I wish I never heard of Chihua Ceramic and Marble Tile. The people they sent to lay the tile were not professional installers. The end result looked like amateurs did it and I think I will end up needing the floor redone - but not by Chihua. These are just a few of the problems I had. 1. They used gray mortar and I had chose a light grout. Now the gray peeks through the grout in spots. 2. 4 days after install the floor still has that hollow sound - sounds like I'll have loose tiles in my future. 3. Chipped tiles while cleaning out the built up mortar between the tiles. 4. The installers told me they don't do the carpet tile transition at the doorways. The guy in charge said "we don't do that we usually work in new houses" as their excuse. After they grouted and left I found 1-2 inches of dried grout caked up between the end of the tile and reaching under the carpet in the bedrooms. This is the only problem the company actually resolved. They arranged for a professional carpet installer to correct the problem. They offered to remove and reset some tiles, but I had no confidence in their ability to make things better and not worse. In the end, I feel robbed.
Description of Work: I hired this company to install 625 sq feet of ceramic tile.

Maribel was absolutely wonderful in the management of this extensive work. She was very helpful in showing us all our options and giving us a fair price for the extreme quality tile we purchased. The sub-contractor she hired do the work was skilled and knowledgeable. I recommend her for any household that needs this type of work done.
Description of Work: Maribel Contreras handled the sale and installation and arranging for the contractor to do the installation. The job involved putting in 1200 square feet of Travertine tile, with hand chiseled edges in a hop scotch on the walls in two bathrooms. They also installed 900 square feet of the Travertine tile on the floors. They had to remove and dispose of the old tile, prepare the walls, rebuild the shower and put in new waterproof drywall. They installed a new shower pan, grout, and triple seal on the tile.
