I had to call the company directly after several days of no response. I spoke to Julia who apologized for not responding; I explained the situation and she said it 'sounded' like an $1,800 job; she then set up an appointment for April 12 to actually assess the driveway repair. Wendell came and gave a quote of $2,500; I asked him about all discounts and the $1,800 initial quote from Julia. He said they could honor that amount and he'd send an invoice for the project. I texted him my email address that and day as requested. To date, I haven't heard from either one of them. I will adjust my review if I do but at this point, I'm disappointed I have to 'chase down' a company through Angie's List and directly with no results.
Description of Work: I requested through Angie's List for a quote on mud-jacking to repair a portion of my driveway where a slab has been sinking.

[Member Name Removed], My apologies for the delay in sending the estimate but a revised estimate was sent on 4/20/17 the day before the review? Wendell said he had communicated with you. When I spoke to you and gave you the minimum charge it was $1800.00. I explained the process of the special dirt and the time involved in a mud jacking project. If you have any questions regarding the process call me. If you didn't receive I can resend to you. Please let me know. Thank You Julie

They Missed both scheduled appointments without calling explaining they would be late. Both I had to call them to ask how much longer agreeded upon a time and they still did not arrive on time. So I cancelled the appointment and for the second one he came anyway and called to say they were there -- too LATE I was at work and was too disappoint to reschedule for a third time. I have requested my $25 refund and they have yet to respond.

I expected the rep would go upstairs and down looking for cracks and checking how the doors and windows opened and closed. Those are the things my home warranty company ask me about. Instead the rep took measurements, as shown above, and said that was all that was needed to determine if there was a foundation problem. He did leave a list of structural engineers I could call for a more detailed inspection and report. He did not leave me anything in writing for what he did. Since I only paid $20 for the service I received that much information, just not what I expected.
Description of Work: He took measurements around the outside of the house and floor level on first floor. From those measurements he said he could tell that there is no foundation problem.

I called Dallas Foundation Repair to fix a crack that we had in the back patio porch. They replied to the Big Deal purchased two days later and got more information regarding the crack and told me they couldn't fix it. I give them points though because although they couldn't do it, they did give me a name and number of a company who could better assist me. Great customer service skills.

Workers dug holes to install the piers, then returned a few days later to fill the holes back in. They even repaired some of the decorative brickwork, which I did not think was even included in the price. They diligently cleaned up after themselves and hosed down the driveway before leaving. For the money I paid, I am extremely pleased with the work that was performed, and would recommend them others.

I saw this customer who wanted an estimate for a small concrete job. I went to see him. After looking a the project I told him I needed go to my car and get my measuring wheel. He insisted on doing the measurements himself and reading them off to me, which is probably why they were wrong. I emailed the client an estimate and he was happy with the price and wanted to schedule the work. I then sent him the formal quote. He then cancelled the job last minute by an email that had profanity in it which he emailed to my assistant who did not deserve this type of email swearing at her. She only tried to help him get the job scheduled which she did immediately after getting his approval and was extremely courteous to him . I am glad we did not work for this man as I can only imagine how he would have treated the rest of my staff. I sent the client a message saying I was sorry we could not help him even after he was rude to my office staff and I never heard back from him.. This is the type of customer no one wants.

I purchased the certificate in early December and it stated that someone would contact me in 2-3 days. I still haven't heard from them to set up an appointment. I realize it was during the holidays, but December 7th was early in the month, but I thought they would at least call. I rated them average on most items because I haven't had them here, I will wait until Monday, January 5th and then I will request my refund.

