Description of Work: Daryl replaced my rope lighting in my LR & BR with LED lighting. He also replaced the incandescent bulbs with LED bulbs in my dining room, the utility area and the master bathroom. Daryl also fixed an incandescent bulb in the master bath. He also replaced the dimmer switches in all areas.

 + -1 moreTerrific. Darryl returned my call, took down the information, appeared when he planned to, assessed the problem and provided a fix. He explained that our circuit panel needed to be upgraded but didn't push us to afford it right now and instead told us what we could do to keep functioning.
Description of Work: We had blown a circuit and were in urgent need of assistance due to a big remodeling project going on. We also had an uncapped live wire (don't ask) that needed to be handled.

 + 0 moreDaryl and Justin arrived a little late - but Daryl had been good about calling and telling me about it before hand. While Daryl worked with the wiring, cutting holes in the ceilings and installing the boxes, Justin unpacked and assembled the ceiling fans. Justin then headed for the attic where he worked with the wiring in the attic, while Daryl handled the wiring in the switches. After the wiring was in place, they installed the ceiling fans to my specs perfectly. The wall switches worked the light kits on the fans while the fans were hot all the time. The speed and on/off function for the fan would be handled from the chain. I was impressed with the industry and teamwork exhibited by Daryl and Justin as they tackled this job.
Description of Work: Ran wire from existing switches to create new boxes in ceilings for two fans in upstairs bedrooms.

 + 0 moreThis was my first contractor to really work on my house and it couldn't have gone better! He is VERY knowledgeable (he teaches the master level classes) and able to share it in a way that you can make informed price conscience decisions. He was on time, quick, and thorough. He even worked with me on the price when I called out another master electrician found on Angie's List as well, that came in about $200 cheaper, but I couldn't really make that trust connection with him. Daryl was able to work with my budget and still provide high level service. I really can't say enough. He will be called back out when I want to finish the rest of my minor electrical needs.
Description of Work: Daryl came out and repaired several things lingering from my inspection report two years ago and the primary task of fixing my fuse box, that had two overloaded switches. Other items included installing a new porch light with a built in timer, flipping wrongly wired outlets, installing motion detectors, and installing two combo outlets.

 + 1 moreDaryl responded to my call within a day. He showed up promptly on the agreed upon day and spent about 4 hours. He was professional, took time to explain the wiring problem (with a diagram) in the dining room, and made a helpful suggestion about an outside line. I plan to have him back to do some wiring in the garage.
Description of Work: Daryl installed two replacement ceiling fans, replaced two dimmers with toggle switches, and replaced two other old light switches. In addition, he fixed a funky wiring problem that had the ceiling fan in the living room connected to the dimmer for the chandelier in the dining room. Every time you raised the lights in the dining room, it killed the power to the fan in the living room. After several trips into the attic and a bit of experimenting, Daryl figured out the problem and fixed it.

 + -1 moreDaryl has performed many services for me (and my neighbors) over a period of 5 years. I live in a 40 year old condo that has needed upgrading and Daryl has always been able to assist me and gives sound advice. He and his assistants are knowledgeable, on time, clean, and polite. He takes the time to explain what he is doing if you ask. I can't recommend him enough! Note: It may take a couple of days for him to call you back unless it is an emergency. Currently he is very busy but you can always schedule with him in advance. I find the wait worth it since I trust his work.
Description of Work: He installed an outlet for a 30-Amp 3-Prong Dryer Cord that used my last available circuit. He has replaced all my ceiling fans, most of the outlets and light switches, the stairwell fixture, the front door fixture, and under-kitchen cabinet fixtures. I tend to accumulate a punch list of tasks over a period of time and have him come out for the morning to complete everything. On behalf of my condo assn, he also takes care of my building's 40 year old fixtures and our power boxes.
