offered financing which also made the whole thing less scary to this first time renovater. My floors, carpet and tile are absolutely BEAUTIFUL and I would definitely use Carrol Johns Flooring again.

We requested estimate for wood laminate for our dining room and living room. We had gotten two previous estimates before joining Angie's list. As it turned out, both those companies had very poor ratings. We solicited the estimate for Carol Johns based on their ratings in Angie's List. Their estimate was close to the other two and we decided to go with them after meeting their salesperson. He brought samples to our home, was very informative about different options. He told us what to expect and a best guess timing date based on having to order the product we chose. All went according to plan. The crew arrived on time, was very professional and worked efficiently and quickly. The salesperson followed up a few days after installation. That is minor, but we do wish he had called that next day just to check that all had gone well and we were happy. We are sure we could have called, but it would have been better for him to do that followup faster. Again that is very minor. Overall it was a great experience. We plan to put in more flooring in the future and will call them first.

Ken, the salesman was very willing to work through various options and proposals. Wood floors were installed perfectly in one day by Luis and crew. Carpet the next day. Excellent job by Vincente & Paco.

They came and did the job, after we got an estimate. It took them two days,and the workers did a beautiful job, I was very happy with them. They cleaned up after themselves. The guys were very polite, and it was very nice to work with thier employees. Also, the materials are gorgeous.

Michael Potash answered my message promptly and showed up for the estimation on time. He was very knowledgeable for the work and sent back his estimation on time as promised. We did not use this company for our hardwood flooring installation because it is hard for they to fit into our very tight schedule and his price is a little higher than my other quote. I was told they subcontract the woodwork to a dedicated wood professional and this may popped up the price a little.

They were really, really good. We had a little problem with the grout as it appeared to be a different color in certain spots, but they came back out right away to fix it. They didn't put me off at all and were ready and willing to stand behind their work.

.We had a great experience with Carrol Johns flooring. The salesman arrived at the house, with the exactly perfect samples to suit our needs. We were looking for easy-care carpet, a stable walking environment, and a turn-key installation. The carpet was fabulous, soft, and yet very easy for walking, and the installers did an awesome job, careful with the electronics, older furniture, and decorative glass. It was a little more than we had thought to pay, however, I can't regret the decision. The carpet looks great after a few months of wear and the process was easy and problem-free. Highly recommended.

We have enjoyed several pleasant experiences dealing with contactors selected from Angie's List and this was another of those occasions! From the initial sales contact by Don Potash (salesman) through the installation and follow-up, the interaction with the personnel at Carrol Johns met all our expectations. We received personable, competent, and timely service and would recommend this contactor without hesitation. A job well done!

I called the company about removing old flooring in the kitchen and dining room and replacing with vinyl. The representative, Zach, came out and showed me samples. I found one that I liked and he responded quickly with an estimate. There turned out to be a problem with the removal of some of the old flooring and his company was unsure if they could handle the problem. I found another company that was willing to deal with the problem and also had a vinyl pattern I like better. I spoke with Zach on several occasions. He was always polite and professional, even when I called to let him know I was going with another company. The represenatives of Carrol Johns are professional in every way and I would be happy to do business with them in the future. The estimate was competitive. If it had not been for the problem with the old flooring, I feel quite sure we could have done business.