The estimate went well. The beginning of the foundation repair went well; meaning the digging and removal of the dirt went good. We ended up having 15 holes dug and piers poured. The crew was pretty sloppy when it came time to transport the cement around the house. They were also careless with their own personal trash throughout the day. At the end of each day we had to go out and pick up after them and throw their trash away (i.e., water bottles, chip bags, etc.). After the cement piers were poured there is a standard 8 day drying period. That was when we wanted the cement work around the pool to be completed. Then, one of the workers wives' had a baby, so nobody showed up for another 3 days, which put everything behind again. None of the workers spoke English, which made it extremely dificult to communicate. I don't mind if they don't speak English, but in my personal opinion, if you're going to run a business, and you send a crew out to do a job, it's common sense to have at least one person to be able to speak English to communicate in case problems arise. We had problems communicating while the concrete around the pool was being poured, as we were also replacing the diving board - which was another problem. We wanted to re-use the base and jig for the new board, but the crew just ripped out the existing base and jig to the point it couldn't be re-used and they cut the wires to the pool light at the electrical box instead of at the ground level. Nobody asked any questions, they just shook their heads and said "yes" when my husband tried to tell them how certain things needed to be done. When my husband tried to tell them the cement needed to be a certain thickness around the jig and base area for the diving board and it HAD TO BE LEVEL (as it was supporting a diving board) they didn't understand again, my husband had to grab a level and manipulate it in a way so they could understand "level", not uneven and the mounts all had to be level... It was a disaster. Then when it came time for their contract person to come remove all of the excess dirt and concrete from the driveway after all of the work was finished, he never showed up. We called and called and talked with Deb who is in charge of the crews and she told us he would be there this day and that day and he never was. We even called the OWNER, to let her know what was going on, and she didn't seem too awfully concerned with what was happening. I understand she has other things on her plate, but this is HER company. You would think she might have a little more gumption to find out what the problem is if she has an unhappy customer... Finally after about 5 days after the work was completed the guy shows up at the driveway with his truck and bobcat to remove all of the excess dirt and concrete. Evidently, he had been having issues with his truck, that was why he hadn't been there sooner. No, I would not recommend Premier Foundation. It was the biggest cluster ever!

Julie, owner, came to inspect house and came up with the same measurements other companies had but had a different approach on how many piers and where to place them to level my house. She was very knowledgeable and explained the difference in foundation repair piers and why her method was the best. She also will not put piers where you don't need them, reducing the cost. The crew came out to do the work and were very respectful of my property. They made sure to put any bushes they had to remove back when they came back (make sure you have buckets for them to use for your small bushes).- 2 step process where they dig the holes and pour concrete. Then they come back after the concrete has set (about a week) to lift the house and finish the job. They also ensured all sprinkler and landscape lighting was back to normal after the job was done and walked around with me to ensure I was satisfied. Great job!

The foundation repair went quicker than I expected. The crew worked very fast and diligently, they were all polite and very neat in their work. Some shrubs had to be removed to drill the piers and they crew kept them covered in dirt during the repair and replanted them after the job was complete. Foundation repair is an inhereently noisy and messy procedure but the Premier Foundation Repair crew did their best to complete the job quickly and neatly as well as keeping me informed on the progress. We discovered plumbing breaks caused by the foundation shitfing and Premier recommended a plumbing company to us that did an excellent job on those repairs.
Description of Work: The foundation inspection revealed three areas that needed to be repaired. Fifteen (15) holes were dug in the area along the foundation including 4 locations drilled through a concrete patio. The areas were excavated below the foundation in order to place the hydraulic jacks for lifting. Once the areas were dug out and piers drilled (two days work) the concrete was poured. The concrete cured for a week and the repair people returned. The jacks were put in place and the foundation was lifted back to level. The technician rechecked the levels in the original inspection areas to ensure the lifting had corrected the problems.

It went well. A crew of 2 came out and arrived on time. They looked at the job and explained how they would work. The driveway had sunk about 3 inches since the house was built almost 10 years ago, and the sidewalk had sunk about the same adjacent to the porch. They worked for several hours. Once the mudjacking was complete, they cleaned the excess material off the lawn and driveway and filled the spaces along the top of the drive and sidewalk with a compound that would allow for expansion. The job was so well done, my neighbor asked about it and we recommended Premier to them. My neighbor called Julie, got a price, and our workers just crossed the street to do that job. Busy day! The only problem we had came a few days later when I happened to notice there was an foot-long section along the side of the drive that you could still put your hand under. I called Premier and explained that I would like to have them come look at it and see if there was a reason for concern. The person who answered said she would let them know about it and get back to me as to date and time. Several days went by and no word. I called again. No results. I called a third time and finally the job foreman came by. He looked at it and explained that he hadn't been able to come because it would take time to get the equipment and materials and for such a small job, they wanted to wait until they were closer to the area. We live in a small town, kind of out of the way. I explained I had only wanted someone to LOOK at it and then schedule a time to fix it if necessary. He explained he was told it would be a repair, but he was out this way and wanted to look at it to determine how big a job it actually would be. He determined there was no problem and nothing further was required, but suggested in the Spring we put some sandy soil there and it would be fine. There would be no change in the stability of the mud already put in there.
Description of Work: Premier came and mudjacked our driveway and front walkway. They drilled several (6-7) 2" holes in the driveway and pumped a mixture of sand and concrete underneath until it bubbled out the side of the drive, which ensured the mixture reached everywhere. As they pumped, you could see the drive actually rise up. They did the same with the walkway.

