I found this company on the internet. I have an 80GB IPOD, that I have been unable to sync to my computer without the computer crashing... this has been going on for a couple of years but the IPOD has several thousand songs on it so I haven't been in a hurry to fix it. I found this company and it appeared that they would be able to fix my IPOD simply by me sending it to them in the mail (their physical address is relatively close to my home) which is preferrable to taking it to the APPLE STORE since you have to make an appointment.. My first contact with Greg was in an email in which I inquired as to the turn-around time. He told me typically 3-4 days after receiving the product. He also told me that my problem sounded like a "bad hard drive" and this could be repaired for approx $70. I boxed the IPOD as was suggested on his website and enclosed a check to the name of their website "PCVIRUSDOCTORS" for the $24 diagnostic fee. After mailing it I emailed him within a couple of days to confirm that he had received my device. He confirmed that he had and that the would begin working on it within a couple of days after he received a batch of new hard drives. 4 days later I emailed him asking what the status was on my repair job. He said he got a "batch of bad hard drives" and this was going to delay the repair. 6 days later I email him again.. "it's now been 2 wks" .... he says that he is waiting on a new batch of hard drives still ..."they should be here is in a couple of days ..." 6 more days later I emailed him...."it's approaching 3 wks, where is my IPOD". After this email I got a curt response from GREG saying that "you haven't paid me a dime.I don't know why you made a check out to the domain name when it should be made out to me, Greg Roberts." He then went on to say that my IPOD was repaired and that he would send it back to me when I sent him money for the work. However, he didn't give me the amount (his website also neglected to say who to make the check out to.) So, I call GREG and after inquiring as to the amount he told me to send him just $24. I asked why I was only sending $24, "did you not have to replace the harddrive." He said that he did not. This begged the question, "then why have you kept my IPOD for 3 wks?" He then launched into a tirade with frequent sighs and stated, "I don't appreciate your accusation." "I'm sorry what do you think I am accusing you of." His tirade became mostly incomprehensible from that point. I asked if he would be in his office in the near future so that I could come buy and pick-up my IPOD. He said "NO." "When will you be in?", "I don't know. When I get your money I will put your IPOD in the mail the next time I am near the post office." "When do you think that will be?" "The next time I am near the post office." ??? This would have been a humorous exchange except that he still has my IPOD... I have sent him the $24 via paypal and I am waiting
Description of Work: IPOD repair... supposedly they were supposed to replace the hard drive...
