Crosstown Engineering and Home Inspection

He was professional & friendly. He explained what he was going to do & answered my questions fully.

The engineer was prompt, professional, and patient in explaining the situation.

They said nothing wrong with building, But, in my opinion, foundation was flawed. Their report said not intended to be a detailed technical evaluation, but, that is what I hired them for. That statement: "not intended to be a detailed technical evaluation " does not make sense.

Hiring Crosstown was truly a relief with such much juggling going on when purchasing an older home. I was able to the inspection done the next business day and Steve really helped me understand what was going on with the foundation. So professional and throughout. Hands down, recommend.

Lee was our inspector and he was great. He did the first inspection and I asked for him to come back to do the inspection after the repairs were done. He answered all of our questions and explained everything thoroughly.

The engineer that came to my home was so helpful and friendly. He explained things thoroughly and in a way that made it easy for me to understand what needed to be done. Daniel, the Crosstown engineer went into attic to see the bathroom structure and determined the walls were not load bearing. Daniel was professional and competent. I trust him to do a good job and would request his service again. My only request to the company is to reduce the fee if no engineering plan is needed or provided. I feel they should be compensated for their time , but Crosstown charges $420 whether they do an engineering plan or not, other companies only charge when an engineering plan is provided.

Randy was the engineer who did post inspection after repair work completed by Structural Foundation. He was very thorough and answered our questions following the completed work. Very congenial

They were on time and completed the revaluation quickly. He then explained his findings & answered my questions. He then recommended how long I should wait before having plaster repairs. Very professional & nice.

The P.E. Came out, talked to me about what concerns there were, and developed a plan of attack to remediate the problem. This was followed by a detailed report. After the work was completed by a contractor, the same Engineer came to inspect the work and to insure that it satisfied city code and recommended engineering practices. Again a report was provided very promptly. Crosstown’s engineer was very professional, friendly and knowledgable. I will call them again if I ever need professional home construction/maintenance advice.

Crosstown Engineering was phenomenal! After receiving a $22,000.00 estimate from a foundation repair company, I called Crosstown for an independent estimate. The Crosstown schedulers were very helpful in getting me set up quickly and the engineer did a thorough inspection and then clearly communicated the results. In short, he found that no foundation repairs were needed, so Crosstown saved us thousands of dollars.

Chase Mclean arrived early. He conducted a basic interview about why the inspection was necessary to get an idea of what was hoping on from my perspective as the homeowner. This is huge for me as it made me feel like my opinion mattered even though he has been doing this for over a decade, surely he could've come in and just done his work and left. Chase did a great job of being quick and efficient with his work while not cutting corners on any of the details. The report was provided in less than the time quoted. Because my foundation was borderline in need of repair, they made some suggestions for what I could do myself and let me know what to look for to confirm improvement and also signs to look for to confirm repairs were needed. I never felt pressured to get work done and am confident that the resulting recommendation from them was indeed the best course of action for me and my home. Also want to commend Amanda Williams who took my call and set up my appointment. Her follow up after the inspection was professional and courteous. Foundation repair can be costly and scary my experience was neither. Crosstown are true pros from the top down!