I has several estimates from foundation companies before deciding on Premier. I even checked the BBB and Angie's List. I went with them for 2 reasons: 1.) They were much less expensive than some of the other companies. Some estimates I received were over $5,000 for pretty much the same work. 2.) I preferred their poured concrete pier method over the pushed pier methods of most of the other companies. Do your research! Everyone was easy to work with over the phone. The job was set for a Saturday. I had 6 piers installed on one corner. They dug holes under the home, drilled down until they hit the hard soil, and poured concrete down the holes reinforced with re-bar. Before they left for the day, they covered the holes with plywood. They came back the following Saturday to lift the home, which they do with air jacks. Once they lift it to the correct level, they place concrete blocks between the foundation and the piers for the home to sit on and fill in the holes with dirt. The job went well and I am pleased with the results up to this point. There were cracks in the exterior brick mortar and cracks in the drywall and floor tile grout before the job. They have all either closed completely or are much less visible since Premier lifted the corner. My only complaint is that the workers arrived about 30-45 minutes later than their scheduled time on both home visits. It wasn't much on an issue for me because I scheduled them on Saturday morning both times. Overall I think they did a great job and you can't beat their pricing. Hopefully I won't have to, but I would definitely call them again for foundation work.
Description of Work: One corner of my home was sinking due to foundation issues. Permier dug holes and poured concrete piers under the home, let the concrete set for a week, and came back to lift that corner. Simple and easy process. They also did it on a Saturday, which was nice. The only down side is you have to wait for a week for the concrete to set before they lift the home, but I feel the poured concrete piers are a much better option over the pushed concrete or steel piers and you risk less damage to your home during the install.

I called Premier along with 2 other companies for a foundation inspection/estimate after noticing some small cracks on the exterior brick of our home. The other 2 companies said it was crucial we do a repair right away, and they said more piers were needed than what Julie with Premier recommended (extending the repair area). Both of the other companies' estimates were double the cost Julie quoted. They both delivered a hard-sell approach telling me if the work wasn't done immediately I could be looking at substantial damage. Julie with Premier, on the other hand, told me the shift she saw was minimal and suggested we could wait a few months to see if additional shifting occurred and make a decision about the repair at that time. She told me to keep checking the area and if I noticed any change during that time to let her know so she could check the area again. I waited a few months, called Julie back for another inspection. After the second inspection, we decided to have the work done. When I asked her about installing the additional piers in the area the other companies recommended, she didn't feel it was necessary and suggested we wait and see if work would need to be done there. She said no damage would occur by waiting. We scheduled the work under the original estimate within a week or two, and the repair went fine. The contractors she sent were good to work with, were conscientious, explained what they were going to do. A few days after the job was completed, I noticed a small area of concrete at the driveway that I felt should be redone. I called Julie and she had someone out within a day or two to fix it. Again, that contractor showed me what he was going to do, then showed me the work that he did before he left to be sure I was happy with it. I decided to have my own landscaper take out my flowers in the repair area and replant them as Julie told me that while her contractors would do it they are not landscapers. The only issue I had following the repair was that a small area of our sprinkler line was damaged. I had our landscaper fix that at a minimal cost. I did not expect a foundation company to be an expert in landscaping and sprinkler repair and anticipated there might be some follow up work to get everything back to normal. Julie also explained some cracks could appear on interior walls following the lift and she offered to give me the name of a contractor for those repairs. When Julie came out for both the initial inspection and the follow up inspection, she was thorough and took the time to answer all my questions. I had a few follow up questions after she left and when I called her, she responded quickly. Also, when I decided to wait a few months before proceeding with the work, she told me she would honor the original estimate as long as her concrete prices did not go up. She honored the original price and did not increase the cost even though I waited about 3 months to do the work. I appreciated that she did not try to oversell the job or use scare tactics to get me to schedule the work right away. She was clear about what her company would and would not do. She pointed out some things around the house I could do to avoid future problems, such as gutter trays and hoses that needed to be repositioned. She talked to me about how to water so as not to water too much or too little. I would definitely use Premier Foundation for any future work needed.

