It was late Saturday afternoon and I was replacing a defective pool light fixture, and the guy from the pool store gave me clear instructions - cut the old fixture wiring near the base, tie the old wiring and new wiring together, and pull from junction box end to thread the new wire to the box. Pretty simple and straight forward, I thought. When the wire seemed to stop making progress about 4' in to the process, I called the pool store and they said pour a little algaecide along the wire and it should loosen up. After a little more progress, it stopped, so I grabbed some larger pliers and gripped and pulled and yanked. And pulled it harder, with a tighter grip on the pliers, until snap! The wire broke and retreated into the conduit, out of grip by about 1.5". That kind of ended the DIY portion of the festivities. I capped the wires from the panel side and closed up the junction box. Then I went to the breaker panel and flipped the pool equipment breaker on (I flipped both the light and pump/blower/heater control breakers as a precaution)-and nothing - no indicator lights on the panel in the house, on the pool or at the equipment box. The sprinkler timer was out as well. So I called it a day. Sunday I reviewed Angie's list for electricians, and found ElectricMan. Monday morning I called Nick and described the situation and he was able to have someone come out and do diagnostic on the breaker, fish the new wire through and make the connection, as well as diagnose any other electrical issues I might have. He explained the services, pricing and estimated time on the phone, answered a couple of my questions. It was clear he'd been down this road a time or two, and I hired him over the phone for a 3 PM appointment. At 1:15 PM, Terry, the technician assigned to the task called and said he'd finished up another job early, and would be able to arrive early, which was perfect for me, as I was finishing up some work out in the field and was heading back down to the office. We met at the house before 2:00 PM, and he quickly figured out the breaker issue (the pool light circuit also powers the controllers for the pool equipment), and by by 3:00 PM the light was installed and he had diagnosed and recommended a solution for the landscape lighting issue. A fantastic outcome for a difficult situation! We will use ElectricMan for the landscape lighting fix when the parts arrive.

Wow! talk about service! I called at 8 am and my work was done by 3 pm! Nick is a faulous and funny dispatcher! I got caught in traffic and was unable to get back to meet the install guy at the appointed time, "No prob" he says, "I'll take an early lunch and be there when you get back!" The work he did was fast and the results are terrific! Had a particularly tough fan installation due to previous owner's shoddy workmanship...no problem no over-charging! I am calling them again now that I understand how great their rates are, and how expediently they get things done. A marvelous experience!

Awesome and great!!! Nick returned our call promptly, the guys who did the work were terrific. Got in, looked at the issues and did everything we asked. They are back today to complete a couple of additional things.

These guys did a great job replacing the electrical panel, adding a grounding rod and an additional circuit for the media center. Both fast and professional, they delivered as promised and for about half the cost of the leading electricians in town. I would highly recommend anyone looking for quality and value to check these guys out.

Electric Man was fabulous! They came out to give me a bid on Monday, the same day I called. Then on Wednesday the work was complete. The electricians were on time, friendly, professional, and knew what they were doing. They completed the work in a reasonable amount of time and cleaned up nicely. They even used my paint to touch up in a few spots. I was very happy with their work and finished product. I would defiantly use Electric Man again.

The entire process went very smooth and we are extremely happy with the results. We would not hesitate to have them do electrical work for us in the future.

They were professional and thorough. I asked questions, and they were happy to answer. They cleaned up. Most of all, they got right to the work and did an excellent job. I definitely would have paid for another electrician or two that would likely have taken longer to do the work.

They were very punctual, and quick doing the work. They didn't leave a mess. I was very happy with their work. I was using another electrician for the past few years, but Electricman has a better price point, and they are very good. I'll use them every chance I get.

He was not able to complete the job because the new chandelier's wiring was too short. We discussed options and I decided to get another chandelier rather than rewiring. I'm going to schedule anther service call with them this week.

Service man arrived within the scheduled time. Very nice and professional. Charged by the hour so he got right to work and didn't mess around. Waived "heat charge" normally used this time of year since work was performed in the morning. Gave 10% discount for being an Angie's List member. I'll call them again the next time I need an electrician.

