Daryl Howard - Master Electrician Inc

I have nothing but praise for Daryl and his crew. Daryl came out to bid the job. He was punctual, and very knowledgable. I had done my homework on the safety issues with the Federal Pacific panels, and I could tell by his answers to my questions that he knew what he was talking about. Never once, though, did I feel any sales pressure. He promised a bid in a couple of days. When he left, I was hoping the bid would be competitive, because I trusted him. When the bid came in, it was significantly lower than others I had received - I hired him. On the day of the work his men arrived while Daryl was pulling the permit at the city. The job went without a hitch - the guys were very friendly, and I enjoyed chatting with them as they worked. Everything was done as contracted - total work time was about 8 hours. Daryl arranged for an inspection with the city. The inspector told me that he was a student of Daryl's in trade school, and he thought highly of him! Daryl Howard is now 'my electrician'. I highly recommend him.

We have used Daryl Howard several times and his company's work is outstanding!! They are always very knowledgeable, punctual and reasonably priced. I am planning on using them for several more projects! I would recommend this company to all my family and friends.

Daryl was incredibly professional, knowledgeable and flexible. He worked with our last minute delivery of a new oven so he could make sure the electrical installation went smoothly. Another electrician has quoted us for a complete rewiring, and when Daryl told us it was a simple fix and he saved us a ton (not to mention saved us from a headache!). I could not recommend him enough and I will hire him for future electrical work.

Excellent, timely and very clean work. The work was done inside and outside a 60 year old two story condominium unit, so lots of challenges to overcome. Daryl and crew accomplished all I contracted for and more, at less that the estimated cost. Much simpler sheetrock repair than I anticipated due to Daryl's expertise and care when cutting the sheetrock for wiring access. Daryl's suggestions saved time and money! The piece of mind is priceless!

Process was smooth and easy from start to finish. Daryl was accommodating to my work schedule and was able to come out to estimate the work for me at a convenient time. Was thorough with his overview and very reasonable on price and time to work completion. I was not able to be home for the install, but fully trusted Daryl and his workers to complete the job. They did excellent work.

Daryl and his team arrived on time and accomplished all tasks within a day. After they found out that an existing fan was not installed properly, which could cause harm to household, they re-installed it. I appreciate their work, their detail-oriented attitude and the outcome is satisfying. Thank you

I chose Darryl because of the great reviews he received. However, I am now looking on Angie's List for other options. First, it was extremely difficult to actually get in touch with him and then scheduling a time was worse. Then, he had his assistant Justin do the work but I received no indication of what he had done and no bill for months afterward. I had to call several times before I could get the bill (Darryl did say his computer had been at fault). The bill was over $300 for the work I described above - Justin did replace the plug with the breaker but now, about 2 months later, it is bad and I have waited now three days without any attempt to set an appointment. Perhaps this is because Darryl is so busy but that doesn't help any new customers. So I will be looking at other recommendations in order to get someone who is more available and more responsive.

I am very pleased with the quality of Daryl's work as well as the reasonable cost. He arrived promptly at the agreed-upon time and went right to work to neatly install the protective device, A really great job!

The electrical lines that came from the provider pole to my house outside was set up underneath the roof line and hung low coming across the yard. The house is from 1955 and was grandfathered into not having to fall in line with code. I contacted Mr Howard about getting an estimate to have the Electrical brought to code. He came out and looked it all over, was very polite and gave me a way more reasonable estimate than the other 2 electrical companies that had come out. The day we scheduled Mr Howard was there on time. He did some prep work while he waited for his crew to arrive. They got there shortly after. He introduced me to his crew of Jason and Justin then went through everything with them that needed to be done. Mr Howard then left to the next job and his crew followed through with the work. They did an great job. They were super nice, thorough, cleaned up after themselves and walked me through what they had done when they were finished. I would not hesitate to work with again or recommend Mr. Howard and his crew at all. They did an excellent job and didn't try to over sell me like some others. It is so hard to know who to trust these days but I felt Mr. Howard provided that old fashioned, honest, quality level of business that is what I look for in a business.

Only great things to say of Daryl and his team! From the first meeting to get a quote, Daryl was wonderful. He walked through each of the projects with me and discussed my wants/needs. He made suggestions that he thought would be better and I would like more for similar cost. Then provided me with a quote in a timely manner. His quote gave me options on materials and with a more expensive switch was still 500 dollars lower than the other quotes I received. His crew did the work and they arrived on time did a short walk of the house and projects and went straight to work. They worked so fast and efficiently finishing the work within 4 hours. It was exactly to my wants and what Daryl and I had discussed. They gave me additional information of items I may want to be careful of and suggestions on light bulbs and really went the extra mile to make sure I was happy. Definitely would recommend them to anyone!