So far, it’s turned out perfectly. They were just wonderful. From the moment the lady came to give the estimate from the time they finished the work, I couldn’t of asked for anything better. The people in the office were extremely helpful. They had two separate crews come out; they went out of their way to try and make as little of a mess as possible and they cleaned up.

It did not turn out good. The piers were not set properly so we’ve had movement and the piers are sinking. We’ve also had additional damage caused in the areas. When I have called her to come out and look at it, she says either there isn’t a problem or the problem areas are out of warranty; I would have to pay more money to get them fixed when she didn’t do it correctly the first time. I have spent thousands of dollars with them just to have the same problems and even worse problems. I will have to have another company come in and rip her stuff up and do it right. I would not use them or recommend them.

Within 1 day, this company destroyed my yard, home value, and landscaping, costing THREE times as much damage as the price they were charging to work in the foundation. I'd be happy to provide detailed information, including photos of the damage caused if anyone would like further info! This is specifically everything they do wrong: 1. During initial estimate, the company "owner" Julie Goines seemed incredibly annoyed to have to be there. She acted like checking foundation and providing a quite was a giant burden of her time and was incredibly rude and rushed. 2. She never called back to schedule the work. I had to call her a whole week later and remind her that id like to move forward on the foundation work. 3. the "contractors" arrived nearly 3 hours late on the day they were suppose to come. i assume this is why they were in such a rush to get finished that day. they were specifically asked by me not to leave clay and concrete all over the beds, to keep these materials below the soil, have top soil be next, followed by garden soil, then mulch (as the beds around the house originally stood). 4. Once they were "finished", i come home to find the entire beds surrounding the entire front of the house covered in clay and concrete. plants were not put back in the same place, half the plants were missing, more than half were buried in clay. The expensive top soil, garden soil, and mulch were also buried somewhere beneath the clay. the clay line rose 3"higher than the mulch previously stood- in some placing reaching the foundation line (which is a big no no and a cause of terminates) 5. I began attempting to rescue my plants from the clay, staring a pile of clay that ended up being 3 ft wide by 1 ft tall (just from about 4 feet of bed space) and beneath the clay i found my missing plants! they were chopped up and buried by the contractors in an attempt to hide what they did! clay was SO thick in most places that it couldn?t even be pulled out of the edging or plants or bushes. 6. When I called company Julie Goines 6 times and finally received an answer, she said the contractors are not landscapers and dont know anything about landscaping. i requested the she sent her landscapers out to fix the damage, but instead julie said shed send the same contractor out who caused it, the one she said knows nothing about about landscaping. 7. After this contractor came back, Julie shows up (again, acting completely annoyed and burdened for having to go out her way to do her job) She said the contractor guy would move the misplaced plants back to where they should be....which is the least of the problems. I said that unless its put back similar to how it was and the mess is cleaned up, that i wouldn?t be paying for the work. 8. A NORMAL company would be more than happy to do this- because they CARE about the quality of their work and WANT to do a good job. Not Premier. Julie huffed and puffed and said she doesn?t want the money and to forget about the warranty as well.( the warranty was a 20 yr one instated 5 years ago when the piers were first added) 9. And then, of course, the guy never showed up to fix the damage, not even to move the plants back to the correct place as they said they would. So what now? Im stuck with tons of damage and am having to get a new landscaper and foundation company come to fix all the messes that this company has caused. (come to find out they also did my neighbors house- and had to come back and REDO it because the first time it didn?t pass inspection!) BEWARE of this company!! If you do get a quote, know that this lady's attitude is a direct reflection of the work her "company" does! Does she seem like she doesn?t care at all? She doesn?t. Update 09/26/12: Turns out these things do not exist. Because Premier foundation lied to the prior homeowner about getting the proper permits to do the work! I called another foundation company (A-Plus Foundation in dallas) to have them come check the work. This is the conversation word-for-word: Me-"Id like someone to come out and check some foundation work for me done by another company. i want to make sure its done correctly and is up to code and will pass all inspections for sale. I don't trust this other company and I'm worried they half-a$$ did everything" A-Plus- "Was it Julie Goines at Premiere Foundation?" I kid you not. So A Plus comes out and tells me the VERY colorful history of "premiere". It turns out they used to be one company. then A-Plus couldn't stand Julie any longer and her illegal practices so they decided to split. Apparently Julie lies to homeowners and rarely get this required city permits for any of the work that is done. If her "workers" DO make mistakes, she gets butt-hurt and defensive and lashes out like a wild javelina. She did this to one of her very own neighbors! throwing a fit like a child and hysterically screaming all warranties are voided (which by the way, she is legally unable to do according to their one page "warranties" anyway) But this is how Julie deals with problems. And he owns this business. She takes no responsibility, has no pride in her work, and has left a long trail of people who refuse to do business with her any longer. Because really, who wants to do business with someone who acts like that? She's good at the insane game shes playing to avoid responsibility. people are terrified to stand up to her because of how she is going to act! If anyone is looking for foundation repair, id HIGHLY recommend A-Plus foundation. they are HONEST, straight forward, and ALWAYS get the legally required permits for any work they do. unfortunately for me, the prior home owners choose Julie because of her cheaper price (which she was able to offer by not having a permit to do the work). Watch out for this company. I cant image they will be in business much longer at this rate....
Description of Work: BEWARE of this company! I've never in my entire life seen anything like it- they have ZERO pride in their work, contracts out all labor to anyone available- regardless of experience, and NO customer service skils. They were SUPPOSE to come and preform maintenance and adjust the piers that they had installed about 5 years ago (before i owned the home) and were charging $50 per pier **FOLLOWUPNOTE: After this was was done so horribly, i hired new foundation co's to do consultations. they asked for copies of the engineer reports and permits so they knew what they were checking. come to find out, Premier Foundation was NEVER authorized to do this work in the first place and FAILED to get the proper city permits! There is NO record of them EVER filing for the permits with the city- which mean, the city never inspected the work to make sure it was done properly. In fact, they RARELY get the legally required permits for their work. Needless to say, the city is not happy. Premier may not be in business much longer... Update 09/26/12:This company did foundation work on my house in 2008. Now that im trying to sell I went by the city's buiolding permits department to get copies of the permits and engineers reports to prove the work was done and how it was done.