The overall experience from start to finish was like a breath of fresh air. I totally enjoyed meeting Nick and his crew was very prompt and very nice and easy to work with. They did an excellent job and I am totally impressed with my new lights and will definitely have them out to do some more work in other rooms. Thanks for a wonderful experience and great quality!!!!

Excellent. The pool company came back after they had checked everything and still said it was electrical. They came back and double checked their work at no charge and spoke with the pool tech to guide him through the electrical work. It was something inside the pool control box and the pool tech was able to diagnose and fix with the help of Electric Man.

ElectricMan was probably one of the best vendor I've worked with updating my home. When I initially was getting estimates from other electricians, I had people that missed appointments, wouldn't return calls as they promised, and were quoting fee that was at times two times the quote I got from ElectricMan. Rick made it a point to come to my house and deliver a quote same day even though he was on a tight schedule just to meet my schedule. They showed up the following week with a crew three times the size others were promising and they worked through a 12 hour day just to get the job done IN ONE DAY!! And these were not your inexperienced apprentice they sent - these were journeymen and higher that knew what they were doing and the work was flawless. We've been so pleased with their work that we don't even consider another electrician for other updates we're looking to make on the home. I had put in a replacement outlet outdoors because the original did not work. After connecting and restoring power to the outlet, the circuit on the west side would not work and some weird things happened when I would turn on a light switch such as it affecting the the sprinkler timer. Called Electricman on Wednesday based on ratings in Angie's List. The dispatcher said the earliest they could come out would be Friday morning as the second call due to heavy volume on Thursday. Estimated that the time would be between 10:30 and 12:30. Jeremy called at approximately 11:30 and said he was sorry about being late and that he would be here as soon as he could drive from the Balch Springs area. Arrived about 12:15. He and Cody were neatly dressed, polite and kept me informed every step of the way from diagnosis to installing a neutral ground for the entire circuit that was causing the problem. He showed me the melted wirenut and explained why there was a problem and what they had to do to correct the problem. They reinstalled the replacement outlet and let me know that installing the outlet was just fortuitous circumstance the led to the neutral ground problem. Will definitely use them again.

Nick came out, diagnosed and explained the wiring set-up on my bad pool timer, then showed me how to replace it and wire the new unit. He saved me money by showing me how to do it rather going the expensive and unnecessary route of having him or one his guys do it. I will definitely use them again.

Being business owners for 32 years in Plano ourselves we appreciated the way he runs his business.

They were quick to set a time, they arrived on time, they were professional, nice, pleasant, did the work, even added a brace to the ceiling fan which made it more stable. They were not able to repair my entertainment center lights. However, they did charge me $70 to tell me this. They cleaned up after their work and did everything else quickly and efficiently. The only issue was the price. When I called I called originally they told me there would be $49 fee to come out and a $70 fee to do the estimate. That was okay. However, they also told me charges after that would be at the rate of $75 per hour. I was not charged by the hour, I was charged by the item, and the cost was more than I was quoted. However, once I made the owner aware of the difference in cost between what he quoted me and the final bill presented to me after the work, he adjusted the bill to w/in range of the original quote. I appreciated that he worked with me on the price. Would recommend them based on the quality of their work.

Setting the appointment was easy. The tech showed up on time and got the problem fixed quickly.

Set up the appointment on a friday and they were there on monday. Terry and Cody called me 30 minutes prior to the appointed start time, showed up on time, and did the work under 2 hours. They did a fine job and were very professional. I'd use them again.

Two technicians came to my house. They were prompt and very nice. They took the time to explain everything to me. After all the work was completed the invoice was explained completely and I didn't have to ask for the Angie's List discount. It was offered from the start. I would definitely call them again.

We woke up early Sunday morning to a buzzing sound and electrical smell coming from our floor, which turned out to be a short under our hardwoods. Obviously a potentially dangerous situation that required immediate service by a professional. I searched Angie's list and found ElectricMan, as well as several others. Nick was the only vendor that called me back immediately (within 2 minutes). He arrived within an hour and even called to give an ETA (which he met). Nick was very professional and did excellent work at a fair rate. I will definitely use ElectricMan again. Thanks Nick!
