Henry Washington was the tech that came out to my house to fix the computer. He did have to leave and then come back to finish, so it took him two trips. They were not able to save the information on my hard drive, so he did recommend another company that might be able to extract some information for me. He was very nice.
Description of Work: I had a virus on my computer that destroyed my hard drive, so they installed a new hard drive and all of the software on my computer.

Within a few weeks the computer started sporadically not booting. Each of the two times I took it in it booted up and they said there was nothing they could do, so I took it home. After a year it more consistently wouldn't boot and I took it in again. This time they said they would run diagnostics on it. I told them it was the hard drive but they wouldn't listen. They took 2 weeks to diagnose a bad hard drive and another 2 weeks to get a refurbished drive from the manufacturer then another week to "run tests". After the first 2 weeks I complained about how long it was taking. As a "loaner" they had me purchase an "opened" computer to use until they fixed mine. 6 months later (March) the computer stopped suddenly after a reboot and I couldn't get it to boot at all. They had the computer for 2 months this time. Finally, they called to tell me it was ready. This time they said it was the memory that was bad. The service people are indifferent, untrained and surly.
Description of Work: They serviced a computer, under warranty, that would not boot up. I bought an off brand computer on sale and purchased the COMPUSA two year warranty. Note that their 2 year warranty overlaps the 1 year manufacturer's warranty, so it only "extends" it by a year, not by 2 years.
