Called Nick on Friday morning with a long list of small items to fix. He actually had a team at my house 2 hours later. Brian and his crew made short work of the fixes. They are not inexpensive. But they are an excellent value. I will call them again when I need electrical work, absolutely!

We had a Federal Pacific breaker box in our home, built in 1951. Because of the age of our home, we knew that replacing this box would be a job for very experienced and capable electricians. We found those people at Electricman. We wanted a safe, reliable breaker box and one grounded outlet in each of 4 rooms of our house, in locations where our computers (or TV) might be plugged in. One of the rooms was an addition built over the garage, which made the job more complicated. I first spoke with Damon who was excellent at explaining what is involved in the work we needed done. At this point, I knew Electricman was our choice. The bid was competitive, and the competence was superior. Nick came to the house later in the week to troubleshoot some problem areas, such as where to locate the new breaker box. On 4/4/14, at 9:00, 4 Electricman trucks arrived with 6 licensed electricians - Damon, Tim, Rafael, Jordan, Mariano, and Terry. They worked as a team and began immediately, working all day throughout the house, under the house, and in the attic, finishing the entire job in one day. The work was done with almost no damage to the sheetrock, and they cleaned up after themselves before leaving. Throughout the day each electrician was a true professional. This company was very responsive and scheduled the work soon after I had the first meeting with Damon. Electricman can handle the big jobs quickly, efficiently and professionally.

I told them about an old fuse box in the closet and they found a blown fuse. I had a spare and replaced the blown fuse and the problem was solved.

I liked them because they did exactly what they said they would do and they were very prompt. They also used the same price that they quoted and they did great work. The job was done very quickly too.

2 gentlemen from Electricman showed up at approximately 9:40 (on-time). I had previously received a verbal estimate from the owner, Mr Schaeffer, so they got to work immediately. They were dressed in company uniforms and their truck was well maintained and very presentable (speaks well of the company and the pride they have in their business). The servicemen, Tim and Jordan, were neat, clean, polite and professional. They spoke well of the firm (which is a good sign also). They also showed me what they were doing and why they were doing it. They were well-equipped and brought a 16 foot step ladder to service 2 of the recessed lights in my family room (ceiling height of 20 feet). They also gave me good advice for on-going maintenance. I would have these gentlemen back again. I would call on Electricman again for my future needs.

they got here on time and i was worried because i thought that it would cost me a bunch of money based upon their hourly pricing. however, they got after it and finished the whole job within one hour and based upon this, they were extremely reasonable.

I called to set up an appointment and was scheduled for a couple of days out, I ended up having to reschedule due to an emergency and even though it was just the day before, they were able to reschedule me again just a couple of days out. Tim showed up right on time, if not a little early, after calling to say he was on his way. He got all the work done in less than 40 minutes or so. He even showed me exactly what I did wrong when I had tried installing the digital timer myself (now I know). He was full of information, answered questions, was extremely nice, and the work he did performs perfectly as it should. Zero issues or complaints.

I called Electricman on 2-13-2014 and explained where I was located to make sure that I was within their service area. I then explained what I wanted to have done which was: (1). Install new electrical wall outlet (2). Install Network Connection port outlet. My appointment was scheduled for the morning of February 19th. On February 19, I received a phone call from the service technician that he was on the way and would be at my home between 10 and 11 a.m. At about 10:30 a.m., two service technicians named Damon (the lead technician) and Jordan arrived at my home. They arrived in a professionally painted van which displayed the Electricman name in large letters and the technicians had shirts that identified them as Electricman technicians as well. So it was apparent that this was a professional company and I had no concerns about letting them into my home. I then explained to Damon and Jordan what I wanted done and showed them where I would like the two outlets to be installed. It was obvious that to perform the work would require some attic work so Damon and Jordan used the attic access to scope out the size of the necessary work. Because of the way my home is built, they weren't able to determine exactly what would be necessary to do the work so Damon proposed that they do the job on a "time and materials" basis and I agreed with a stipulation on the maximum that I wanted to pay. Damon and Jordan then began to perform the work and completed the job in about 1 1/2 hours. I was very pleased with this result since I had anticipated that the job might require 3-4 hours. The total that I paid for this service was $307 ($49 service call + $20 materials + $255 (labor for to men 1 1//2 hours) - $16 angieslist discount. I think that this was very fair for the work that was done. The new electric outlet worked great but there was no way to test the new network connection port since I needed to do some work myself in the garage where Damon and Jordan had run the network cable. They then left. Later when I completed my garage work and tested the network port, I found that it did not work properly. I then called Electricman and explained the situation and that it was partially my fault since there had been no way to verify the connection when Damon and Jordan were at my home. I mentioned that there as no particular urgency on my part, so they could come back whenever convenient. On February 25th, I received a call from Damon who said that they were close to my neighborhood and could be at my home in about 30 minutes. They came back as promised and we discovered the wiring problem. It was quickly corrected and verified within 1/2 hour. Even though the problem was partially my own and I was willing to pay for an additional service charge , Damon did not charge me anything for coming back. I am very pleased with the results of their work. Highly recommended.

