Description of Work: I had an air conditioning and heating system installed.

Description of Work: Replaced our 20+ year old air conditioner/heating unit with a more energy efficient system. Also replaced all ducts and insulation around them. We needed a new heating and air conditioning unit. Ours was over 20 years old. We knew Jimmy when he was in business for himself. He's very honest. Another company said we needed a whole new system and a friend told us about Jimmy and asked we if he would come out and check our air conditioner. He did. He fixed a couple parts on it and said he thought that would give us another year or two. That was almost five years ago and it was still running, but we thought we'd better get a more energy efficient unit. Our electric bills were twice what everyone else's were, and we were starting to have problems once again. We, of course, called Jimmy who said he'd sold his business, but was working for them and would be glad to come out and give us an estimate. He gave us an estimate of $7,150 for an air conditioner/heating system (15.5 seer)--over twice the power of our old one. When he and his men were installing it, however, they found that the insulation had worn off the air ducts leaving them exposed and in poor condition. We decided to go ahead and have them replaced also which was an additional $500.