All went very well. Daryl's son-in-law Justin came out with another gentleman. They were polite, knowledgeable, efficient, brought all necessary parts, very successfully installed our two new fixtures, and cleaned up. All of our requests were respected, eg putting on gloves so as not to get finger prints on our new high gloss stainless fixtures. They helped put our dining table back in place etc. We would definitely call them again.

Excellent! Daryl & his team are great. They do fantastic work, keep things neat, and it's clear they know what they're doing. (I've had bad electrical work before, and this was not that!) Also, they're just plain nice, so it's perfectly fine having them working in your house. :)

These guys are amazing. I was expecting to have to hire a drywall man to come in to patch holes left by the electricians. There were no holes!!! They were so clever in how they ran wiring in ceiling and walls to accommodate a pairof sconces and a chandelier. This is the second time I've used Daryl and his team and they are all first rate and take obvious pride in their work.

Daryl came by the property to give us a bid in person, followed up with a professional quote via email and scheduled the work for the following week. Daryl's electrician, Justin arrived on time with supplies ready. They did great work and cleaned up after themselves. Highly recommend Daryl and his team.

We wanted more lighting on the sides of our home for security purposes. We decided to purchase four motion sensor fixtures and made our choice based on Daryl Howard's recommendation. We are very pleased with the lights. Mr. Howard was prompt in his email response. He called the morning of the appointment and arrived right on time. I had asked for an estimate before he even saw the job and he was able to give a very accurate estimate based on his knowledge and experience. We were very impressed with his professionalism and attention to detail. We would definitely hire him again and recommend him highly.......and he guarantees his work for a year!

All aspects of working with Daryl Howard electricians were very enjoyable. He responded to all messages and came in at the lowest quote of 6 electricians. The electricians arrived on time and were very thorough, going above and beyond.

Daryl, owner and master electrician gave professional advice for my home's electrical issues as well as an itemized estimate. Justin and Jason, both long term electricians with the company were prompt, professional and perfectionist with all issues. I was most impressed with the creative way they protected our marble dining room table while hanging the pendant chandelier above. It involved sawhorses, 2 x 6's, ladders and 2 very careful electricians. The guys were excellent to work with and I was very confident in the completion of all the work I had done. Time, labor and materials were a bit more expensive than the original estimate however Daryl insisted on charging only by the original estimate. Obviously an excellent company with integrity. I will definitely use this company for all of our electrical needs.

Daryl quickly determined the services I needed, went to hardware store for me and purchased materials, quickly returned and did a thorough job of performing the tasks. It was determined that one lighting repair required a transformer that had to be specially ordered. He placed the order and returned a week later to complete installation. In the interim period, although he had completed most of the work initially, he did not ask for any payment until her completed the entire work requirement.

Darryl came out two or three times to help us install new ceiling lights and check out their switches, among other things. It sounds simple, right? But not in an older home, and especially not in one that has had so much DIY work in the past. (And then my husband added one more DIY attempt, in between Darryl's visits.) Add to that an online light fixture that came with the wrong stuff in the box. All of that tinkering can be a major pain in the **** to a professional used to working in commercial settings, I imagine. Yet Darryl patiently and meticulously helped us sort it all out and re-do it right. He is a gem. If he is flawed in any way, it might be in his aesthetic sense :). The kitchen ceiling fixture was installed with a chrome brace directly facing the room's entrance instead of a section of the glass surface -- a very minor visual issue, but one I could have prevented if he had asked me to take a look before he fastened everything down. I didn't notice until the next morning. If such things would bother you, hang out and ask to take a look before everything is fastened tight. Darryl had to make one last visit when my husband made a failed attempt to put in the replacement for the bad fixture we'd had on hand when Darryl originally came out. It only took a few minutes for him to install, but Darryl (rightly) needed to charge his full minimum fee for the visit. He asked several times whether there wasn't something else he could to while here, to "earn" that charge. As far as we were concerned, he earned it driving all that way back to fix our mistake - we were just grateful for his good work and his patience with the whole thing. House is now sold and we are moving out of state. We will miss having Darryl as our electrician.

Daryl was easy to communicate with throughout the project. His team was quick to help and allowed for modifications as the project progressed. I even bumped into them at HomeDepot, asked a question and they came to my house within hours to address a non-urgent concern. His work is neat, clean and timely. I was updated throughout the project. The work passed each inspection easily.