The Customer lives in a zero lot line home. When we initially had contact with her a few months ago when we needed access to her side yard to perform additional repairs to her neighbor’s property that they were trying to sell. The neighbor notified her of the work and we were turned away two times before we were able to gain access. The neighbors are extremely happy with our work and were very apologetic for their actions and delays to us for the work on their home. . Then the Customer decided she needed some adjustments on her home as well. I scheduled an appointment and went to see the house. I do not know why she thinks it was rushed or I was annoyed to look at the property. I was not. I told her that even though she had not transferred her warranty when she bought the property approximately 2 years ago that we would honor the warranty and transfer for her at no fee. (Transferable warranties are to be transferred within 30 days of the purchase or they are void. ) She was responsible for the cost of the pier adjustments under the terms of the warranty. She agreed to that and I told her we would call her when we were ready. She decided to call me before her turn came up on the schedule. The whole week later that she discusses is not an unreasonable time frame as all foundation contractors are busy this season and she is of course not our only job. She was so anxious I moved her up in the schedule. the Customer called me on Friday 9/14/12 at 3:52, 3:59, 4:03, 4:05, 4:33 I called her back I was in an appointment when she called, she called again at 4:51 and again at 5:09. In my first conversation with her she was screaming and yelling at me that she was outside trying to salvage her plants? She had ruined a pair of shoes that cost than the foundation repairs walking around in the clay and that she had to throw them in the trash. I sent my crew over and then after more calls from her I cancelled another appointment and rushed over to see the property. When I arrived I also took photos and have no idea what her huge issue is over. The yard was cleaned up the bushes were replanted etc. She was ranting and raving about everything from the soils being too high etc. I tried to explain to her as she was removing soil from her landscaping that no soils were added and that there would be some compaction and then the soils would be too low She acted as if she did not hear anything I was saying she was talking on the phone saying calling me profane names. She said that the plants were in the wrong locations. The one bush that we removed I told her we would come back the next day and move to the correct position and put some mulch in the flower beds (which is not our responsibility, were are structural contractors not landscapers). I pointed out that the type of plants (red tip fontinas) she had placed next to her foundation were not recommended due to the amount of water they take and the rapid growth rate she screamed at me telling me she watered and that was her house and she was responsible for her water bills. I tried explaining that water was not the issue and that it was a well known fact about the plants, etc.. She continued her rant threatening me with her attorney etc. Finally fed up with her attitude I told her the $750.00 she owed me she could keep and I was no longer willing to transfer the voided warranty. Then she started screaming at me to get off her lawn as I was taking photos. I have witnesses of her behavior. The next day she again called me and apologized for her erratic behavior and wanted to know why my crew had not shown up. I told her that I told my crew not to come and move the one plant because I was ordered off her property so we did not go back. Then she told me she wants the warranty transferred because she was at some point going to sell the home and she needed a transferable warranty. I told her she should be good that the adjustments had been made and Premier was DONE with her and she owed us no money. She called me back 4 times. She called me again on Monday and told me that if I would just transfer her warranty that I would NEVER have to speak with her again. She again said she was sorry for her behavior and that her plants (bushes) were her “babies”. I told her that she would have to pay for the adjustments that had been done and she said send her an invoice. Now she files this bogus complaint. Premier has been in business a since 1986 and is not going anywhere. The allegations that we never file for permits is FALSE. Some cities have a dollar amount that is the guidline for permitting. Now she is asking for more money than what we were going to charge her and she has not paid anything. The damage that she alleges is also false. In order to do adjustments piers have to be dug up . All foundation repair companies sometime have to do adjustments that is why there are warranties. So the allegation that the house had to be redone is also false. The house was not “redone” and only some of the piers were adjusted. The original homeowner we did the work for was happy with the work in 2005 and they hired us again in 2008 to do work in another area. The next door neighbor where we did work is happy with us as well as many many other clients.