At first, Nick was a bit reluctant to take on a job in Fort Worth, as he is based in north Dallas, but our job was large enough to warrant the commute. When he came out for the estimate, I found him to be friendly and knowledgeable. While not the least expensive, his bid was reasonable and I was impressed with his professionalism, so we chose ElectricMan. Note that he did offer a 5% Angie's List discount on the work. Nick's crew did a good job from start to finish. They were working in a pretty tight spot?existing low-slope roof just above the ceiling, for example?and they did the best they could not to disturb more drywall than necessary. We are planning for a future addition and other upgrades, and Nick and his crew prewired junction boxes to accommodate those upgrades without having to rework the walls again in the future. We had a little miscommunication on one of those junction boxes; Nick made a suggestion to his crew that I was unaware of, and they didn't act on it because they weren't sure whether we wanted to install it. But he sent his crew back to address that in a follow-up visit, and they charged us a minimal amount for that additional work. Also, the crew worked around our existing exterior siding to install the new (larger) meter base; rather than cut the siding further back, they installed an adapter to step out the meter base from the wall slightly. Unfortunately, they did this without consulting me first, or I would have had them cut the siding back to allow for a straight riser run. All in all, though, Nick and his crew did a great job. I would use them again.

Technician showed up on time. Quickly located the source of our problem. Explained the problem to us in terms we could understand and explained what needed to be done to correct the problem. He completed the repair in short order. The technician was professional, efficient, courteous, and answered all our questions.

Damien and Jordan were WONDERFUL. Thanks guys! I called Electricman because I had hired a different electrical company and discovered they were doing the job in a different manner than was originally agreed upon -- and not within code. I called Nick at Electricman and he set me straight as to what I needed to do without my actually engaging him in a job at that time. He was very informative and spent his time telling me all of the things I needed to know to ensure that my home was safe. My attorney then advised me to hire an electrician to inspect the work of the original electrician so naturally I called Electricman and am so happy that I did. The guys came out on time, were very professional and helpful while I photographically documented the incorrect work that was done by the other company. I am going to get Electricman to come back and do more work at my house and feel 100% confident that it will be done within code and in a very professional manner. I can't say enough good things about this company!

Very punctual, very friendly, informative and replaced the outlet and switch very quickly! Did not suggest unneeded repairs. Very knowledgeable - found the problem very quickly. Will definitely use them for all of my electrical needs!

I called today and explained that the mobile dog grooming serve ice had blown a breaker in my house. After listening patiently he told me he would be happy to come fix it, but that I could do it myself. I was sure I had tried. He gave quick instructions about how much pressure to apply and told me to try again. It worked!, he could have easily come out and charged me. He didn't! He has earned my trust! He is the one I will call in the future.

On Saturday, we lost power in back of house and garage. I decided to schedule someone for Monday as I did not want to pay weekend overtime. I had checked all the circuit breakers and GFIs myself. Couldn't find the problem. Called Electricman late Sunday afternoon to schedule someone to come out Monday a.m. Nick said the calendar was full but he could send someone out this afternoon. He also suggested a could of things first to save me some money. I tried those but nothing worked. Nick told me the fee would be $180. (I had called someone earlier who told me their fee was $240 ... on Monday!) Electricman had someone (Tim) at my home within the hour. Tim was pleasant, even had a good sense of humor for having to come out on a Sunday evening. He was efficient and worked quickly. It took some detective work, but he eventually found the source of the problem and promptly fixed it. We were totally pleased!

We thought we had a major problem with electricity at a new property that was vacant for some time. We couldn't turn on some lights and the AC did not work. Joe, one on Nick's guy arrived as promised. He gave me heads up when he was on his way and I did not have to wait at all.. Very punctual. He was courteous and efficient. It turned out that nothing was wrong with the electricity and all he needed to do was to turn on the right switches in the electricity box. Nonetheless, he climbed to the attic, checked the AC unit and also showed me where the power box is located outside of the house. Since nothing was broken or unwired, he refused to bill me. He waived a trip charge although he had to drive 20 minutes from his previous location and spent a good 15 min with us, explaining what (and where) switches need to be on. So kind! I called Nick to thank him personally. He told me that "it's not always about the money" and that we didn't need to be panelized for something simple we didn't know. What and exceptional service. (just in comparison: we used Richardson plumbing for a similar heater issue (that we did not know how to get on "pilot" mode --- again they had nothing to fix but the trip charge was $110). Rick is a decent businessman. I full heartedly recommend him!

