Crosstown Engineering and Home Inspection

We worked with two engineers who answered all of our questions. They were very professional and courteous. We highly recommend this company.

I highly recommend Crosstown Engineering for all of the services they provide. I especially want single women to know how trustworthy, knowledgeable, and professional this organization is. Not understanding home structure and/or foundation inspection, that meant a lot to me. Based on my research along with reviews on Angie’s List and the BBB, I chose Crosstown Engineering. My first encounter (extremely important in any organization) was with Melissa who answered the phone. She asked me several questions based on a recent assessment. I was confident with her recommendation largely due to her patience and time in explaining her thought process. I scheduled to have a home structure assessment first. Angel came to perform the weight bearing inspection. He presented himself with such professionalism, assurance, and patience explaining in my terms what he concluded. He also insisted on cleaning up after his attic inspection. Adam came to do a foundation inspection. He presented himself in the same manner. It was clear why his staff were professional with integrity…he was the CEO. He was very personable and his years of experience along with his in-depth knowledge was admirable. Again, I appreciated the thorough inspection and his patience to explain in my terms his conclusion/recommendations. Tiffany and I then communicated once both reports had been delivered (within a week on each inspection). Her return calls were always very prompt. If she was not able to address a question, she researched with a follow up the same day. The expense for the inspection and report was well worth it. I’ve had Adam Green out twice in the last few years to do a foundation evaluation. Once in July 2019 and once in February 2021. Mr. Green is fantastic to work with. He is always punctual, efficient, and friendly. Mr. Green has provided excellent customer service and he gets the job done in under an hour! Adam Green of Crosstown Engineering did a report on a property we were purchasing in North Richland Hills. Based on his report stating all foundation work was completed and correct, we finalized the purchase of this property. His report was done on 9-24-2020. We immediately upon walking into our home knew there was a major issue because the entire house was sinking on the back end and at a sharp angle. The foundation was very clearly not done correctly. Right away we called crosstown engineering which said they would have Adam Green contact us. Within a few hours he came unannounced to our property to examine the home. He said the foundation was not straight or correct and he would send us a report for all the repairs that would be needed. Upon realizing the mistake he made by admitting the foundation was not correct and after he had already signed a report stating is was correct, he avoided us and never sent the new report to list the corrections he stated were needed. After we were left stranded by both the Foundation Company and Crosstown Engineering with a completely crooked house. We contacted 5 professional engineers & foundation experts and they all advised that major repairs were needed and the previous work was not done correctly or to proper standards. Upon learning this information we contacted the city and also found that a permit was initially pulled for the foundation work but was never inspected or finalized. As they have abandoned us and refuse to fix their mistakes we have started a lawsuit to remedy our horrible situation. Upon learning of the lawsuit, Adam Green of crosstown Engineering refused to accept the papers to be served and told us “GOOD LUCK FINDING ME”. BEWARE of this engineering firm, they will falsify reports and then hide from you while you sit suffering in a home that is sinking and falling into the ground. They won’t care about you or your family. We have 4 kids and this has been the most awful experience for all of us during this pandemic. Not having a safe home for my kids and knowing someone willingly did this and refuses to help or take responsibility for the broken home they have us in is sickening. We are not only going after them legally we are also going straight to the Engineering boards and after the license so this never happens to another family again.

If I could give them 10 stars, I would. Affordable, reliable, thorough, competent, honest, knowledgeable, timely, great customer service. They are everything you would hope for if you’re needing an engineer. Within 2 months of purchasing our home, we noticed sudden, dramatic shifting in our foundation. Turns out our sewer was to blame. Being that it became an insurance claim, Crosstown was one of many engineer companies I called in the DFW area. I had the pleasure of speaking to Amanda who grasped and addressed all of my home issues, and explained in detail what would take place during the inspection. If she isn’t an engineer, she’s been trained very well. Not only is she competent, efficient and knowledgeable, she has excellent customer service. I wasn’t quite ready to commit but I had been so impressed with Amanda’s service the first time, I called back several weeks later and spoke with her again. She has incredible recall. I didn’t have to re-explain anything. She immediately knew who I was and got me scheduled within a few days with the senior engineer, Adam. Adam arrived right on time and had the best rapport. He was in and out in about 30 minutes or so, measured every room wall to wall, inside and out, and still took the time to truly listen to me and answer every question I had. He clearly knows what he’s doing. I received my report within just a few days which included everything that I needed for my insurance agent and a clear plan that I can provide to the foundation company. He also gave me something no one has thus far - peace of mind! I truly am beyond impressed. They know how to run a business. Don’t waste your time or money on anyone else but Crosstown.

Very professional. David showed up promptly at the scheduled time. He completed his work thoroughly and expeditiously. We felt very confident with his knowledge. The work was included with an agreement with the foundation company but would hire them directly if I need their services in the future.

Went as expected. He performed an independent initial repair assessment. Cost was covered by contractor hired to do foundation repair.

We had foundation work performed by a company in 2018 along the back of our house. Crosstown Engineering did the post-repair third party evaluation. We thought we noticed some shifting in the back patio area behind our house in the middle of 2020 so we contacted the foundation company for a warranty check and they recommended some new piers be installed. We called Crosstown Engineering for a second unbiased opinion and Adam Green came out again. He was on time and very thoughtful in answering questions. He provided good information and recommendations for us and overall we had a very positive experience. He did not think any repair were needed at this time. There is definitely value in hiring a third-party group with no financial incentive in the game to give an unbiased opinion as to potentially large projects like foundation work. Because this was a reinspection on a site they had previously done an evaluation on, the price was cheaper than a new inspection, which was a welcome finding! Overall, I highly recommend Adam and his team.

Melissa who took care of the scheduling side and Adam the lead engineer who came to the house were both terrific. I’ve worked with Crosstown previously for foundation issues at a previous home which was why I went back to them now. Prompt, efficient, friendly and professional couldn’t be happier with Crosstown.

We are planning on removing some walls in our house. I contacted Crosstown Engineering to see if they could help. Their engineer, Angel, came out to take a look. Angel was very professional, right on time, and did an awesome job explaining everything to me. He pointed out the changes we would need to make, helped me to understand the process to tear down our walls, and provided an excellent written report for us. If I need structural work or any other type of engineering, I am coming back to Crosstown Engineering.

Outstanding. Angel was extremely knowledgable, a great listener and provided 2 great options for opening up the kitchen into the family room.which we wanted to do. He explained everything very well and put all the necessary detail in the report for our general contractor. Would use Crosstown again and would ask for Angel!