We hired this company because we liked the field man. He was the only one to come out and go under the floor, and what he proposed to do was much more comprehensive than all the others. Cost was good, but not the lowest or highest. the problem is that when it was time to do the work we ended up with a different crew. it seems they (and maybe all these companies) use outside crews to do the work & the original crew was not available. so after discussing the details with the new crew, we set a time and started to work. (i still liked the first crew chief better but was trusting Premier to not send me a bad crew) On the construction day, i got an email stating there was a price increase - about 30%. i called an after about 4 hours discovered that Premier had been quoted more, so they wanted to pass this on to me - and remember i have people under my house while this is happening. well after much discussions, it was decided to have me pay the crew directly -premier was basically handing the problem over to me! The price then became a topic for discussion for the crew chief, and it seemed to be his main topic. Well this crew was on its way out when it started. my mistake was paying them without really reviewing their work, and in agreeing to let Premier off the hook. i have tried to have Premier out to finish the work, but they are 'trying to get the original crew out' - good luck below is the list of issues i sent to Premier that i want resolved. 1. Impatient to leave: I had a difficult time with Junior and his crew. They seemed to be skilled and know what they are doing, but we seemed to spend most of our time looking for ways to reduce the work, And they seemed ?headed out? the entire time. I was told this was a 3 day job, and on the second day the crew didn?t eat lunch, as they planned on finishing up and heading out instead. 2. Poorly done job: they put in the front and back beam along most of the house, and did a better than expected job. They did it better than I had hoped, and it seemed very wise the way they handled it. But then they seemed to end. The center of the house leveling was next and they seemed to be stabbing at getting it right. After they said they were done (lunch day 2) I crawled under the house and using their level found the house had a 2? drop in the center that was spread over about 8 piers. I then found another spot in front of the house that was out about 1?. This weekend I started working on getting the doors to work. I crawled under the front door, and then I found that the piers in that area were sketchy at best. The sims on one are not stacked and about to fall out, one doesn?t touch, and the front door is sitting on the edge of a 1? solid block, and not the pier. 3. Unfinished work: they didn?t put in the beams along the front or back of the house in the living room. They had left over beams, and I assumed they overbought. They took them away, and I didn?t realize that they were for the living room till this weekend when I was working on the door. 4. Inadequate equipment: they leveled my entire house with a 4? level. That is it. They used a transit for the dirt work, which was fine, but the house leveling was done with a 4? framing level. They started in 1 corner, and worked to the other end, moving the level 4? at a time. Salvador and Junior both told me that they had leveling equipment that was made for the job, but none was used. Excuses were made about why, but nothing changed. 5. The job was a fight ? from the start: for the 1st ½ a day, they worked hard, and the job went as I would expect. They did good work, but without the right equipment. Then after the pricing became an issue, things changed, and it seemed that most of the time and conversation with Junior was on the pricing, work load, and how we could reduce the costs. I did do that on the dirt work. I did most of the dirt work myself on the tractor. They changed how we got the back of the house to drain, so they didn?t have to remove any dirt by hand, so that got much easier. All the dirt that did get moved out was done with the tractor. Then on the 2nd day, they were leaving from the moment they got to the house. I had to send them back under the house 4 times to finish or fix their problems. I finally gave up ? paid them ? and they left. If I had to do it over again, I would do that much differently. I just didn?t realize the poor work, incomplete work, etc.
Description of Work: We have a post and beam house. that is a house on blocks What we needed done is - straighten up some of the blocks - add beams along the front and back of house - full length - move about 4 beams around to better locations - Add or replace about 10 beams - replace ones that were not solid blocks or missing pads - some lite framing to close off end of house, and dirt work to smooth out dirt - level and reset the entire house

