Classic Scapes

I dealt with Charlie Tyack. I am meticulous and thought they did an excellent job. Got several quotes and they were the most professional and the cheapest to boot. Would happily use again.

I contacted Classic Scapes well in advance of the work, as I needed to coordinate their work along with foundation repair and wood floors. I had to follow up with them to get the drawings and estimates, and the early responsiveness was a little slow, but once we agreed on the work, there was plenty of communication. They even arranged for my wife to see some of their previous work to make sure we knew what we were looking at. The work was completed on time, along with the other work being done. The timing was critical because the tear-out had to be done before the foundation repair, and we wanted the new patio poured immediately after the foundation work was done. Everything fell into place perfectly, even having to adjust a little for weather. We couldn't be happier with the way the stamped concrete patio turned out. My neighbors cannot believe that it's not flagstone, and they're kicking themselves for doing their patio in plain concrete. The crews were courteous, professional, and did a great job of keeping the area cleaned up. The few changes we made along the way were addressed promptly and well done. The price for the services was reasonable and clearly laid out in the estimates. The additions and deletions along the way that were also priced fairly. We're working on scheduling the next phase (patio cover), and I'll update the review then. I would recommend them and will be using them again for future work.

I had quite a bit of work I wanted to have done to my yard. Have had a terrible time with landscaping companies, who will largely show up, but then never call back, etc. Started getting estimates for my project in the Spring, and had mostly settled in on using Classic Scapes, as they were prompt and at least showed up. The estimate came, so I thought I had finally found a responsive company. I had questions on some of the items on the estimate, and that's when things started to unravel. Calls were not returned, and so much time passed that - once I finally reached the owner - they had to come out and start over. He apologized profusely, and said they would get back to me with a new estimate, as well as drawings for the design they were proposing. That's the last I heard from them, so they obviously didn't want/need my business. A lot of wasted time, which shot the Spring growing season. I'll give it another go next year with another contractor...

Bad. I spent a lot of time searching Angie's list for landscapers and although none had a lot of reports I picked out five companies that all had A's or B's for responsiveness. I've got to say it is disappointing that not one of the companies returned my calls to schedule appointments. Using the yellow pages I at least was able to get two companies to come out.

Excellent 1-day service. Still have one pending effort they need to complete. They need to mount the provided address plaque and sign in the front of the house.