Had a quick response to my initial call for service to provide wiring with proper voltage for a countertop range. Providers came on the day arranged and on time. They got right to work and made all the changes at the breaker box and in the kitchen under the counter. The following day a range was placed with no electric problems encountered then or since. Cleanup after the job was immaculate and the technician was totally professional and respectful of my home at all times. Cost for the project was in my opinion very reasonable considering it included labor and various required parts including outlets. I could not have asked for a better service from beginning to end. On top of it all, I think he had a really cool truck!! In my experience you can predict the quality of a mans work by the appearance and condition of his transportation! I would use them again for any electric issues without question or concern.

It was a positive experience. They were very professional, showed up on time and performed the services as discussed in a timely manner. I wish I would have known going into the service that they charge a minimum upfront fee for the first hour.

Lousy. I was able to make the appointment over the phone but the day of, Joe called early to let me know he was on his way. 1.5-2 hours before he was scheduled. I get that contractors want to get their day started, but I was working from home and had calls scheduled for this time--which is why I chose to have him come at 10:30am. I had to call him back and let him know. He seemed confused at first (as if he wasn't given the time of 10:30am) but agreed. He showed up a few minutes past the time we had agreed on and was very nice. He listened to what I needed done, offered some suggestions for how to fix it. What I needed done: - I am installing a garage door opener where there isn't one currently so I needed electrical run to the other garage bay, the lightswitch inside moved outside (so the controller can be attached there). - I hope to install sprinklers and wanted the electrical done for that. So, put in a line and place the GFC outlets on the west facing wall. My water softener will also use this outlet. - My AC blower was never given it's own circuit so it will need to be placed on it's own. I also explained to him the electrical situation (lots of stuff was wired on Circuit 6 lol) and asked him to itemize out how much it would cost to put each of the rooms upstairs on their own circuit to off load #6. He agreed that he would itemize out the estimate by both materials and labor. I thought 'Perfect! I will know how much each project will cost and can get the ones done that I need'. Joe promised I would get the quote by Friday (this was Wednesday) or at least by Monday. He took my email down and left. And then I waited. I called on Tuesday to find out where my quote was. The guy who answered the phone seemed to have little idea what I was looking for but said he would check and then call me back. And then I waited. I called again on Wednesday and was promptly transferred to Sharon, who apparently had the quote sitting on her desk. She told me 'So glad you called us back!' when she greeted me but dismissed my statement of 'called you back? I never got a message!'. She emailed me the quote after talking to me and getting my email address--again. I did receive the quote. But it was not itemized by project and then labor and materials, as I had asked for. Instead, there was a charge for dispatch ($49), materials ($700) and labor ($1360). For a total of $2109. Given this information, I haven no idea how much the main projects (garage door opener, blower and electrical for sprinklers/water softener) costs vs rewiring the upstairs rooms. I called back and asked for an updated quote that was itemized how Joe promised me it would be and was told that Joe is very busy (very in demand) and will get it to me soon. It's been 13 days since that call and I have yet to get a phone call or an email with an updated quote. Leads me to believe they don't want this work and would rather do either bigger jobs or a whole wiring project that is straight forward. I am disappointed in my experience as these guys have won the Angie's list award and gotten many good reviews. But unfortunately, there's no way I'll be using them ever due to their unresponsiveness and general unprofessionalism when it comes to giving the customer what they have asked for.

Encore insisted that my meter connection needed to be remounted. They came out very swiftly and did the work. They also pulled the permit with the city of dallas and coordinated my inspection. They did an awesome job and we were able to complete the job quickly and before the deadline.

Extremely pleased with their work and professionalism. Will definitely be usin them again. Terry is the man!!

It went pretty well. They were scheduled to come at 9:00AM, but called beforehand that morning stating they would be a little late due to transportation issues. They arrived at about 9:30AM or so. To make up for this they sent two guys instead of one, which made the job get done twice as fast since one could install the surge protector while the other did all the electrical inspections explained in the coupon that was purchased. They were also nice enough to do basic diagnosis of one of our lights in the living room that does not have any power. They confirmed that it wasn't getting any power and would have to charge more to fully diagnose. I decided to opt out and address that issue another day. The whole thing took about an hour and a half. They were out of there by 11:00 or so.

He was excellent about calling back and calling before he came to my house. He was prompt, professional and efficient. He even went to the store to get me the correct lightbulbs for the new fixture and he got me extra as well. This company has excellent service and I would recommend him to others!