9/19/12 Re: Customer complaint I sent a crew foreman out to Alvardao Which I told the Customer that was a little out of my area. He and the foreman went over the scope of the work and a price was given. Then the Customer called and changed the scope of the work so we again sent the foreman out to Alvardo to go over the job. Before the job could begin the foreman that I was going to use was unavailable so I offered to send another out to go over the job. I sent a new person Junior out to go over the scope of work. There was much confusion about what work he wanted done and what the charges would be. I went over the issues with the Customer and told him that if he liked he could just pay the new foreman directly that there was no money in the job for the company after all the changes in the scope of work as well as the pricing. The Customer said he would do the dirt work himself because he was in construction and had the equipment to do that part of the job. The Customer agree the option to stop the work the first day if he was not comfortable. The Customer inspected the work before they left and paid them. If he was not happy with the work I do not know why he paid them. I am enclosing the original bid which was for $4750.00 not the $4500.00. According to Junior the Customer added work to what they originally agreed to do. They spent a whole day doing wood work and adding skirting to the exterior of the foundation which was not in any of the original proposals. There was 96” of beams installed, 20 pads and blocks which is more than the original proposal, reshim and dirt work. The Customer called me and complained so I told him I would get in touch with Junior. I had trouble getting in touch with Junior he had a sick child that required hospitalization and surgery . This required an out of town trip. I did get in contact with Junior about the Customer stating that the work was done and he told me that the Customer crawled under the house extensively and was satisfied with the work and now was wanting more work but not wanting to pay more money. That he asked the Customer if he wanted the extra lumber and he said no and told him to take the wood. I have terminated this crew. There was never a contract with Premier and no money was ever paid to Premier. The Customer agreed to contract directly with the foreman so his issue is with Junior and not with Premier.

They were pretty fine. I guess they didn’t have enough dirt to fill back in some of the places, but besides that, everything was fine.

Premier was amazing to work with! Debbie kept in constant contact with me through the whole process and answered my many questions. I just cant say enough great things about the company. Gerardo and his crew did a great job and cleaned it all up when they were finished. They showed up when they said and did all the work on time! If you need foundation work on your house, make sure you call Premier!!
Description of Work: I had a Structural Engineer out to my house and he recommended 11 piers to stabilize and level our house. The previous owners of our house had some work done by Premier about 5-6 years ago. The SE commented to us that the previous work on our house was holding up amazingly well, especially with the rough weather we have had in Texas the last 3 years, and he was very impressed with the job they did. I called Premier Foundation Repair for a quote and they were amazing to deal with! I had a time crunch as I am selling my house and Julie was able to give me a quote based on the SE report I provided. Once we agreed on a price they started working the next day for me! They squeezed me in their busy schedule ASAP and did a great job!! From start to finish it was a great experience and I was very impressed with their company.

I had the owner come give me an estimate. I had gotten one from her several years before and she honored that estimate. There was some delay between the time of the original work (digging and pouring the piers) and the final work but it was not really their fault. The work foreman was knowledgeable and skilled. They had to dig where my sprinkler system was and it was not damaged.
Description of Work: They put 6 piers around the corner of my house and two root barriers.
